Chapter 2: Time skip (4 years).

'It's already been 17 years when I first came to this world. Now it's already time for me to start my own adventure. Now where to start?'

As Xero was thinking on how and where his first destination will be, Ross was looking at him and kept thinking if he should tell him about his parents.

"Xero, come here and let's talk."

"What is it pa, can't you see I'm busy planning for journey?" said Xero grumpily.

"It can wait, it's important for you to know this. It's about your Parents, you already know that I'm not your biological Grandfather. So, it's time to tell you about them." Xero already knew that he was not his real Grandson ('Hello, he was reincarnated here, of course he'd knew').

Ross continued, "Your mother was caught by the Marines, and was executed. We found their location in South blue, and that was the time I met you. I couldn't bring myself or order my men to kill an innocent child. That's why I took it upon myself to raise you. Your father left your mom before you were born, and was killed by the Marines, he tried leading the Marines away from you so that they won't find you."

Ross who was telling the story of how they met, was crying.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't save you mom. I should have atleast save her, you grew up without knowing a parental love. I'm so sor—" Xero didn't let Ross finish his words.

"Enough, you don't to say sorry. You were the one who raised and I'm forever grateful for that. As for my parents, whoever they are and wherever they are, I'll always be thankful for them for giving birth to me. Pa, you were the one who taught me everything I know, even though you can be a little rough. You don't need to apologize, biological or not, you are my Grandpa, nothing can change that."

Xero smiled as he said those words, he was truly grateful for Ross on saving him as a child.

As Ross was wiping his tears, he suddenly remembered that he was going to give Xero something.

"Right, enough of this drama. I'm going to give something so, follow me."

Xero was very much excited, he learned everything from his Grandpa, how to use to types of haki, and the marines 6 rokushiki. He followed Ross back to their house, which was located in the entrance of the forest where he trained.

When they entered the house, Ross reach for the small box and handed it to Xero who was curious on what inside. As Xero opened it, he was having mixed emotions.

"This is a Devil fruit, right?" Xero immediately asks.

"Yes, it is. As a matter of fact, it's a Zoan fruit. As for what it is, I do not know."

Xero was not happy of that answer, he'd rather like to a logia devil fruit, and he didn't know what type of zoan this is.

'Yes, it is a Devil fruit, but I don't know what powers I'll get. If it's some shitty power then I'll lose my ability to swim and also became a laughingstock in this world.' Xero was nervous on what type of Zoan this fruit is.

"Pa, can you give me some sugar?"

"hahaha. Just eat it, I want to see your reaction." Ross said as he grinned.

"tss. Fine." Xero knew that it would taste bitter, so he asked for the salt. As he took a bite, his face changed color.

'bleegh, it's really bitter.' Xero said in his mind. Ross who was looking at Xero's expression was laughing.

"hahaha. You should have seen your face, it was indescribable."

"So, what power did you get? Can you transform into a horse, or a snail?" Ross asked teasingly.

When Xero heard it, he snapped back.

"It's not even being digested yet. If it's a horse I'd rather not u---." Xero didn't have a chance to finish his sentence when he saw Ross' face.

Ross was shocked to see 2 pairs of wings on Xero's back. Then the young man also felt that there is something on his back, Ross on the other hand ran back to their house and fetch a big mirror the same height of Xero which is 5'11".

'Holy Crap! Am I an Angel? Is this my devil fruit? Wait it would be ironic if my Zoan devil fruit would be an Angel.' He chuckled as he thought of the last part, it would really be ironic. Then he immediately felt that he can transform even more than just 2 sets of wings. Then his face changed, his mouth turned into a beak, his body grew large then he grew feathers, his hand and feet became large talons like raptor talons.

Ross who saw Xero transform was excited, then the weather changed, as if there's a storm brewing. He knew it's about Xero's devil fruit but didn't know what kind of model of bird it is. He knew about Marco the phoenix, Whitebeard's 1st commander. Marco's Devil fruit is a "Mythical Zoan" said to be much rarer than a logia devil fruit. Marco's Phoenix model, as the name says, is a phoenix. It has unbelievable regenerative ability, and with it's flames he can heal others as well.

