Ch.64

Lucario immediately used Calm Mind and Sword Dance, while Flygon used Agility and a Dragon Dance. Lucario then charged toward Flygon while charging up his next move which appeared to be an Ice Punch. While Flygon waited for Lucario to close the distance a bit more before releasing a screech that even made the invisible barrier crack slightly from the power behind it. 

Lucario fell to his knees grabbing his ears while crying out in pain, canceling his move. The move Flygon used appeared to be Boomburst, which looked like it might have ruptured Lucario's eardrums. Lucario pushed himself up and launched himself at Flygon with another Ice Punch. 

Flygon quickly flew back and up, though was not quick enough not expecting Lucario to recover so quickly, and was hit by the punch. The Ice Punch burst on contact with Flygon's body making Flygon cry out in pain. Though now Lucario was falling back down to the ground leaving very little chance to dodge the next attack. 

Flygon used Earthpower which exploded right underneath Lucario, who couldn't dodge and was caught in the explosion. Lucario was launched back a few feet while catching himself in a flip though now we can see he is not only bleeding from his ears but from minor cuts across his body too. 

Lucario then appeared to be charging up a Dragon Pulse, as Flygon gathered more Normal Type energy. Flygon and Lucario released their moves at the same time, with Lucario releasing a Dragon Pulse toward Flygon who cried out in pain falling to the ground. While Lucario froze up in extreme pain before falling forward unconscious. 

Aaron looked happy as he had now taken down two of her team members. Cynthia looked slightly annoyed but threw out her next Pokémon, Togekiss. Aaron, now looked annoyed once again seeing the perfect counter to his Flygon. 

Togekiss is a white, avian Pokémon with an ovoid body. While its feet are small and situated closely together, its wings are broad and triangular. Red and blue triangular markings over its underside, and it has a short tail consisting of three feathers. On the back of its head are three spikes: a red-tipped one on the right, a blue-tipped one on the left, and a pure white one in the middle. Togekiss has a relatively flat face and small, black eyes.

As soon as the match started, Togekiss used Moonblast as Flygon was about to release a Sandstorm. Though the Moonblast hit Flygon making it crash into the ground where it struggled to stand. Before Togekiss could use another move, Aaron withdrew Flygon seeing that he lost the battle already. 

Aaron then sent out his ace, Drapion, the perfect counter to Togekiss. Drapion is a large, purple, scorpion-like Pokémon. Its eyes are a pointed shape, with blue-colored upper portions. Drapion has two small, pointed protrusions between its eyes and one on the back of its head. Drapion also has protrusions on its jaws, two on the upper and three on the lower, with large, fang-like, white-colored features extending from its mouth. Its body is composed of many violet-to-lavender body segments which end with a tail with two stingers. Drapion has four segmented legs with pointed toes. 

Before the battle began, Cynthia withdrew Togekiss seeing that she had no chance to win the battle. Aaron smirked at this, though Cynthia then sent out Porygon-Z. Porygon-Z's head is fuchsia and ovoid in shape with a short, blunt antenna protruding upwards and a blue bill similar to that of a duck. Its eyes are yellow and have black rings, similar to a bulls-eye. The head is completely detached from the body and floats slightly above it. Its smooth, ovoid body is fuchsia with a blue ring connecting its arms. Two arms are loosely connected to their upper body and have no features other than their blue color. The tail is also blue and featureless but slightly resembles a paddle.

The battle then continued, with Porygon-Z using Magnet Rise making it immune to Earth Type moves for a few minutes and Agility. Drapion used Hone Claws and Scary Face, which negated Porygon-Z's Agility buff. 

Porygon-Z then charged up a Tri-attack move as three orbs one yellow, one red, and one blue began to swirl in a circle in front of it. While Drapion charged toward Porygon-Z with its claws dripping a deep violet poison. As Drapion was halfway to Porygon-Z, they released their move which swirled into a beam of the three colors and struck Drapion square in the chest. 

Drapion grunted in pain but continued his charge forward, Porygon-Z then quickly charged up electrical energy. Drapion slashed at Porygon-Z with both of its large clawed arms, Porygon-Z tried to dodge them, missing one strike but the other arm struck it. Porygon-Z stumbled back and then released a wave of electricity which rippled across the ground. The electricity moved through Drapion's body and made his muscles lock up as the electricity continued to move through his body. 

Drapion was not paralyzed, however, it appeared Porygon-Z was poisoned as Porygon-Z was wincing and there was a small purplish area on its body. Porygon-Z used this moment to quickly escape from a Drapion which was grunting and slowly moving its partially paralyzed body. Once Porygon-Z reached the other side of the arena, they used Rest which cured it of Poison and healed the injury from the strike. 

Drapion then quickly charged up a new move as Porygon-Z was moving away finally releasing it as Porygon-Z fell asleep. A Sludge Bomb was launched toward Porygon-Z, however, just as it reached Porygon-Z, they used Protect with the help of Sleep Talk. The Sludge Bomb exploded on the invisible barrier surrounding Porygon-Z. 

Porygon-Z then released another move using Sleep Talk, which gathered a lot of Normal Type energy. Then a huge blast of energy flew toward a barley moving Drapion as Porygon-Z used Hyper Beam. Drapion's eyes widened at the attack it couldn't dodge. Then the attack exploded as it struck Drapion, with a huge cloud of dust taking over the arena as everyone looked on in excitement and curiosity. 

