6 6 Basara's Childhood Friends, And A Talk With A Goddess

<Third pov>

"Hey Kurumi, when do you think will Basara be back?" The light blue-haired girl asked her sister.

"Basara? Didn't he just leave a few hours ago?" Kurumi stated.

"Yuki, aren't you like, too close to Basara?" The blonde-haired girl said while washing her hair.

"Aren't you doing the same thing to Celia?" Yuki tilted her head.

"What!? No, I'm not like you!" She denied it while blushing heavily.

"Look you're blushing." Yuki pointed at her bright red face.

"Ah! It's just hot here you know!"

"Right." Yuki and Kurumi said simultaneously, embarrassing Celis even more.

It wasn't long before the trio heard a murmur coming from the forest. Which made them alert.

"Who's there!" Celis screamed as the three of them picked their towels to cover up.

"Basara. I heard a quote from the saying: "Doing exactly as we like, it's the true meaning of pleasure. As it leads to joy and eventually into happiness" Don't you also agree as well? Why should we restrict ourselves from doing something that makes us happy?" Otto stated as he and Basara came out from the forest.

"AAAAHHHH!" Kurumi who hadn't fully covered herself up with the towel, screamed seeing the two boys.

"I'm SORRYYY-!" Basara shouted while covering his eyes.

"YOU PERVERTS!!" Kurumi raised her arm and fired a small torrent of water at the two boys.

Otto just slapped away the water like it was nothing.

"You three are overreacting. Besides what's there to even see?" I shrugged at their petite bodies.

"YOU! Basara is the only one who's allowed to look at me like this!" Yuki summoned her sword and rushed towards Otto's direction.

"Hm?" Otto just stood there as Yuki was about to cut his head.

"You should stop this childish tantrum," Otto said seriously, before realizing what he had just said.

"Oh wait. You are one." He said as he caught Yuki's blade with his one hand.

"Wha-?" Yuki was surprised as she was suddenly knocked down to the water by Otto's bizarre martial arts he learned from the internet.

"Yuki!" Celis screamed in worry as she and Kurumi summoned their weapons to attack Otto.

"PLEASE STOP THIS!!" Basara shouted as all his friends were fighting with each other.

"IT'S MY FAULT, NOT HIS!" He took the blame himself instead of Otto, making the two stop. Not like he wants to take the blame in the first place.

"Ah... Now my clothes are wet. My socks became wet as well, ugh disgusting." Otto sighed, as it bothered him.

....

<Otto pov>

The three introduced themselves to Otto after Basara calmed them down.

"So. Who are you? We haven't seen you before." The three of them looked at me suspiciously with good reasons of course.

"He's Uncle Bismarck's son. Otto Apocalypse." Basara introduced me as I was busy drying my clothes.

"He's has a son!?" The three of them gasped.

"No. He adopted the great me." I am a Buddha.

"Right, you seem to be proud of it," Yuki said as she sat closer to Basara.

"Mr. Bismarck seems to spoil you too much..." Celis said as she looked at my clothes.

"No, I'm not, I'm merely doing what I find natural for me." I dismissed her statement.

"From the way you act, you are one though," Kurumi said as her sister supported it.

"Tsk. You're just jealous that I'm free." I wasn't sure if Shakyamuni said the free-from-fate thing was true but I'll believe him for now. Not until I confirmed it myself somehow.

"Free?" The three of them looked at me confusingly as though I was strange.

"No one can stop me. Not even the old man." That was true I could've just refused him coming here. But something told me to follow his instructions. Like it's leading me to something good.

"Hmph, anddd- why did you peek at us bathing!?" Yuki glared. "I know fully well Basara isn't someone to peek at others. So you must've been the one who dragged him into this."

"Yuk-." Basara tried talking to take the blame.

"Yes, I am! indeed the one who dragged him into this," I stated proudly while giving a thumbs up.

"Then-"

"So what? What is there to even see? It's no use crying over spilled milk." I shrugged.

"You.... How could you say that to a lady!" Celis said as she saw Yuki about to cry.

"Lady? Oh please~ you three are currently little girls in my eyes. besides, you three are flat as a board." I stated while fixing my beautiful hair.

"I think he's gay," Kurumi made a childish name-calling looking at my appearance, making Yuki and Celis who were mad earlier, laugh a little.

"Tsk. You three are just jealous that a man can be this beautiful." I said smugly.

I wasn't gay or some sort. After reincarnating to this world it seems like I have developed a sense of beauty and elegance from being rich. Money is good~ it can fix any kind of problem given enough of it. However, there are some that money can't solve, like having power or authority over something big.

"Yeah right. Come on Basara let's leave him alone in the woods." Yuki pouted as the four of them finally left me alone.

*sigh*

"Those children are so annoying," I muttered as I went deeper into the forest.

It was still noon, so it wasn't a problem in case I got lost. That would be stupid.