Back to Xero. His new form 2.4 meters (8feet) long, with a wingspan of 3.05 meters (10feet). He looked like a Griffin, but he knew that he was a bit larger. He can create thunderstorms; suddenly a name of a certain mythical beast entered his mind.

'Thunderbird' he smiled thinking about it, it may not be as famous as a phoenix or a dragon back on Earth, but it was still one of the Mythical beasts. He first saw a thunderbird when he watched a movie about a certain wizard who was taking care of some fantastic beasts.

"So, what is it?" Ross asked.

"It's a type of mythical bird, name is thunder bird." Xero replied proudly. He was certainly happy that he got this thunderbird, now he would be able to boast about his devil fruit.

"thunderbird? What a good name and it's a mythical zoan too. Test its abilities first." Ross said.

Xero, who heard Ross, flaps his wings attempting to fly, he was surprise that he can control his wings even though it was his first time. As he was leaving the ground, euphoria exploded within him, who didn't dream of flying to the vast skies? He suddenly then flew up to the sky and looking at the world of One Piece on the sky above.

'this world is huge, it's beautiful but dangerous. It's like a rose, it has its thorns.' Then he accelerated, he was fast, though not as fast as kizaru but he was quite happy with this speed. With his haki proficiency and strength he can match any Vice-Admiral or even beat them except for Vice-Admiral Garp.

As he flew down, he transforms back into his human form, but he can still use his wings even in human form.

"now I'm ready to start my adventure pa, thanks for everything, I'll come visit you whenever I'm in the area." Xero smiled while he said those words to Ross, he was truly happy for Ross for saving him when he first came into this world. He did recognize Ross as his Grandfather.

"Now now, men don't need to say anything when they're separating right? Like as you said, you can always visit me, especially now that you can fly." Ross also smiled.

"I'll be leaving now pa, take care, maybe find some old women to accompany, cause the younger ones might not even look at you hehe." Xero teased.

"Shut up and go now and remember everything I told you."

And with that Xero flew with his bag full of clothes and food.

"Now where to go?" as he scans the vast sea, he truly looked like an angel if you his figure in the sky.

'My adventure starts right now. Wait for me grandline.' He would like to go to the Grandline immediately, but he was thinking if he should wait for a year first tempering his fighting skills in the four seas. He chose the latter, he would fight fight the future worst generations first, maybe not kill them but still make them suffer some defeats.

Then his plan was formulated he would go to North Blue first. According to his previous knowledge, Basil Hawkins and Trafalgar Law came from the North Blue. So, he will visit them first, he doesn't know how to counter law's devil fruit but he still wants to test his about abilities. He's stronger than them right now, but he knew that when they reached the New World they would be a force to be reckon with.

Thinking about it, he felt nothing but excitement, he knew that Law was a fanboy of Sora, the warrior of the sea. Just like any person in North Blue, he idolized the protagonist and hates the Germa. He was busy imagining the face of Law when he tell him that the organization of Germa is true, or maybe he won't ruin it for him. He would bait him first, may even travelled with him for a while then ask for a spar. But for Hawkins, he would destroy them first then let them run away. As his plan was being formulated, he landed on an island to rest first.

As he entered a restaurant, he can hear people talking about a certain pirate group that's terrorizing the town recently. He was quite excited to fight this pirate especially when heard that the captain has a bounty of a million berry. It's not high but it's better than nothing, as he was finishing his food, a familiar character with a Green hair entered the restaurant and said something that only Xero heard.

"This place is familiar, maybe not, this is just an identical restaurant. Yes, that's it, there's a lot of restaurant that's similar looking." The green haired individual said.

Xero almost burst into laughter when he heard what Zoro said.

'This guy's is really a fantatista, as Nami would say.'
