King : Let me guess, did he killed them again?
The king look the knight standing infront of the tea table
El Fer : I'm afraid that you're right, your majesty.
The king face palmed
King : *sigh* just what did he want anyway? Why did he start killing dark mages out of nowhere?
El Fer : I've heard that his parents are killed by dark mages while he was really young.
King : How's the number?
El Fer : It turned five hundreds and thirty-one today, your majesty.
King : I didn't know that much of dark mages exist in the kingdom. I would be glad if the killer was someone other. How did he got informations in the first place? Do you think he used forbidden magic?
El Fer : It was impossible, your majesty. Dark mages use forbidden magic but not every dark mages could cast forbidden spells by themselves. Most of them need multiple supports to cast a spells and that was the reason they live in groups. Forbidden magic could certainly reveal the location of anyone the caster want to know. But to reveal hundreds of locations, caster would need at least more than twenty supports to cast the spell. It's impossible that twenty mages would help him to cast a forbidden spell and he couldn't cast the spell for multiple times because the sacrifices cost would be too great to handle for a boy like him.
King : Then, what's your answer?
El Fer : This is unexplainable. But.... if he was the boy that your majesty was searching, it would explain a little bit. After all, he created the medicine that even great doctor Frick couldn't.
King : Hmm... you think it's the time to ask him to face?
El Fer : I think we still need to know his next step. He's eliminating dark mages for now but... what would he do after that? I think waiting would be the best option, your majesty.

Man A : Why is this happening. How did the enemy know our locations. How?
Man B : It's impossible. Even a spy couldn't know every hideouts.
Woman A : Whoever it was, I won't forgive them. I'll grant them worst death I can give.
Woman B : That's not helping. What we really need now was to thinking about the next move.
Man C : She's right. Freaking out didn't help anyone. We need a plan.
Man D : A plan for what? How to spent our last moments? You really think we could stand a chance against them? We don't even have eye witness. No one haven't seen them... not even their shadows. All we know was they use needle like weapon and sword.
Man E : Hold you tongue.
Man D : Am I wrong? We don't know their numbers. We don't know their weapons. We don't know how they look like. We don't know when they would come for us. We know nothing! Absolutely nothing! You want to kill them. But you know what, you can't even curse them because no one have seen them. They might not human and could be some kind of monster or worse, they might even demons.
Men F : Stop that!!
Because of the shout, the room fall to silent
Men F : We know our weakness. But talking about how helpless we are didn't help us at all. This conversation running in circle. Stop talking negative. They might have killed many of our people. But this isn't over. We have more than five hundreds of members left in this kingdom. And that not even half of our true power. There's thousands of us across the world. We still have chance to fight back. Don't give u...
Just then the light went out and something pierced the man's forehead, killing him instantly. While others shocked and terrified, unknown weapons are coming out of nowhere and pierced their throats and eyes. They tried to fightback but the poison stun their nerves and stop their movements. Then, someone run toward them and cut off their heads in the dark
George : It seems like giving up sleep was the right choice.
Kuragari : I told you. We can't have off day.... I mean night properly unless they all gone.
George : But you're the one who gave me that idea.
Kuragari : Sorry boy, talking is really easy unlike reality.
George : *sigh* I won't angry or anything because I already saw that coming.
Kuragari : I see. You become closer to real chad. But you still need hundred years to catch me.
George : I don't want that. Also, I tell you to only use the words I know.
The boy took out nails from the corpses and look around the room
George : It seems like this place was just a meeting room to gather. There's nothing magic related items and books here.
Kuragari : I see. Then, let's go back quickly before anyone could notice us.
The boy walked out from the room and disappeared in the dark

[At Palace, King's Personal Room]
El Fer : There's nothing left except the corpses of dark mages. Just like other cases, there's no trace left behind.
King was face palmed after hearing the news from knight
El Fer : It seems there's more dark mages hiding in the kingdom.
King : *sigh* why is this happening. I really grateful for his actions. But... he's still a teenager. I don't want someone this young to become an assassin who slaughter enemies nonstop.
El Fer : Are you feeling pity for him, your majesty?
King : Of course, El Fer. I don't like this because I'm parent and I have a child at his age too. I don't want my daughter to become an assassin. I'd rather let myself assassinate by enemies. You have a son too. I think you understand what I'm saying.
El Fer : Yes, your majesty. No parents would want their children become a mass murderer. After killing many people... I came to realise that killing was really bad. Not only because it took lives, it break the soul of killer too. I felt empty inside every time I kill someone. Even when it was for the sake of kingdom, the blood stains on my hands never go away.
King : That was the reason I don't want this to continue anymore. I want to stop this... I want to talk to him. Right now.
El Fer : As you wish, your majesty.

The boy was lying on the bed, thinking about the suddenly summoning to the palace
George : Is that part of your plan too?
Kuragari : Not really but I know that it could come one day.
George : Then, what should I do?
Kuragari : Are you seriously asking me that?
George : What?
Kuragari : He's King. You can't refuse this. We might become a criminal if we oppose him.
George : But we can't tell him the truth, right?
Kuragari : Yes, we can't tell the truth. It would ruin the whole plan. Dark mages are number one. We can't let them away.
George : Then, what should I do? He have the ring of truth, right? I can't lie him.
Kuragari : Who said you have to lie. You'll tell the truth.... but it just not everything.

Kuragari : I'm saying that you don't have to tell him about everything. Just tell him some parts and left out everything.
George : Will it really work?
Kuragari : He can detect lie but couldn't force anyone to tell the truth.
George : Is that possible?
Kuragari : Of course, in that way... he couldn't do anything about it. Anyway... I think we can get something from him.
George : Something what?
Kuragari : Rewards of course. We've killed numerous dark mages without anyone asking. We're hero in the shadow. Any good people would give us rewards they can offer. King will give us too. And you'll have to accept this one.

George : Umm... I thought assassins don't need swordmanship?
Kuragari : You fool! You have face to show. You can't use those technics in public fights. Those fighting styles can take lives easily. You can't use them unless you must. Also in academy, you'll have to fight your classmates using sword. That's why you need training.
George : But... couldn't you train me like you have?
Kuragari : I can't. Sword training need an opponent who was master in sword. We can fight anyone in dark easily but also powerless under sun light. You remember the knight who talked to you in private before?
George : Yes, I did.
Kuragari : As I've said before, he was the best knight in entire kingdom. No one could beat him in proper sword fight. This is once in lifetime chance. You have to become his student. Got it?
George : Got it.
