***

After Serena won her first badge, we both headed to the Pokémon Centre to let our Pokémon rest. Serena's Froakie was exhausted from battling Onix and Geodude, while I let my Charizard out to get some fresh air, as he enjoys flying in the sky.

Right now, I was sitting on a couch in the Pokémon Centre while Serena was talking to her mother on her phone. After some time, she ended the call and came back with a smile on her face.

"So, how did your mother react to you winning your first badge?" I asked her. Her mother initially wanted Serena to be a Rhyhorn racer.

"She said she was proud of me! And that I should continue my journey. Also, she asked how I was," she said with excitement. Her mother had previously pressured her to become a Rhyhorn racer, so hearing that her mother was proud made her happy.

"Haha, tell her next time that I'm alright! Now that we've won the Pewter City badge, let's head to the PokéMart and buy some things necessary for our journey," I said, getting up from the couch. We both left the Pokémon Centre and headed to the PokéMart.

After some time, we arrived at the PokéMart. Its exterior was a one-story building with a blue ceiling and the PokéMart logo and name in bold letters at the top.

As we entered, we were greeted by the shopkeeper behind the counter and some workers cleaning the products."Welcome, young trainers!" said the shopkeeper, who got up from his chair and greeted us with a smile.

"What would you like to buy?" he asked, rubbing his hands together in a business-like manner (just imagine Johnny since  rubbing his hands and that too in his signature blue shirt).

"We want 10 potions, 5 packets of Pokémon food for Fire and Water types, a sleeping bag, and some Repels," I said, listing all the things we needed while Serena looked around the shop with curiosity.

"Hey, look at this!" Serena exclaimed, showing me a packet of PokéPuffs edible for all types.

"Buy it too!" she said with stars shining in her eyes.

"Uh, but we just bought 5 packets of Pokémon food!" I said, not liking to buy unnecessary things and waste money.

"Please! It will be snacks for our Pokémon!" she pleaded with a cute face.

"Sigh! Okay, but only this time! You know I don't like to waste money!" I said, scratching the back of my head.

"Boss, add that too!" I said to the boss, who was looking at us with a smile that businessmen always had when their customers bought a lot of things from them.

"Okay! Adding all of that, it will be 7000 PokéDollars!" he said, beaming with a smile on his face.

Honestly, if I hadn't battled any Trainers on the way to Pewter City and the money I received from my mother when I started my journey, I wouldn't be able to pay the 7000 PokéDollars, as the Trainers I met only gave me so little money, only 90 or 120 PokéDollars.

"Please come again!" the shopkeeper said as he took the money, and we both headed out of the PokéMart and headed to Route 3.

On Route 3, we met a lot of Trainers, but we defeated them one by one.

As we were reaching the entrance to Mt. Moon, we heard a cry.

"Blessy..." When we heard it, we looked at each other and nodded before following the sound. We encountered an Arbok hissing at an injured Blissey.

"Charizard! Let's help Blissey!" I said, reaching for my PokéBelt and throwing it into the air.

"Grrrrrrrr!" Charizard shouted as soon as it emerged from the PokéBall, grabbing Arbok's attention.

"Shaaaaaaa!" It hissed at Charizard with hostility and then charged at Charizard with its teeth glowing, indicating it was using Bite.

"Charizard! Dodge it and use Seismic Toss!" I said, wanting to finish it off quickly, as I was concerned about the Blissey that was injured and bruised on the ground.

Charizard, hearing my command, nodded its head before levitating slightly and then flew towards the Arbok. Charizard easily dodged the Bite and then grabbed Arbok by its head to prevent it from poisoning or biting him. He flew higher into the air.

"Grrrrrrrr!" Charizard shouted as he flew high, almost out of sight, before diving down to the ground with speed. He threw Arbok to the ground, applying great pressure to ensure it was a one-hit KO. Arbok fainted.

"Good job! Charizard, now you can rest!" I said, recalling him to the PokéBall. Streaks of red light covered him as he disappeared into the PokéBall.

Then I went to the Blissey, who was being bandaged by Serena.

"Let's take it to the Pokémon Centre in Pewter City! I'll catch it in a PokéBall so we can get there faster; otherwise, it will be a problem to carry it," I said as Serena nodded. I took out an empty PokéBall from my PokéBelt and lightly tapped Blissey's forehead with it. Red light emitted from the PokéBall and it wiggled a little before a ping sound came, indicating the capturing process was successful.

Honestly, it wouldn't have been so easy to capture a blessey but since she was so heavily injured and was in an unconscious state, it was possible and that too, so easy.

And then we both ran to the Pokémon Centre in Pewter City.It took us about an hour to reach the Pokémon Centre, and when we arrived, we hurriedly went inside.

"Nurse Joy! It's an emergency! Please help!" I said to the running Nurse Joy, who came towards us. I called Blissey out from the PokéBall, still unconscious.

"Okay! Leave it to me!" she said, assuring me. Then a Chansey came with a stretcher as Nurse Joy and Chansey lifted Blissey onto it and took her to the emergency room. We waited for the operation to be completed as we sat on the couch.
