6 CH - 5 - Flowers For Your Grave Part - Four.

"What do you mean he is lying?"

"Come on Castle. I get him knowing where he was on the night of his sister's murder but for the other two victims, he didn't pause... he didn't ask for dates, he didn't even check his calendar but he was ready with an alibi and in my experience, innocent people do not prepare alibis."

"So I right," says Castle happy that he was right, to which Beckett scoffs.

[19th Precinct]

We see Castle and Det. Esposito standing while they wait for Det. Kevin Ryan who is on the call with the credit card company getting the purchase details of one Mr. Harrison Trisdale with Beckett sitting beside him.

Castle asks "Why can't you admit that I was right?" looking at Beckett.

"Because he totally fooled you" then looking at Esposito she says "He totally bought the alibi" to which Esposito nods and says "Yeah you totally did" looking at Castle

Castle replies "I had a fleeting moment of self-doubt" at which point Ryan cuts the call seeing this Beckett asks him "So??"

"His credit card company confirms he paid for three round trip tickets, the dates coincide with the three murders," he says

"So according to his credit card, Tisdale was out of the country," says Esposito

"So wait a minute now I am not right?" Castle asks

But Beckett quickly says "Which means the passport stamps were forged" hearing this Esposito says "I am gonna call the Passport control and have them check the logs" and walks to his desk to make the call but right the Castle interrupts and says

"That's... not how he would have done it" in a slightly smug tone which stops everyone in their tracks with Beckett asking him "You got a better idea...Ricky..."

"Second passport..."

"And how would he get one of those??"

"Ohh... with his money, trust me the black market would be a piece of cake."

"So he leaves the country on his own comes with the other passport commits murder flies out... and then comes back in on his own passport "

"Perfect alibi, perfect murder"

"But almost impossible to prove"

"Unless you find the second passport"

Ryan chimes in with "He has got to be freaked after your meet and greet"

To which Beckett says "Keep eyeballs on him, if he moves I wanna know."

Then both Beckett and Castle leave to get a search warrant signed by a Judge.

[Outside some unnamed Ney York city apartment building]

A taxi pulls up outside an apartment building. The Doorman opens the door for Harrison Tisdale and says "Home early, Mr. Tisdale." which Tisdale ignores and walks into the building and then into his apartment where he opens a drawer and takes out a box inside which is a passport, a few files, and a gun. He takes them all out and starts shredding the files and passport.

[A few minutes earlier, Outside the building]

Beckett and Castle reach the scene with the signed search warrant and meet with Ryan, Esposito, and a few other uniforms where Esposito briefs the situation to Beckett. Beckett sees they will have to go in armed so turns to Castle and says "Castle if you are going in you should be armed, my backup is in the glove compartment "

Castle hearing this runs back into the car, opens the glove compartment, and pokes a hand in it but doesn't find anything so he says "I can't find it. It's .....". As he does, Beckett grabs his wrist and handcuffs him to the grab handle above the car door, and smiles at him while saying "This time you're staying put."

"OK. Very funny. C'mon Kate! joke's over! Kate!" but they don't turn back and instead have a laugh at his expense.

Seeing them leave Castle looks at his cuffed hand, and then slides his other hand into his pocket and pulls out his wallet while saying "Cuff me once, shame on you. Cuff me twice..." He opens his wallet and runs his fingers inside it looking for something after a bit of fishing around in his wallet he pulls out a Handcuff Key looks at it and finishes "... Shame on me."

But the key slips and with one hand cuffed to the grab handle he can't catch it. It hits the ground. He goes to pick it up, but his hand can't reach the ground, just when he was going to try something he hears "I see you are having a rather... interesting day father." as he sees his son look at him then at the key lying on the ground.

"Noah what are you doing... Never mind pick that key up for me will you?" just as he says that he hears a sound and looks toward it and sees a man running down the fire escape seeing this Castle says to Noah "Hurry up " to which Noah responds by quickly picking up the key and uncuffing Castle.

Castle sees the man, Harrison Tisdale running to the back alley to make his escape and seeing this says to Noah "Stay here"

and then calls Beckett and says "He is coming down the fire escape" and runs after him. While he runs after him he hears Beckett yell "Stop police don't move" but Harrison ignores it and runs to the Back alley.

Beckett seeing Castle run after Harrison yells at him saying "Castle nooo..." and quickly runs down the fire escape and hears Castle yell back "I got him! I got'em" and runs behind Harrison and turn a corner.

