( Yuuki's POV )

???: And why would I do that?

R activated a Kagune Koukaku that looked like a black shield half his size, as he was pinned to the ground my attack didn't move him an inch and he sent me flying with a shield bash, when I was in the air R activated another Kagune Ukaku and shooting obsidian shards at me, I separated my hollow sword and I cut all the projectiles with fast swings of my swords, he was stronger than I expected but he was lacking in the battle experience department.

I fired a [Storm Dragon] at him and I plunged my swords into the ground to slash his kagune, I ran under my [Storm Dragon] as I kept slashing his kagune, his Koukaku was quite resistant and was able to stop my first attack completely but when he was defending himself I hit him with my super heavy sword, R was pushing several meters away and when he was at a safe distance my eyes glowed green and I snapped my fingers.

Yuuki: [ explosive tree ]

The seeds that I had buried with my pile bunker at the beginning of the fight grew rapidly and R was restrained with strong branches that came out of the ground, around him appeared small trees with BIMs hanging from them like fruit that I remotely detonate, all the BIMs created a massive explosion and with the debris from the trees acting as shrapnel he should be dead but I didn't let my guard down.

Miyabi: Yuuki!

While I was waiting for the smoke from the explosion to clear I heard Miyabi's voice, she was running towards me, probably worried about the explosion just now, for how fast she came, she must have already been looking for me before that, I was going to tell her to stay away but before I could say anything a long Kagune came out of the smokescreen and went straight towards Miyabi, I teleported in front of her, the Kagune wrapped around my arm and I instantly noticed that it was much stronger than the previous one, R retracted his Kagune and he tore off half of my arm along with the bracelet with my Materia,

Seeing all the blood spilled on the ground, Miyabi's eyes widened and her face turned pale, first of all, I stopped the bleeding and got into a posture to stop his next attack right now my priority is to protect Miyabi, I made a mental connection with Matsu to request support fire and at that moment the second attack came, two tentacle-like limbs approached at great speed and in the corner of my eyes, I saw a white blur pass by, Sif ran past me to bite off one of the kagunes and I took care of the other one.

Yuuki: Sif, cover my left.

Sif stood next to me and we watched as the smoke cleared there was someone almost four meters tall in what looked like completely black armor he had four kagunes on his back and two large shields on his forearms, He took my barrier bracelet and threw my arm to the side like it was trash, Sif saw this and she spit out the Kagune she had in her mouth and crushed it with her paw while she growled.

With his size and his extendable kagunes he can probably only fight effectively at mid to long range so I activated my [ lightning body ] to close the distance between us immediately, I attacked him with an upward downward slash combo and double back kick while Sif aimed the Kagunes at his back, the two of us made him step back quickly and I took the opportunity to reattach my left arm, Although I was healing it continuously, it wasn't responding correctly so I kept fighting with one hand and my Kagunes.

Both Sif and I specialized in speed and power, we kept him at arm's length and it didn't take us long to overwhelm R who could only defend himself, Granted his defense was impressive but we were breaking it little by little when I saw an opening Sif and I aimed at his neck to finish it off with a swing of our swords, R reacted as fast as he could and joined his hands and kagunes to create a tower shield, we didn't hold back and our attacks went through his defense but they got stuck in his shield and stopped millimeters away from his neck.

I clicked my tongue and suddenly I felt danger approaching, I kicked the shield to remove my sword and get away, at that moment two Megalos moles came out of the ground and their huge claws collided in the place where my head was a moment ago.

R: Damn Shido, what took you so long?

Behind R was my old teacher, the Filthy Weasel Shido himself, with a squad of Megalos, and I could hear a horde of zombies and more Megalos approaching, with a useless arm this could be a problem.

Shido: at last! I will make you suffer ten times for everything you did to me! I must discipline you properly Kurokawa-kun~

Yuuki: You should have done the world a favor and died in your hospital bed.

R: Let's finish this quickly, his group should arrive at any moment.

Lilith and Julie were running towards me with murderous glares and when R saw them he lost his will to fight and decided to run away, Shido was a lost cause who just kept staring at me so he decided to use it as a distraction to escape, the back of his armor opened up and he made his escape, He jumped high and used his kagune to glide away from us.

I released all my seals and the top half of an energy dragon appeared behind me and pointed its open mouth at R.

Yuuki: [dragon breath]

R flying slowly was an easy target and I put every single bit of power into that attack, The dragon fired his giant laser beam but when the attack was about to connect he abruptly changed direction toward the clouds.

I felt a shiver run down my spine and the clouds began to circulate strangely.

Yuuki: This doesn't feel right.
