Unexpected Guests

After disposing of the remains of the book, he clasped his hands and stood up.

"Shall we return to the fun part? Sword fighting, I mean," he said, putting a joyful smile on his face and replacing his serious demeanor.

"I need to take a bath and eat before I train," he said, heading toward the bathroom. He took his time and then walked to the dining room for breakfast. As expected, he was awestruck by the grandeur of the room. It was spacious and grandiloquent, to say the least.

As he admired the room's magnificence, Alaya greeted him, interrupting his sightseeing at that moment.

"Good morning, young master," Alaya greeted him respectfully with a bow.

He felt awkward and said, "You don't have to be so formal with me..."

"Even though we are close, I am still your servant and must show respect. So don't mind that, young master," she replied softly.

"First of all, You are no- Never mind that," he said, changing the topic. "Is breakfast ready?"

"Yes, it's on the table. I was about to bring it to your room, young master," Alaya answered.

Alaya didn't dwell on what he was about to say before changing the topic and moved on as he didn't say anything about it after changing the topic.

Alaya set his breakfast on the table. It was a typical English breakfast presented in a fancier way.

"So bland," he muttered.

The tasteless English cuisine didn't appeal to his taste buds, which were accustomed to spicy food.

"Pardon me, did you say something, young master?" Alaya asked.

'I am glad I don't have to eat this every day,' He sighed in relief.

"Why don't you eat with me, Alaya?" he offered her to join at the table.

"Thank you, but young-"

she began to answer him but was interrupted by loud knocking and the ringing of the doorbell at the main gate.

"Allow me, young master. I will go check who it is," Alaya said, stopping Lloyd from getting up.

She left the room and headed towards the main gate.

"Are they already here? I thought we had a few more months," she muttered, her tone showing her concern.

She knew exactly who was waiting on the other side of the massive gate. After confirming her handprint, the gate opened.

As soon as the gate opened, their voices became audible and their silhouettes appeared. There was a tall, handsome man with black hair who was dressed as a butler. He was accompanied by a pair of twins around Lloyd's age.

"I greet the young master Eadric and young mistress Elith," Alaya said, bowing deeply to show her respect.

The pair consisted of one boy and one girl, both with lustrous silver locks and ocean-like blue eyes. The girl, Elith was an alluring young girl with soft round cheeks followed by rosy lips and ocean-like blue eyes with long well maintained lashes matching her bright ocean-blue eyes.

Eadric stood out with his above-average height and athletic build. He had a defined jawline and sharp facial features, unlike his sister Elith, who was quiet and composed. Eadric, on the other hand, was loud, impulsive, and often thoughtless.

Out of all of them, only one was the loudest, to the point that it sounded like shouting. Her sister was the quietest of all and was observing her surroundings, while the man in the suit was looking at Alaya.

'Why are they here?'

Her worry rose multiple folds when she saw the duo. She couldn't understand why they were there and was puzzled by their arrival.

"Haaagh! I'm not here to receive greetings from a servant. I'm only here to meet him!"

He walked inside directly, ignoring her greeting.

'This brat!'

She was irritated by his behavior but didn't show it on her face.

"Good morning, I hope we are not disturbing you." Elith greeted her.

"No, not at all, young mistress," Alaya replied politely, masking her concern.

Unlike her brother, she not only exchanged greetings with Elith, but also engaged in polite conversation with her.

"Please come inside, young mistress," Alaya kindly invited Elith.

After greeting the pair, she finally turned to the man in the suit and greeted him as well.

"Hello Grait, what brings you here today?" she asked in a friendly tone.

"Do I really have to spell it out for you, Alaya? You already know the reason," Grait replied in his calm and soothing voice.

"Anyway, if you'll let me in, we can discuss it inside," Grait suggested.

"Who's stopping you?" Alaya asked, inviting him in.

Eventually, both of them entered the mansion, and the gate closed behind them.

The pair sat on the sofa, and Alaya asked if they needed anything, but both declined.

"He has been living here lately. This place is quite cramped and suffocating compared to the main family," Eadric spoke his thoughts after observing the mansion.

Eadric continued to ramble loudly, in contrast to his sister who sat silently, waiting for certain someone.

"Who's causing all this noise in the morning?" Lloyd complained, as he ate his breakfast.

He could only complain as couldn't really do anything about the commotion.

In the conversation with the duo, Alaya tried to avoid mentioning Lloyd, unless necessary, to keep him out of trouble.

"If the young masters don't mind, can we step into a private room to discuss some trivial matters?" Alaya requested.

Receiving their permission, Alaya and Grait excused themselves to a private room to discuss some important matters away from their eyes.

Eadric's impatience grew as he called out for Lloyd, "Where is he?"

"Eadric, please lower your voice. It's hurting my soul!" Edith spoke sternly, noticing there was no one else around.

"I don't care about your ears! Why hear my voice if they hurt that much? Put cotton on your ears for all I care. " Eadric retorted.

"Lloyd! Come here!" Eadric shouted.

Eadric was growing impatient and couldn't wait any longer for Lloyd to come to them, so he set out to search for him on his own inside the mansion.