Beckett then runs behind them and as she rounds the corner where she saw them disappear too with her gun drawn to find Harrison using CASTLE as a shield, holding a gun to his temple. Castle's a tad sheepish and says "Whoops"

"Stay back!" says Harrison pointing his gun at Castle and backs away, pulling Castle with him.

"Don't be stupid. There's nowhere to go" Beckett says.

"I said stay back." threatens Harrison but Beckett keeps her gun pointed at him and asks Castle "Castle, you okay?"

"Fine, except psycho here needs a breath mint."

To which Harrison says "Shut up or I will blow your head off"

"Hey, hey easy. You know what's bugging me, Harrison, if you were that deep in need of money why didn't you ask your father for it?"

"Castle, you're not helping."

But Castle continues "You know what I think, I think you did ask, I think you asked and he said no, I think he always said no. A self-made man like that, I bet he thought you were weak for asking"

Harrison finally takes the bait and says "He is the one who was weak, I was trying to make something of my life and all he cared about was HER (his sister Allison) " just as he says that he hears another voice say "So that's why you killed her, to take the one person you thought was most precious to him, your sister" hearing this Harrison points his gun at the voice, which belonged to Noah.

Seeing Noah, Castle says "I thought I told you to stay near the Car?"

"She told you that too remember also dad stop milking the situation would ya ?"

Hearing this Castle says "You noticed " smiles and elbows, Harrison, on the nose, and snatches the gun away as Harrison falls down and yells in euphoria "Tell me you guys saw that"

Both Beckett and Noah ignore him and Beckett quickly runs to Harrison pulls his arms behind his back and asks Castle "Can I see the cuffs please?"

"Oh wait a minute " as Castle removes the cuffs and hands them to her and she cuffs Harrison with it then turns to Castle and shoves him to the wall and yells "What were you guys thinking?. You could have gotten yourself killed." as she glared at both Castle and Noah but they both laugh which confuses her but Castle clears it by saying "The safety was on the whole time"

Hearing that she looks at the gun lying on the ground to confirm and says "You know... you could have told me" and sighs in relief.

But then she looks at Noah and asks "And what is your excuse?"

"The story...maybe...?" to which Beckett just sighs in an 'I am done with this shit' kind of tone and says "Of course it is. Of course."

And takes Harrison to the other Uniforms so that they can take him to the station for processing. Castle and Noah follow her quietly

The father-son duo watch on from a distance as Beckett hands Harrison over to the Uniforms for transport and orders Ryan and Esposito to sweep the apartment for more evidence. After she is done with all that she walks toward the father-son duo.

Seeing Beckett coming towards him Castle smiles and straightens himself up.

Beckett now standing in front of them says "Don't mess with other people's stuff kid" hands Noah the Note and continues "But.. Thanks for the tip." and smiles at him.

Noah in reply says "You are welcome, ma'am" with a smile.

Beckett then turns to Castle and says "Well... guess this is it"

"It doesn't have to be.. we could... go to dinner, debrief each other" with a charming smile on his face.

"Why Castle so that I could be another one of your conquests"

"Or I could be one of yours"

(looking at each other for a second)

Noah beside them stood quietly wondering 'Do they not see me standing here... so this what it feels like to be a Third wheel' and smiling at their interaction.

Then Beckett breaking eye contact says "It was nice to meet you, Castle" and offers him a handshake which Castle accepts and says smiling in defeat "It's too bad... it would have been great."

Hearing this Kate bites her lower lip, leans into Castle, and whispers to his ear "You have.. no idea" looks to the side at Noah winks at him saying "Bye kid" turns around, and walks to the uniforms. Leaving a dumbfounded father and son behind.

Castle was looking at Kate as she walks away with amazement and a tinge of 'What could have been' when he hears his son beside him say "Dad"

"Yeah kiddo"

"I think I just had my first crush"

"Is that so kid??"

"Yeah Dad"

"Well then suggest you wait in line," They said all this without taking their eyes off Kate.

Then finally Noah and Castle gather themselves turn around and walk back home.

While walking Castle asks "What should we have for dinner?"

"I don't know. What were you thinking"

"I was thinking Cheese Burgers"

"I know a new place that just opened"

"Lead the way son"

"You got it, Old man"

.

"Ohh I totally forgot to tell you Dad, I finished it"

"Really what's the title??"