"Drapion is unconscious! Trainer Cynthia and Porygon-Z have won the match!" the referee says making everyone cheer including myself. 

Aaron and Cynthia shared a sportsman-like handshake as Aaron left the arena. Cynthia then went to get her Team healed up before her next match. I was in a VIP booth along with her Family which allowed us to have our Pokémon out to watch this too. My team looked down proudly at Cynthia's victory. The match after them was between Flint and Lucian. How should both become the newest members of the Elite Four in this region after this tournament. 

Flint, like my Dad, was a Fire Type Pokémon specialist. Lucian like Solomon and Sabrina, was a Psychic Type Pokémon specialist. The two squared off and the match was even more intense than the one between Cynthia and Aaron, as Flint and Lucian were almost completely equal in power. However, Lucian won as his ace Gallade, won against Flint's ace Infernape.

Then there was a break for an hour, as Lucian's team needed a break before he fought against Cynthia in the last battle in the semi-finals. Cynthia came up here and we all congratulated her on her latest battle, while she ate lunch with us so too did her team. Then the time came when she had to battle Lucian and so she headed back down to the arena. 

There she took her spot, as Lucian took his and the two sent out their first Pokémon. Like last time, Cynthia sent out Spiritomb first, while Lucian sent out Mr. Mime. Then the battle quickly began. 

Spiritomb immediately used Nasty Plot and then Substitute, which made an almost perfect copy of itself take its place. While the real Spiritomb quickly was moving to another spot in the arena. Mr. Mime used Light Screen and Reflect while Spiritomb was using their moves. 

Spiritomb then used Shadow Ball through its copy, while Mr. Mime used Dazzling Gleam. The Shadow Ball quickly flew toward Mr. Mime who jumped up while posing in the air dodging the Shadow Ball. With his Dazzling Gleam smashing into the copy of Spiritomb, which disintegrated on contact. 

Mr. Mime looked surprised at the fake copy, as did Lucian. Then Spiritomb used its next move right after its copy disappeared. The move made Mr. Mime's gloves come alive and began punching himself, as Spiritomb used Poltergeist. Mr. Mime was panicking at the sudden takeover of his gloves and cried out in pain as his gloves critically hit him. 

Spiritomb then quickly used another Shadow Ball, as Mr. Mime was trying to regain control of his gloves. The Shadow Ball struck Mr. Mime right in the face exploding on contact with ghostly energy. As the energy dissipated, Mr. Mime was seen on the ground knocked out, and then the gloves dropped on the ground leaving back to Mr. Mime's control.

Lucian without showing any emotion withdrew Mr. Mime and then brought out his next Pokémon, Bronzong. Bronzong is a large Pokémon resembling a blue-green bell with two arms coming out of its sides. It has a hollow body and a yoke attached at the top. Its face can be best described as being a 'Totem Pole' design; Bronzong has two round, red eyes with blue-green irises and a rectangular mouth with one visible row of square teeth. It also has several darker, rectangular markings on its body.

The rest of the match should quickly end, as none of Lucian's other Pokémon can really counter Spiritomb. Though anything could happen, however, I knew Cynthia was going to win. Spiritomb used another Substitute, before disappearing from view and then quickly began charging up a Shadow Ball. 

Bronzong quickly used Shadow Ball which revealed the real Spiritomb, just as the Shadow Ball from Spiritomb was released toward them. The Shadow Ball from Spiritomb struck Bonzong and revealed that it was also a copy. This caught both Cynthia and Spiritomb by surprise. 

Bronzong then appeared as it was quickly charging Spiritomb, who then began to charge up another Ghost Type move. Right as Bonzong was a few feet away, Spiritomb released another Shadow Ball which struck Bonzong point blank making the Pokémon grunt in pain. However, Bonzong pushed through and used Heavy Press slamming into Spiritomb's body crushing the rock body below its very heavy weight. 

Spiritomb cried out in pain and as Bonzong floated back up, we could see a large crack on Spiritomb's body showing a critical hit from Bonzong. Bonzong then looked ready to use Heavy Slam again, Spiritomb then used Sucker Punch forming a dark hand made of Dark Type energy. The dark fist smacked Bonzong in the face stunning it before it could strike Spiritomb again. 

Spiritomb then disappeared as it used Phantom Force, Bonzong looked around with a narrowed gaze. A few seconds after Spiritomb disappeared, it reappeared behind Bonzong who immediately used Protect. However, Phantom Force slips through the invisible shield and hits Bonzong right in the face again. 

Bonzong cries out in pain stumbling back from the strike. Bonzong then quickly tried to use another Heavy Slam, though Spiritomb used another Shadow Ball smashing right into Bonzong. Bonzong then fell face forward out of the small explosion on the ground unconscious. 

Lucian now showed some annoyance, before withdrawing Bonzong and sending out Slowbro. Slowbro is a bipedal, pink Pokémon with a tan, striped belly and a rounded, tan muzzle. It has large, vacant eyes, curled ears, and two small pointed teeth protruding from its upper jaw. It has three clawed fingers on its hands and two clawed toes on its feet. There is a Shellder attached to its tail. This Shellder has a gray, spiral shell with darker gray spots and small, triangular eyes near the base. There are several spikes across the surface of the Shellder, and it holds onto Slowbro with many sharp teeth.
