Fairy of the Forest

Kuragari : I see. (So basically....this world shared similarities with a game called "Avalon & Apple" which I played before. Magic and supernatural beings are exist. People also have similar names. Maybe, even history and future might be same as the game too. If everything was same, there's a chance that princess Charlotte have same voice as Miwamari-san! Ahh.....I want to see her. Her voice is so beautiful and priceless. Princess might be female antagonist in game but Queen's death was the cause. If Queen didn't die, she would be the best girl in entire game. Wait a minute.....is Queen still alive?) Hey boy, is Queen still alive?

George : (Yeah, she's still alive. But her condition is really bad)

Kuragari : I see. (Queen died when Charlotte turn eleven. That means, Charlotte was still ten now. I have to save Queen. If not, Charlotte would become the most arrogant girl in this kingdom. I can't let that happen. She must fall in love with Cecilia just like in Yuri route. She's really happy when Cecilia holding her hand. Those scenes are really precious. I want to see them together in real life. I must make them come true no matter what takes) Hey boy, did you have a book to write?

George : (Yes. What? You want to write something?)

Kuragari : Yeah. I'm gonna tell you something really important. But my brain was messed up and I might forget later. So, you have to write down everything I tell from now on.

George : (Huh? What you'll gonna tell me anyway?)

Kuragari : The future.

The boy grab pencil and opened the book

George : (I see.......) Wait what!

Kuragari : And.....this is the end.

George : (Hey oldman, can I ask you something?)

Kuragari : What is it?

George : (You said Helena will be killed by dark mages. Is that true?)

Kuragari : This is the future I know, boy. But, this world's future might be different. After all, I didn't exist in that story. My existence alone will change your future. And by changing you, people around you will be change too. And then, the whole world will be change.

George : (I don't really get it but then....will she live?)

Kuragari : Just because the future changed doesn't mean she won't die.

George : (What!)

Kuragari : Let me give you an example. There's three clones of you live in this house. You all hungry. One ignored his hunger and went to sleep. One went to shop and bought bread to eat. One went into the kitchen and ate leftover soup. In the next day, first one died from hunger. Second one don't have enough money to buy food again and die from hunger like the first one. Third one still have money to buy food and he live. They're your three different futures based on your decisions. It's just an example. Because....in reality, there's so many possible futures exist. And I only know one of them. In some futures, she will alive. But in some futures, she will die.

The boy clench his fists

George : (Then.....what should I do? Can I save her? Can I create the future she live?)

Kuragari : Hmm....let me ask you something first. Is Helena important person to you?

George : (Yes. Four years ago, dark mages attack the village. They killed many people including my parents. Her father, Jarl Perceless saved me from that hell. They let me stay in their house for months. And then, uncle picked me up. They're noble family but treat me like one of their own family member. Helena also become my friend. I want to repay but I'm still a kid that time. I couldn't do anything)

Kuragari : (Well....you're still a kid, boy)

George : (I vowed to repay them as soon as I can. That's why I want to save her. I'll do anything. Please, oldman! Save her!)

Kuragari : (You damn brat. You said please but still calling me an oldman) *sigh* well, we might able to save her. We know the future.....we can change it.

George : (Tell me how exactly)

Kuragari : I said dark mages killed her, right?

George : (Yes)

Kuragari : Then, we just have to kill them. A simple solution.

George : (Yea.......wait what!)

Kuragari : Yeah. Two dark mages killed her. But I didn't know their names. So, we'll have to kill every dark mages in this kingdom.

George : (E-E-Every d-d-dark mages in t-t-this kingd-dom???)

Kuragari : Yeah. But, don't worry. It don't have to be now. We have more important matters to do.

George : (What matters?)

Kuragari : Saving Queen's life.

[At Night]

In The Woods

The boy was walking in the forest with a torch in his right hand

George : Hey oldman, are you sure that forest fairies still exist? People said they've gone for thousands of years already.

