6 Chapter 6: Pokémon Summer Camp
After walking past two blocks, I finally arrived at Professor Oak's lab.
In front of his lab, there were approximately 16 kids there, all from the Kanto region. There were other regions' kids yet to arrive; they would only join us at the location that would hold the summer camp.
The 16 kids were with their moms, and after a few minutes, they all left as Professor Oak came out of his laboratory with his usual friendly smile.
I was also there, but I hadn't seen any of my friends other than Gary. Daisy wasn't there with us because she had already gone to the breeding school, the best breeding school at that.
As I saw Gary with his hands inside his pocket, wearing all purple clothes, I walked toward him, greeting him with a small smile on my face.
"Yo, Gary, how're ya? And where's Ash?" I pretended to be quite confused, even though I knew he'd be late for the summer camp.
"Oh, it's you, Izana! Ash must be in dreamland. Sigh! That dimwit is always late, as expected from a loser," snorted Gary.
"My, my! Don't be so harsh on Ash, you know," I said, trying to ease up the weird atmosphere gathering around Gary, who only humphed and stared at Professor Oak.
"Hello there, kids! I'm Professor Oak, but you all must already be familiar with me, right? You must already know where we're going, right? Even so, I'll still tell you all. We're going to the mountainous area where we will hold the 3rd summer camp!" Professor Oak said with his usual smile as the children clapped for him..
"Then, if all of you are ready and here, then let's not waste any time and head toward our destination," Professor Oak said, about to tell the kids to get on the bus when he heard a shout.
"Hey! I overslept. I hope I'm not too late. Huff, huff," Ash said as he arrived at the nick of time, huffing while grabbing his legs.
"Oh, you're finally here at last, Ash Ketchum!" Prof. Oak said, still maintaining his usual smile, even though he was annoyed that Ash was late despite several notices.
"Oh ho, you're late as always, huh! As expected from a loser! You should learn from me not to be late always," Gary said, adopting his arrogant personality.
Well, you might be confused why Gary speaks so politely with me while he speaks so harshly to Ash, right? Well, when we were 3 years old, he also started to refer to me as a loser and dimwit, but that day, I beat him so hard that I accidentally broke his nose. Since then, he's never spoken to me that way, always speaking to me politely.
"Ahem! Since you all are here, then make a line of two and get on the bus," Professor coughed a little to gain the attention of the kids who were focused on Ash and Gary, and told the kids to get on the bus.
All of the kids did as they were told, forming a line, and then got on the bus accordingly, without making any trouble.
After all of the kids were on the bus, the driver drove the bus, following Professor Oak's red car that was ahead of the bus.

After enjoying the scenery while coming to the location of the summer camp, I couldn't help but break out in a small smile as the natural beauty of the Pokémon world was undoubtedly beautiful.

(3rd Pov)
While enjoying the scenery, he didn't notice that the bus had already stopped. He only noticed after getting a call from Ash, who sat beside him on the bus.
"Hey, Izana! We're here. Let's go quickly!" Ash said as Izana nodded quietly and followed after Ash as they both got out of the bus.
The surroundings of the location of the summer camp were surrounded by forests as it was in the center of the forest.
(A/N: I do not know the name of the place where the summer camp is held, so I just named it "location of summer camp.")
After that, the people from the other regions also came here with their bus as they got out of it and started to mix in with the Kanto region's kids.
As all of the kids who will participate in the summer camp finally arrived, Professor Oak then told all of them to gather in order.
As we all gathered orderly, Professor Oak with his four assistants stood before the gathered kids as the professor cleared his throat before saying...
"Since the kids from the other regions are also here, then I officially announce that the 3rd summer camp officially begins," he shouted as all of the gathered kids heard him clearly and started to discuss with their friends who came.
"Ahem! Now we will make ten groups of the kids from all of the regions mixed. Come here one after another and take out a piece of paper and open it. Those pieces of paper contain numbers, and those of you who got the same number will be on the same team," Professor Oak said as the kids lined up in one line and all took out a piece of paper from the jar near Professor Oak.
After about 12 or 13 kids took their turns, it was finally my turn as I placed my hands inside the jar and took out a small piece of paper.
Then I walked near a tree and stood underneath it as I opened my piece of paper. In it was written the word "11."
Seeing this, I placed the paper inside my pocket as I walked toward Ash and Gary, who were arguing again with one another.
"Sigh! Stop this useless argument and tell me, what number did you both get?" I said as they both scratched their heads before telling me.
"Well, I got number 7," Gary said as he showed us his piece of paper.
"And I got number 11," Ash said as he also showed us his piece of paper. In it was written the word "11" in red and black bold colors.
"Haha! It seems we'll be on the same team," I said as I also showed them my piece of paper as Ash looked at me happily.
"Yes, we'll be on the same team," Ash said with a smile as we both left Gary alone and started to search for the third member of their small group.
