14 Chapter 12 | Rewards... 2.

Reaching home, I sat on the sofa and decided to check the rewards, I'd just received.

'Aroura, can you open the last notification's I got today?' I asked with anticipation in my voice.

[Understood... Retrieving notifications within the last hour.]

[Main Mission: [First Relationship (Hero)] Completed]

[distributing reward...]

[Skill, [Basic Hacking Mastery] has been added to [Skills]]

[Item, [Random Martial Arts Manual Ticket] has been added to [Storage]]

[[Barbera Gordon (Batgirl)] has been added to [Relationships]]

Looking through the rewards, I first try out the [Basic Hacking Mastery], envisioning the skill, I feel a rush of information seeping into my brain. However, the information starts to become to much and I quickly deactivate the skill. Taking a knee, I try to catch my breath.

From what I just experienced, the skill is definitely helpful, but until I get some background knowledge and practice, the strain it's puts on is to much.

Looking at my other rewards, I take out the [Random Martial Art Manual Ticket], as I do a golden ticket appears and floats into my hand. Debating for a few seconds, I decide not to use it yet and instead focus on honing my current skill set and abilities, after all I haven't even tried out my [Natural Energy].

Turning to the last reward, I was stumped, I can't tell anything about it. Looking at the [???] I decided to ask Aroura.

'Aroura, any idea what this is?' I asked hoping she might have a clue.

[Sorry, I have no information.]

'I thought so... thanks anyways.' I thought as I sighed.

[No problem.]

'Do you think I should take it out?' I asked honestly confused on what to do.

[I recommend against doing so.] She stated.

'Why?'

[Anything marked with a ? mark is marked as something you are not ready for, weather that be not meeting a requirement or it being to dangerous for you right now. Considering that, I recommend to wait at least until you have some information on it or and icon of it shows up in the [Storage].] Aroura explained and I nodded my head understanding her reasoning.

'Alright thanks for the advice.' I said with genuine thanks.

[Anytime.] Aroura replied curtly and went quite once again.

Realizing something I decided to ask Aroura while I was at it.

''Aroura, what's the point of the [Relationship] function?'' I asked as it just showed me the emotional and phycological state of women I share a relationship with.

[The [Relationship] function is used to keep track of individuals who have not yet become members of the [Harem]. Actually after adding someone to the [Harem] you'll receive a reward depending on the individual. The [Relationship] function also holds two other uses but you have not yet unlocked it.] Aroura explained and I widened my eyes at the realization that adding someone could earn me a reward... but somehow it felt slightly wrong. Hesitantly, I looking over to the reward notification still opened and thought about the idea of having a harem of DC heroes and villains.

''...slightly.'' I repeated but now with a completely different meaning. Shaking my head I wiped the small amount of drool on my chin and got my mind out of the gutter.

'Oh! While your at it can you open [Relationships], Aroura?' I asked.

Tapping on '(expand)' a new scream appeared with Barbera's [Relationship] information.

Reading her description, I couldn't help but laugh. Her feelings where pure and childish, something I hadn't seen in a while. Somehow the last part about being 'awkward or strange' still irked me a little, still it's probably just childish games.

''Little rascal...'' I mumbled and closed all the screens. Turning my attention to training, I looked at the date and realized the invasion was coming soon, if I played my cards right I could even become one of the founding members of the Justice League, although not likely considering my age...

Taking out Hyōrinmaru, it slightly vibrated in my grip as if to greet me. Taking two fingers and running them down the flat of the blade I returned my own greeting.

''I missed you too.'' I whispered with a smile on my face, and walked outside to train my Shikai.