Kuragari : Boy, let me tell you this. People used to say things that actually wrong. They're called rumors for reason. People used to trust things they want. No matter it was wrong or right. If they want to accept, they don't trust it. But when they want, they just trust it. It just feelings. Not truth or false. That's why you can't trust everything you've heard.

George : Then, what about you?

Kuragari : It seems I have to teach you everything. Boy, brain wasn't exist only to save memories. You can think. Think what would I gain from lying you. When people lie, there's always a reason. They gain something from lying. If you want to know that the person is lying or not, you have to think that what would he gain or lose from that. Did you really think that lying a kid like you to walk in the forest at the middle of the night would grant me something?

George : Fair point.

Kuragari : Also, another thing. Don't talk ahead before thinking. Talking is easy but if you've said something you shouldn't, there's no turning point. You can talk everything to me but not everyone. People are not the same. Some are good and most are bad. I'm not sure about good people but, bad people are talk like good persons. It someone say that he's good person, then it's clear that he's a bad person.

George : Then, what about you?

Kuragari : I'm chaotic evil.

George : ......okay

Eventually, they found the lake in the middle of the forest

George : Hey, I found the lake.

Kuragari : Good. Then, find square marked tree. It should be near.

George : It's here.

Boy walked toward the tree

George : Now, what?

Kuragari : Touch the mark.

The boy touched the mark and look around

George : And? I saw no fairy.

Kuragari : Because the ritual wasn't finish. We have to find three more trees. Triangle, circle and cross.

George : ......why didn't you say earlier?

Kuragari : You talk too much. Just get into work. We don't have much time. We have to go back before sun rise.

George : Whatever.

[Hour Later]

The boy touched the cross mark of the tree

George : Okay?

Just then, the marks start shining and a woman appeared on the lake's surface. Her body was just like water and transparent. She appeared to have long hair and have good shapes. Boy shocked

George : Is...is this....fairy?

Kuragari : Yes. She's a guardian of this forest. But long ago, certain stupid mage sealed her in this lake. That's why she's still here.

The boy walked near the lake and the woman come near them

Mer : I am Mer. Long agos, humans sealed me in this lake. I have been sleeping and waiting my saver. You free me from this lake. You have my gratitude. I grant you one question. Ask me.

Kuragari : Now, boy. As we said before.

George : Umm....I want to save the queen of this kingdom. What do need to do? Tell me exactly.

Woman surprised. She's expecting something other like treasure locations or secrets of magic. But the boy asked something other. Something which wouldn't have much benefits for him

Mer : Even if you save the queen, you won't become the price nor granted unlimited wealth. Tell me boy. Why did you ask this?

Woman's voice become intense and boy become nervous

Kuragari : Don't scare boy. Just say exactly what I tell you. Don't make a mistake. A single mistake will kill both of us.

George : *glup*....wealth....wealth wasn't my goal. My goal is beyond that. I want to change the future.

Woman surprised. She don't trust the boy but like his answer

Mer : Future.....huh? I understand. Listen carefully. You'll need ******* ****** ******* ***** ****** ****** ********. That's all.

George : Thank you for telling me this.

Mer : Tell me your name.

George : My name? George Rivelet.

The woman still unconvinced

Mer : And?

George : What?

Mer : Tell me the name of spirit inside you too.

Boy shocked

George : What???

Kuragari : I see. She can see the spirits inside bodies. Tell her my name, boy. We don't have choice.

George : Kuragari.....Mayoi.

The woman smiled

Mer : George, Kuragari, I hope you two would able to achieve your goals. May fairies look upon you. Thank you. I hope we meet again.

The woman disappeared

George : Is that just my imagination or did she really gave blessing?

Kuragari : No, she really did gave blessing. (This is weird. I've never heard that she give blessing. No one haven't mention this fact. Is this world have differences unlike game? Damn.....there's so many questions but no one know the answers. Maybe I should ask this question next time. But now, we have many things to do. I have to train this brat. I need to know about my spirit powers. I need to investigate about Cecelia too. And we only have 6 years. It's been already two days since I awaken. I have many things to do. I can't mess up like my past life. I have to do anything to make Charlotte smile. Damn...I want hear her voice)
