Chapter 10

After some time, we arrived at the very familiar drug store.

I parked the car across from the drug store, then we got out. After that, we went to the trunk and took out our duffle bags.

There are several walkers banging on the security gate of the drug store. As Lee looked at the sight, his eyebrows furrowed in worry.

I looked at him, then patted his shoulder twice. I didn't want to say that his parents and brother are okay because I know that they aren't. I don't want to lie to him. Of course, lying about my past is a whole another thing. Aaand, he's lying too about the murder he committed, so yeah.

I looked at Lee and asked for the revolver, "Give me the gun, I'll take out a few", while holding my hand out.

Lee looked at me and said, "What, you think I can't take care of them?" with a smile.

"Fine, you do it." I replied with a chuckle.

Lee took out the revolver from under his belt and swiftly killed 4 walkers with the 4 bullets the gun had.

He looked at me with a smirk.

"Alright, not bad, old man." I said jokingly.

"Huh?" He looked at me with a slightly hurtful expression. "Old man? Seriously?" He tried to have a serious expression but couldn't hold it and laughed.

"They're coming closer and closer!" Clementine said with worry and urgency.

"Okay, okay, let's do this, Lee." I said while taking out my steel pipe.

"Yeah." He muttered as he took out his switchblade.

Together we moved forward.

I saw two walkers coming for me. I readied the pipe in my two hands and as soon as one of them came into my range, like a baseball player, I smashed its head and it fell to the ground limply. I saw the other one was next to me already, so I didn't waste time, raised the pipe, and smashed its left temple, ending its existence instantly. I let out a big breath as I looked at the decaying blood dripping on the pipe.

Meanwhile, as I was taking out the two walkers, Lee was fighting 2 as well.

Lee took a fighting stance as he waited for one of them to come close enough. Soon, one was close enough, and he stepped forward, grabbed its collar, and stabbed the blade into its eye, killing it. He let go of it and quickly sliced to his right, as he saw one of them approaching him from the corner of his eye. The blade sliced off the jaw of the walker, but it didn't kill it. So Lee took a step back, then stabbed it in its forehead, ending it. He let out a sigh of relief, but he didn't watch his back.

A walker grabbed Lee's arm and pulled it toward its mouth, wanting to taste his fresh flesh. "SHIT!"

As that was happening, I killed 3 more walkers. I noticed that Lee was in trouble, so I abandoned the walkers and ran toward Lee.

But I heard him shout again, "Help Clem!" Hearing this, I looked over at her and saw a walker trying to get to her. She ran and hid under the car. "Fuck!" I cursed out loud and ran to her.

When I got there, I wasted no time and stomped on the head of the walker trying to get under the car.

"Come on, Clem!" I grabbed her hand as she got out from under the car and we started running.

When we got back to Lee, we saw that he had already taken care of the walker without a scratch. Seeing this, I sighed in relief.

After that, Lee and I killed 6 more walkers.

When we finished, I asked Clem if she had a hairpin or something like that, but she did not, so I didn't have any choice but to pick up the brick laying in front of the gate and smash the lock with it. It took me 4 tries, but eventually, it broke.

I opened the gate, then knocked on the door, believing that the group is in there. A few seconds later, the door opened, but the problem was that a gun was pointed at my face.

"Woah, haha...Hello..." I said with a smile. I didn't even put my hand up but put my hand on the other door and put my other hand on my hip.

Lee looked at me weirdly before saying, "Um...We took care of the, uh, walkers outside the gate. Um, can we come inside?"

The person who had pointed the gun at my head was, of course, Carley. My dear, lovable Carley.

Am I creepy? Maybe. But look inside yourself and just think how you would act if you met, I don't know, Maggie or...Carol, if you're into way older ladies.

Carley looked at us suspiciously, but then her eyes caught sight of Clementine, and she lowered the gun. "Come in," she said.

As soon as we stepped inside, as you'd expect, Lily started arguing with Carley for bringing even more people inside. And it seemed like the 'plot' progressed, as I saw Larry sitting in the corner, clenching his chest.

At the cashier part of the store, there was Kenny, the other legend, Duck, Katja, and Laurie Holden...wait, Andrea?

'HOW THE FUCK IS SHE HERE?!' I screamed in my head. 'Wait...is, is the game and the TV series merged together? So, that's how it is...' I quickly put together what was happening. 'But still. Why is she with Kenny's family?'

"Lee, go get to know these people while I try and calm the black-haired woman down," I whispered to Lee, who nodded at what I said. Of course, Clem just followed him; it seems like it won't change that she'll just stick to him no matter what.
