Gojo wasn't my dad.

Apparently he was taking care of me because of his sister who had moved over to America leaving me with him.

A pretty shitty thing to do if I was being honest.

Learning cursed energy wasn't to difficult either and trying to learn it in secret was impossible since Gojo could sense whenever I was using my cursed energy.

But rather than stopping me he decided to help me instead and thanks to his tutelage within the 8 years of learning with him I had full control of my cursed energy and was even able to sense when a cursed spirit would appear even before it existed.

An ability Gojo didn't seem to have, and though my cursed energy was already quite high I was still refrained from fighting any of the cursed spirits.

Rather I helped Gojo locate them and he would exorcise them.

It made sense to be fair afterall I doubt he wanted a 13 year old boy actively Killing cursed spirits.

"Gojo-San ill be going now!" I yelled to the man to which he did the same back. Gojo did have a soft spot when it came to me.

School was as boring as ever relearning the basic subjects the only subject I truly had to pay attention on was when it came down to learning kanji one I spent hours an hours into practice on.

Class soon came to an end and I finally stretched my body stiff from all the work I'd been doing. "Akito what are you up to" the voice of a classmate caught my attention.

He walked towards my desk leaning forwards to examine what on earth I was up to to be so tired, and the simple truth...

I was molding my jujutsu energy to see if I could get anything out of it and when I had managed to get some response to my jujutsu energy that was when I had laxened myself.

"not much," I said standing from my chair the boy looked dissatisfied with my answer. "wanna hang out later then?" he asked pointing towards the group behind him.

I looked down towards my books as I packed them up contemplating my answer I sighed giving in. "sure" was all I said.

He looked towards the others with a smirk giving the thumbs up to the others only leaving me with a confused expression.

"Kiyoko tatsumoto" the girl introduced herself white hair and grey eyes she seemed to prefare to keep to herself though.

"tanaka Haruki" one of the boys introduced blonde hair and yellow eyes he was pretty loud in class and was always managed to get the classes attention.

"Yuta Yamamoto" another said confidently messy brown hair and light brown eyes second smartest person by rankings after me.

"Wakabe Mei" a girl said confidently pointing to herself messy short black hair and blue eyes similar to mine.

"and I'm Sota Nakamura" the last boy introduced himself brown hair and red eyes.

I looked over to each of them and I did recognise them. Sort of. "can't believe you don't even know your classmates own names" Sota said arms crossed in disappointment he was the one who had in fact invited me over. "I just never really paid to much attention" I said quickly in defense.

Tanaka scoffed at my excuse. "still...!" Yuta said at the fact I didn't know their names. I only chuckled at this.

I turned my head towards the two girls who seemed to be whispering to each other. Kiyoko caught my gaze quickly turning away only for a wide smirk to appear in Wakabes face in reaction to it.

What the hell is going on...

I turned over to Sota "where are we even going?" I questioned my eyes examined the houses we passed by.

"there's an abandoned building nearby we're gonna go check things out there!" the girl known as Wakabe said excitedly. "abandoned?" I repeated turning towards the building that now came into view.

My eyes now focused on it I could tell just from where I was stood at it was crawling with cursed spirits but none that could hurt the people that I was with.

"What...? Don't tell me you're scareeeeddd!" Tanaka poked fun. I turned to him pointing towards the building "going into an abandoned building that was definitely closed down for a reason sounds like a great idea" I said voicing my concerns which in turn only led to more teasing.

"come onn it'll be fun~" Yuta quickly interjected putting his arm around my head as he pulled me into a noogie.

I only sighed as long as we stated near each other I could discreetly exorcise any cursed spirits that remained around them.

As we entered the building the amount of cursed spirits that I could see was incredibly high.

All of them seemed to be ridiculously low risk spirits that wouldn't cause any trouble only simple aches here and there.

I turned over to Sota and the others who had smiles of excitement plastered all over their faces. "Nakamura-san" Wakabe quickly said garnering the boys attention.

"let's split up into groups!" the girl said excitedly which quickly got my attention. If we split up then on the off chance something bad did happen I wouldn't be there to help.

Seems like a shitty plot off a horror movie was the first thought that came to mind.

"Wait hold on--" I began speaking but was quickly cut off by Sota. "Yea let's do that" he nodded in agreement.

"Kiyoko can group up with Gojo-San, I'll group up with Wakabe and Yuta and Haruki can group up" he said with a sly smile. The other two seem to catch on to whatever they were plotting. "hold on a sec guys!" the white haired girl seemed to object at the idea.

"too late!" the others said running off. As I was now I could only sense when a dangerous cursed spirit would appear 2 minutes prior to their appearance so considering I wasn't sensing anything they should be alright regardless.

"as long as they don't do anything stupid" I said not realising I had said it out loud. "huh?" Kiyoko said confused at my words.

"nothing" I quickly responded.

An awkward silence took over as we caught each others gaze her grey orbs staring into mine before she quickly turned away again. "a-anyways we should probably get going" she said quickly as she moved further into the building.

"do you know what's going on?" I asked my gaze not leaving her. She turned to me embarrassment written allover her face. "never mind you don't have to answer" I said quickly walking up to her.

"but since the others ditched us..." I said a smile growing in my face. "how about we pay them back!" she seemed confused at my answer. I grabbed her hands running into the building.

"we won't be outdone by them!" I said with a smile.
