5 chapter 5

(A/n: ehe)

Suddenly, before Shido left, Aria's stomach growled loudly.

*Growl*

She tried to hide it by pretending she didn't hear anything, but Shido noticed.

"Are you hungry?" he asked, his eyes full of concern.

Aria blushed and shook her head. "No, I'm not hungry," she said, avoiding eye contact with him.

Shido raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure? It sounded like your stomach disagreed with you."

Aria's face grew even redder. She didn't want to admit that she hadn't eaten anything all day and was starving.

Aria felt her face grow hot at the offer. "I-I'm not interested!" she exclaimed, trying to act nonchalant.

Aria'Why do I act like this?!' Aria questioned herself because she did not act like her usual self right now.

Shido chuckled. "Come on, Aria. Don't be shy. It's just a snack."

"Are you sure you're not hungry?" he asked again, looking at her.

Aria couldn't resist the growling of her stomach any longer and finally admitted, "Okay, maybe a little."

Shido smiled and pulled out a small bag of snacks from his backpack that came out to know where. "Here, have some of these. They're my favourite."

She wanted to ask where he got it, but she just kept quiet, then took a few of the snacks and started munching on them. 'This was surprisingly good' Aria through.

"Thank you," she said softly.

As they sat down together to eat, Aria couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort around Shido. She knew she couldn't trust him completely, not yet, but she couldn't deny the warmth and kindness he showed her.

'It feel so wrong' through aria.

As they ate, Aria's mind raced with thoughts about the strange devices she saw on Shido's ear.

'Ah' Aria's thoughts raced as she took another bite of food. 'So this is how they plan to seal my powers,' she thought to herself.

She took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves. 'But why does it have to be me?' she muttered under her breath. 'Why do I have to suffer like this? It's not fair.'

Aria glanced up at Shido, who was busy eating. 'He seems so normal,' she thought. 'I wonder what he thinks right now.'

She shook her head, scolding herself for even considering the idea of getting close to him. 'I can't let my guard down,' she reminded herself. 'I have to keep my distance and stay focused on finding a way to control my powers.'

Aria finished her meal and stood up, thanking Shido for the food. "I should be going now," she said, "I have some things to take care of."

Shido nodded, "Alright, take care of yourself, Aria. I hope to see you again soon."

Aria smiled faintly, "Yeah, maybe."

As Shido walked away, Aria watched him go, wondering what the future would hold. But for now, she was grateful for the small bit of help he had offered. It was a start, at least.
