When they woke up the next morning, Ēborisk asked one question.

'Are you sure he was lying, partner? There is no way to prove it.'

'I'm about to find out. First, I'll cast a spell that will make up invisible to any kind of sight, then I'm going to try something new.' was all I replied before I sat down.

First, I cast my own temporary version of the Fidelius charm, completely hiding us. Second, I cast a spell never before tried or thought of.

"Gerðu geðrannsóknir mínar ógreinanlegar og óáþreifanlegar (Make my mental probes undetectable and intangible)." I cast quietly.

'Alright partner, I'm going to try and touch your mind. Block it and tell me if you can feel anything.' I said before reaching for his mind.

After entering his mind, I heard everything he was thinking.

'When is he going to start? It's already been fifteen seconds. Maybe he succeeded in another new spell...Partner? Are you here?' Ēborisk asked uncertainly.

'Yes.' I replied but received no answer.

After receiving no response, Ēborisk started to feel doubt before I answered aloud.

"Yes. Even my mental responses are 'undetectable' under this spell." I answered.

'Amazing as always partner.' Ēborisk responded with pride.

"Alright. Time for me to check on the tyrant." I said before whispering another spell.

"Flyttu allar hugsanir sem ég er að njósna um til allra álfa í Alagaesíu (Transfer all thoughts that I'm spying on to every Elf in Alagaesia)."

Five minutes later I found the mind of Galbatorix, but he wasn't alone.

[

"That damn Rider thinks he can actually make me give up my power. Haha. When we reach Ellesmera, I will wipe the Elves from this world. And I will finally be the uncontested King! But first...I must make you, my Rider and Razac, invisible, soundless and undetectable. As soon as we enter the Wards of Ellesmera, kill anything that moves. But the royal family and the tree are mine." Galbatorix commanded.

]

"That's all I needed." I said as I stood up to mount Ēborisk.

'What?' he asked, uncertain if I could hear him.

"He lied. I'm going to end this with four spells. Let's go, the closer we are, the less energy I'll need from you." I said.

...

Arriving at Uru'baen, we landed atop the giant stone ceiling, still undetectable.

"Verndaðu eggið og Eldunara inni. Klipptu allar tengingar við Eldunari með því að setja þær í einstakar vasamál. Verndaðu unga reiðmanninn og drekann hennar. Hrun þakið sem ég stend á (Protect the egg and Eldunari inside. Cut any connections to the Eldunari by putting them into individual pocket dimensions. Protect the young Rider and her Dragon. Collapse the roof upon which I stand)!"

Seconds later, the roof turned into large pieces of rubble that seemed to have been broken apart so they could fill the interior of the system within. All anyone could hear was a rumbling roar before everything went silent.

"If that worked, it was very anticlimactic." I said.

'If that worked, I will be very disappointed that we spent so many years training for nothing!' Ēborisk replied.

"I can still sense Galbatorix, but his strength is draining fast. If my spells worked then he doesn't have access to the Eldunari. So..." I started to say before a portion of the rubble sunk further into the ground. "Oh...never mind! He's dead."

'That's great! But I'm sensing a darkness that is very familiar to the south east.....there is a Shade in the making...a strong one! Nineteen? No, twenty! Twenty people are turning into a single Shade. Quickly get the egg, Eldunari and the broken young lady and her Dragon out. We must go end this threat!' Ēborisk said, panicking.

...

As soon as the tower we felt the dark energy coming from came into sight, we also saw Arya and Eragon entering the tower door.

"Looks like I'm going to have to leave the guarding of the door to you old friend." I said.

'Gladly. Just be safe and end this threat. Durza was a Shade of three. Twenty has never been done before. It could very well be a threat to even Galbatorix!' Ēborisk said.

"Worry not. He was only a threat with the Eldunari. Alone he was weaker than Durza. I won't be careless." I said before running through the tower door.

Making my way up the stairs, I realized Eragon and Arya killed everyone, leaving my path clear to the top.

Entering the door on the top floor, I realized just how bad this was going to be. Twenty five sacrifices to make a single Shade. But Eragon and Arya only managed to kill two by the time I entered the room. This prompted me to start breaking the shield around my own target.

"Stop staring! Kill as many as you can before the ritual is complete!" I yelled at the two Riders that were frozen in shock at my arrival.

It took roughly ten seconds for me to break the first shield with my enhanced strength.

By the time the ritual was complete, we managed to kill fifteen of the fools.

All of a sudden, the last ten sacrifices dropped dead as their souls entered the person chanting in the center.

As soon as the ritual was completed, the new Shade opened his eyes to stare at us curiously.

"Hello there! My name is Varaug. Are you here to entertain me?" he asked.

"If by entertain you mean kill, then yes!" was all I said as I walked towards the strongest Shade in history.
