BTOOOM! Day 1

( Yuuki's POV )

When I jump out of the plane and feel the cold air on my face I smile and enjoy the sensation of free fall until my parachute opens automatically.

Above me, I heard the screams of the people being pushed out of the cargo plane, when I landed on the island the sun started to rise and I took a great sniff of the smell of the island.

Before doing anything I took inventory of everything I had in me, the parachute, my backpack, some binoculars, a liter of water, two liters of sports drinks, a lot of chocolates and several bags of chips, three smartphones, and my gray haori with the Sekirei symbol, and finally my pouch with my BIMs.

In the BTOOOM online game, there are eight types of BIM, each player starts with a type of BIM that they select and you can find other types of BIM on the map during a match, the BIMs they gave us were random and I doubt that there other types of BIM just lying around on the Island so to get other types of BIM and have more chances to win you would have to team up or be the first to kill someone else while they are still trying to deny the situation we are in.

When I opened my pouch I saw eight BIMs in the form of small metallic pyramids, my BIMs were barrier type, when activated they create a pyramid-shaped barrier around the player that can withstand all the explosions of other BIMs, and these were the only BIMs that could be used multiple times.

I put my pouch on my waist, my backpack on my right shoulder, and my haori over my shoulders, I wanted to find high ground to start looking for the reincarnated but before I moved I heard something behind me, I turned around and a little girl about Kuu's age came out of some bushes and stared at me.

Yuuki: hi there.

I can't believe someone would send someone like her to this island, I crouched down and extended my hand towards her.

Yuuki: tell me, what's your name?

She takes a couple of steps forward and she takes a tablet out of her bag, she writes something on the tablet and she turns it to me.

[ Kaguya ]

Yuuki: You can't talk?

She shakes her head to say no and she writes something else on her tablet.

[ Can you help me? ]

I could see that she was scared, which was completely understandable, I was already planning to help as many people as possible so I agreed immediately.

Yuuki: You're in luck, I can definitely protect you, my name is Yuuki by the way.

Everyone on this island is here because someone wanted them to disappear, maybe some just pissed off the wrong person but there are also some who genuinely deserve to die on this island but this girl definitely doesn't deserve to be here.

Kaguya slowly walked toward me and after a few seconds she took my hand and some of her fear disappeared.

As we had formed a team, I asked Kaguya to show me her BIM and she did it without hesitation, she had barrier-type BIM just like me and after giving her a little talk about not trusting strangers so much we started walking through the forest of the island.

Yuuki: listen Kaguya, on this island, there are bad guys who will want to hurt us so when one of them is near you hide, understood?

Kaguya squeezes the sleeve of my haori and she slowly nods.

With Kaguya by my side, we search for a good place to make a temporary base, I put Kaguya on my back and climb a tall tree, and looking around I find a good place.

Yuuki: Look at that, do you think it's a good place for a base?

Kaguya looks over my shoulder at the place I was pointing at, on the edge of the island there was a kind of watchtower, there we will be protected from the elements and we won't have to worry about enemies coming at us from behind, Kaguya nodded in agreement but before we made our way to the watchtower I see a plane approaching the island.

The plane dropped several briefcases by parachute, probably supplies to keep us alive and force us to fight for them, I jumped out of the tree and put Kaguya on the ground.

Yuuki: Stay here? We need those supplies.

Kaguya pulled on my shirt and she shook her head, she was scared so I took off my haori and put it on her.

Yuuki: This is very important to me, it will help you feel safe, I won't be long, ok.

She lets me go and I pat her head before running after the supplies, I went to the closest place where I saw one of the briefcases fall and with my speed, I got it without any problem, I didn't stop to check the content and immediately came back for Kaguya, when she saw me she smiled and I put her on my back again.

When we arrived at the watchtower the sun was setting and we checked the contents of the briefcase, it was full of food and drinks plus sunscreen and a shirt, the watchtower had an old sofa on it and after eating as Kaguya was slowly falling asleep I made a pillow out of my parachute and gave her my haori to use as a blanket

Yuuki: good night Kaguya.

Kaguya wrote [ Good night ] on her tablet and when she fell asleep I went up to the roof of the watchtower to watch the island and in the distance, I could see explosions lighting up the island, I sighed heavily and took out my smartphone to text Matsu.

Yuuki: [ how is the plan going? ]

Matsu: [ everything is ready Yuu-tan~, we are just waiting for your signal]

Yuuki: [ perfect, one more thing, I need you to look for information about someone]

Matsu: [ ok just give me a name ]
