Testing Waters

"I'm Still in the process of fully contemplating what is in front of me 

A Divine Artifact."

I thought of trying out this Artifact to see how it works

I opened the book, took a pen and sat on the table

" I only have 1 fate points what can i even ask"

I looked at the empty page in front of me as it looks just like a normal book

"well there's only one question i can ask, Hopefully it is within 1 Fate points"

I lifted the pen and Started writing my question on the page

"What is my name?"

just as i finished my question and i waited a moment the Artifact Pop up screen came 

it read-

The question will cost 1 Fate Point.

Yes/No

I accepted the charge of My Sole Fate Point.

just as i Click yes the ink on the paper started getting absorbed by the book until the page was completely blank again.

Then the answer was then revealed like the book the writing itself in its pages

it read-

"Your Name is Evan Rodrim"

Then after a couple minutes the answer disappeared in the book again

the whole question answer scenario reminded me of that one book in that one movie series from my home world.

"So Even the book didn't include my father's name next to my name

I guess it knows that My father has severed all ties with me"

Ah yes i forgot to tell Evan was Removed from his household and his father said that he is no longer his son.

the reason for this banishment was that The Rodrims were all Talented Geniuses and powerhouses

There was a Kind of Tournament in the Rodrim Family for the Crown of Head.

For reasons Unknown Evan decided to tell his father that he didnt want to participate in the tournament and then proceeded to laze around spending his fathers money.

His Father was Furious and thought his son was not being responsible as a Rodrim.

And even More so Furious because his son was a prodigy and he thought that his son can prove a valuable asset against the Specters.

The reason as to why he didnt participate was not mentioned even in the novel

"well Probably he was just a lazy asshole and didnt want that hardwork"

Then After for some time ignoring his son he finally decided to sever ties with him and send him here At The Imperial Court Academy.

And here we are...

"Anyways now i know that the books works and how it works

All thats left is to collect Fate points"

well i cant come in contact with any of my classmates till the academy starts

i can however meet Alicia after all she is my neighbour.

" I wonder why is my fate intertwined with her the most

is this the reason why she always meet me in the hallway 'accidentaly'

well i can try to test that anytime all i have to do is go out my room

so I did the same i took my jacket and phone and proceeded to go out

"one two three"

i opened the door to find nobody outside 

i decide to wait outside a little bit to no avail

" well i guess thats not how fate works"

anyways its getting late i should probably head inside and go to sleep

" well i will Ask Alicia tomorrow"

i was about to open my door again then suddenly i heard

"What are you going to ask me tommorow?"

my heart skipped a beat

"my God what the fuck Alicia why are you sneaking on people like that"

"i didn't sneak upon you, you just didnt notice me"

"thats the same thing, you freaking cat"

she decided to ignore my remark and asked again

"What are you going to ask me tomorrow"

 "ah yes i was thinking maybe we could go to the library again tomorrow i have somethings i want to know but i dont know the book names"

"Why dont you ask your Mysterious Librarian"

"Its not funny Alicia he was there i swear"

"Whatever you say Rodrim"

"So will you come?"

she didnt reply for some time then said

"i was going anyway tomorrow i do not have a problem if you come however you must not disturb me while i read"

"okay thats great it's a date then"

she looked at me with eyes that pierce through me and i sense a hint of bloodlust in them

"no i mean not a date thats not what i meant"

she just decided to ignore my existence and went on her way 

"huh i messed up, well hopefully she doesnt ignore me tomorrow"

I decided to go to my room and sleep

it was a hectic day
