4 Waking up 3

(updated and edited)

As soon as he heard the sound of the door opening, Alaukik turned towards it while his body kept trembling constantly. In fact, when nobody was paying attention, he had stopped laying on the air and was standing on the floor.

"Hello. I'm assuming you were the one who talked to me. You took more than 2 minutes, in fact, you took exactly 3 minutes and 30 seconds.... don't ask me how I know that, I don't know that myself....I guess I'm just hyper aware of time."

"Ok... First of all Let me introduce myself, my name is Asha Chandrashekar. I am a researcher at Hyderabad University. Why don't we sit and talk?" she responded, trying to sound jovial.

"Sure, now , I have quite a few questions. What happened to my eyes? Where am I? How did I come here? Why was I tied to the bed?" questioned Alaukik back to back.

"Very well. Well, it's a long story, so why don't you relax, child? Would you like something to eat? I'm sure you must be hungry right?" Asha said as she looked at Alaukik with pity in her eyes.

"To be honest, I can't really care about food right now. What I want right now is to know why I can't see, and the way to fix this. All I see is darkness, which you wouldn't understand. You can't understand: can you see my body? I can barely control it right now, the only reason being that you helped me calm down just now. However, I can feel that this state won't last long. So just answer the questions please," retorted Alaukik.

"Fine dear child. The reason you can't see, the reason is because you don't have eyes. You were never born with them. I'm sorry… however, I have an idea as to how you might be able to see-"

"What is it? Please, tell me why*," Alaukik said as he looked in the direction of Asha's voice.

"Stop, stop. You don't have to plead with me, child."

"In fact, I should be the one apologizing to you and asking for your forgiveness," she said under her breath

"We have found out that you can control space. So, if you could try to sense the space around you, that could act as a substitute for your eyes. Or, you could try sending ripples through space and then based on the ones that come back, you could 'see' your surroundings."

"So, like echolocation?" said Alaukik, as he immediately ignored the first option, because he was not in the state where he could 'sense' his surroundings.

"Indeed, like echolocation," replied a surprised Asha. In fact, this entire conversation has been very surprising for both her and the others in the room. After all, 001 is supposed to have been trapped in the room for nearly all his life, and nobody had ever taught him anything, so the fact that he could speak and even know basic science was a huge surprise.

As soon as the lady confirmed it, Alaukik immediately tried to do it. In fact, he could already feel that he could control some .. thing that was all around him. And ss soon as he thought of what he wanted to do, the little particles he felt quickly rushed towards his head and then suddenly, he could feel ripples in space that started from him and went in all directions. And in less than a second, he could feel the 'echoes' of those ripples. In his mind, the world around him started to take shape. Around him, the broken machines and the torn bed, three walls and something with what seemed like cracks on it. And in front of him was the lady. However, immediately, Alaukik noticed some faults with this method. First was that he couldn't see any color. And he also couldn't differentiate between two things that were on the same level. For example, he could see that outline of the clothes the lady, or Ms. Asha was wearing, but he couldn't see any designs on it, if there were any. And yet, Alaukik was so happy with just being able to see that he instantly calmed down. And as he did, he realized that he was in deep trouble…