I wandered around finding cool places where I could hang out alone in the next 2 years in this hell hole. Otherwise, I might just ditch this village altogether to find something fun in Japan. After all, it's an anime world, and Japan is the country where all the supernatural shit revolves around.

"Ooooo~ this spot looks good." I went to the spot.

In the spot, I could see a great view of the mountains and the village in the distance.

I sat at the stone in a mediating position, as I tried to feel everything around me and tried to become one with nature.

It went on for 3 hours as sparrows started to gather around me like I was a tree.

"What are you doing here, Miss Chisato?" I stated softly like my first encounter with Shakyamuni.

"Just who are you?" She asked.

She had been watching all my movements the moment I departed from Jin and Bismarck. It seems like she regarded me as some kind of a spy, to get inside the hero's tribe.

"Answer me this. Instant." She started to threaten me by revealing some of her aura.

It was intimidating at the first second, but I somehow managed to withstand it without flinching.

"Wouldn't it be wise to introduce yourself first?" I asked politely.

"Very well, I am Chisato Hasegawa a school nurse at Hijirigasaka Academy. Now it's your turn to introduce." She pointed at me. Who was still in a lotus position?

"You missed a lot of things in your brief introduction... No matter. Since I'm feeling generous this time around, I'll fully introduce myself." I stated as she looked at me with confusion as I knew her identity as a divine being of sorts.

"My name is Otto Apocalypse. I'm currently 10 years old. My house is on Schloss Eberstein, where the castles are, I am not married obviously, I am currently unemployed. I don't smoke or drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed. So I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I haven't gone to the doctor yet to have my check up so I presume I'm healthy-" She cut me off.

"Okay okay, that's too long. And irrelevant." She said in slight frustration, as I was giving her my personal information.

"*sigh* I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning or losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. And that's how I deal with my everyday life and I know that this is what brings me happiness-" She once again tried to cut me off mid-sentence.

"Just tell me who and what the hell are yo-" Just before he could finish her sentence I was already in front of her, with Murasame centimeters off in her neck.

"*sigh* Although, if I were to fight... I wouldn't lose to anyone. It's rude to interrupt people mid-sentence goddess-sama." I threatened her, she knew that once the sword cut her it could prove to be a big trouble to recover. And would probably lead to her end.

"How did you know, that I was from the God tribe? Did someone send you?" She gulped at the katana in her neck.

"No, I didn't know where you come from. You might be from Olympus, Norse, Hindu, Shinto, Aztec, Egyptian, or something, I do not care in the slightest. But what I do know, and found out is that you're in fact, a god." I explained, wasn't sure if she belonged to the mentioned pantheons that I could think of.

"How can you even sense it? I'm sure I suppressed it well enough to walk amongst humans." She looked down at her hands.

"It's because you give this peculiar vibe when I'm around you. It's different from any other people that I've met so far... Similar to Shakyamuni..." I muttered the last part.

"Shakyamuni? Buddha?" She looked confused.

"What do you mean similar to Buddha? Surely you're not telling me you've met him are you?"

"I did, Miss Chisato," I said as I lowered my weapon and found a spot to sit.

"It's impossible for a mortal like you to meet someone who's already outside in this world..." She denied it. Though not as aggressive as before.

"With my capabilities, I'm sure enough I can fight you, Miss Chisato. Does that still mean I'm mortal?" I gave her a playful smile and of course, I wasn't sure if I could beat her in a real fight since I'm not sure about her capabilities.

"..."

"The reason is that I'm also a Buddha," I said seriously to her, who made a dumbfounded expression.

"Yeah, right. If you want to make up a lie, at least make it believable." She stated giggling at my revelation.

"It's up to you to decide what you believe Miss Chisato. After all, you have the free will to just ignore my words." I said while leaving her, who still didn't believe my words.

"I have one last question. Just to clarify." She called out to me, as I looked back.

"Are you an enemy?" She questioned.

"*sigh* Miss Chisato. If you or the village were my enemy everyone would've been dead in the ground already. And besides currently, I have no enemies." I smiled, as I headed back to the village.

.....

<Chisato pov>

Otto Apocalypse... A kid with unknown origins aside, from being the adoptive son of Sir Bismarck who contributed a lot during the great war against the demons and devils, like Jin Toujou, Basara's father.

And what was that strange sword that he just used? Did he already manifest a sacred gear or a device? That katana certainly frightened me to my very core as my instincts told me not to move... Did my skills degrade after that incident with my older cousin? I didn't even notice him move towards me.

He mentioned meeting Shakyamuni. That its hard to believe, that even most of the gods couldn't even get close to his domain unless they were someone who had reached enlightenment which is a state only the pure ones can achieve, not even the gods who are considered by the mortals pure could enter... The way he acts doesn't look like someone who has reached nirvana. So it should be impossible for him to be a Buddha as he claimed to be one... Right?

And he doesn't have enemies... I doubt he doesn't have enemies. Most likely, the way he normally acts around people, already made some of them his enemy. *sigh*
