23 Chapter 23: Super Nerd Vs Izana

"Well then, let's start the battle!" I said as my Charizard came forward and looked at the Voltorb that emerged from its Pokéball.
"Voltorb! Use Thunderbolt," the Super Nerd commanded his Voltorb, which then threw Thunderbolt toward Charizard.
"Dodge, then Mega Kick!" I said as Charizard quickly dodged the incoming Thunderbolt, then its legs started to glow white as it flew toward Voltorb and kicked it using its glowing leg.
When Charizard used the move Mega Kick on Voltorb, Voltorb was thrown toward the walls inside the cave with a thud, causing the wall it collided with to crack a little.
"Voltorb! Come back!" the Super Nerd said with a nervous look before he took out Voltorb's Pokéball and recalled it as red streaks of light covered Voltorb before it disappeared.
"Go, Magnemite," the Super Nerd said as he took out a Pokéball from his Pokébelt and threw it into the air, releasing Magnemite.
"Charizard! Quick Attack, then Flamethrower," I said as Charizard used Quick Attack to get near Magnemite.
"Dodge it, Magnemite," the Super Nerd said, seeing Magnemite try to dodge it, but it couldn't due to Charizard's speed. Without giving it any time to react, Charizard breathed in and spit out a huge fire aimed at Magnemite, who was just in front of it.
Because Magnemite was a Steel-type Pokémon, Fire-type attacks were super effective against it, causing it to faint in just one moment. Even if it wasn't a Steel-type, Charizard could still knock it down in just one move.
"Noooo!" the Super Nerd said in despair as he clutched his head.
"Hey, we should give him at least a fossil; he was also the one to find it," Serena, who was watching the battle, came to me and said with pity evident on her face, seeing the Nerd guy almost on the verge of crying.
"Nah! No need, I won them from him fair and square," I said, as I had no intention of giving them back after going through so much trouble battling him.
"Sigh! Okay," she said, knowing how stubborn I was, so she gave up, and then we completely ignored the crying guy and went toward the exit.
It took a few seconds before we reached the exit of Mt. Moon.
After getting out of Mt. Moon, we both recalled our Pokémon and then headed to Cerulean City.
Cerulean City was still far away from Mt. Moon, as it took half a day for trainers to get to Cerulean City from Mt. Moon.
During our journey to reach Cerulean City, we stopped in some areas where we ate our lunch and trained our Pokémon for some time before getting back on track to reach Cerulean City.

As we were sitting under a large tree to get some rest, we heard a rustling sound from the bushes near us.
"Hm, is that a Pokémon?" I said as I reached for my Pokébelt and then took out Charizard's Pokéball and threw it into the air.
From it came streaks of red light before it formed Charizard.
And then, from the bushes, came out an Elekid, the Electric Pokémon which evolved into Electivire in its final evolution.
"Ele...kidd!" it said as it looked at Charizard.
"Grrrrrrr!" Charizard let out a battle cry.
"Haha! An Elekid! What timing! I was thinking of getting an Electric Pokémon for my gym battle in Cerulean! Who would have thought it would come to me by itself! Charizard, use Seismic Toss!" I said, not giving Elekid any chance to run as Charizard flew off at high speed toward Elekid and grabbed it before it could escape, then it flew into the air at speed.
Then it dove toward the ground, and in the middle of the air, it roughly threw Elekid to the ground with pressure as Elekid fell to the ground with a thud.
"Then, let's capture it!" I said as I reached for my Pokébelt, where I took out an empty Pokéball and then threw it toward Elekid, who was on the ground.
And as Elekid entered the Pokéball, the Pokéball mechanism started, and it began to wiggle... and Elekid got out.
"Elekiddddddd!" it growled in anger.
"Haha! You're quite strong, but I'll capture you at any cost!" I said with a smile on my face.
"Charizard! Flamethrower!" I said as Charizard sent out a large fire aimed at Elekid.
"Elekidddd!" it said as it threw out waves of thunder at the fire. Both of the attacks collided.
Both of them kept sending out fire and thunder, but neither stopped. Then Charizard let out an even larger flame at Elekid, whose Thunderbolt couldn't stop it as it hit him and he fell to the ground.
"Then let's try again!" I said as I threw out another Pokéball at it, and the Pokéball mechanism started as the Pokéball wiggled left and right.
It wiggled for some time before a ping sound came, indicating that Elekid was successfully captured.
"Yay!" I said with a happy smile as I called out Elekid, who was clearly angry toward me, but I won his heart through his stomach as I fed him a lot of Poképuffs that were for Electric-type Pokémon. After some time of... *cough, I mean, preaching about my ideals, etc., etc., Elekid finally calmed down and agreed to join my team, and then we continued making our way toward Cerulean City.

After three more hours, when it was starting to get dark, we finally reached Cerulean City.
After reaching Cerulean City, I first went to the Pokémon Center that was in the heart of Cerulean City, where Serena and I gave our Pokémon to Nurse Joy as they were also exhausted today. Then we both rented two rooms where we slept, as we were both exhausted after so much traveling.
