71 The End
A/N:
The end of Vol 2 guys, not the novel. Don't panic so quickly.
Standing inside of the airport with a suitcase beside him, Alaukik looked around the area, noticing the scarce amount of people here.
Well, this was to be expected, after all, his action of massacring the GAU soldiers continued to have a huge influence on the Federation's foreign relations. Many countries around the world revoked the visas of Federanians, while also cancelling flights to and from the Federation, causing massive losses to Federations aviation companies and the public who had previously booked international flights.
Of course, none of this mattered to Alaukik, who was going to board a private plane that would take him all the way to his destination in the USNA.
Suddenly, a lady walked out of the women's restroom behind him and made her way towards Alaukik. Without turning to face her, Alaukik asked,
"What about Divya?"
"It's going to be her first time in a plane, so she was quite nervous. I've calmed her down for now, but make sure to take care of her during the flight and even after you reach there okay?" said the lady, hugging Alaukik from behind.
Sighing, Alaukik replied,
"I know aunty, you've reminded me nearly a hundred times in the past two days itself. But are you sure bringing Divya is a good idea? She hasn't even settled down here, so bringing her with me to the USNA would be a bit too much for her wouldn't it?"
Letting go of Alaukik and smiling, Asha replied,
"And you've raised this question a hundred times too Alaukik. Yes, you have to bring Divya along with you. First of all, I want her to attend a school too, so she can get to experience a normal life. Secondly, although that girl has now come to accept you, we both know that she'll go back to her old self without you or me with her. And since I can't come with her to school here in Hyderabad, that means that she has to go with you. And as for settling in, I doubt she can be comfortable living in a city where she was nearly killed. So once again, yes, Divya will have to come with you. And this is good for you too, okay? You need friends your age, and if something happens to you, Divya will be able to help you. And also-"
"Fine, fine," replied Alaukik, an exasperated expression on his face.
"And just to be clear, she didn't nearly die in that fight, okay? I made sure she was safe in the centre the entire time."
As Alaukik finished speaking, Divya slowly wobbled out of the bathroom. Walking towards her, Asha helped her walk properly, and the trio slowly made their way towards the plane waiting for them.
On the other hand, while Alaukik and Divya were enjoying life, the RC were not. Hriday had been quickly promoted to replace Jamshed, while a temporary member was elected to replace Uday. Once these two matters were settled, the RC quickly started to contact various foreign ministers and leaders, trying to fix their relationship with the countries around the world. They also had to calm down the countless people who's foreign trips had been cancelled. And as this happened, Asha had informed them of Alaukik's decision to go and study in the USNA. Initially, this decision was rejected instantly, and the RC wanted Alaukik to stay and become a strategic magician for the Federation. They couldn't have the cause of this mess simply leave the Federation, that would be an insult to all of them!
Well, that was until Alaukik went to each major member and had a little talk with them. The next day, his departure was instantly accepted and all necessary documents for him and Divya were prepared and sent over. After that, it was only a matter of booking a private plane and waiting for a day with clear weather. Well, there was also the matter of discussing this with the officials of USNA, but that was no longer Alaukik's concern.
And so, barely a week after ruining the RC, Alaukik and Divya were now sitting in their flight, on their way to a completely new land - one hoping to find out the source of his problems, the other hoping to finally experience a normal life.
