1 Tarnished or Ninja?

"FARK this game!!!!!!!" Levin yelled out in frustration.

He had spent the past 48 hours suffering from his new addiction, playing Elden Ring. He was not particularly good at the game however he did try his best to keep playing and grinding. However, he had hit his breaking point when he encountered the infamous 'Sh*tskin Duo'. He wasn't able to get past their attack and number advantage no matter how much 'Crowfarming' he did.

Throughout his playthrough, to help cope with his repeated pain and descent into madness, he had played his favorite anime Naruto in the background. Though, he didn't pay attention too much, he still liked listening and glancing at his favorite characters whenever they appeared. He wasn't a fan of the arcs post the Pain arc but he still had a passing memory of them.

Taking a deep breath, he decided to call it a day.

"I'll just get my weapons upgraded as much as I can and grind for a few hours at the blood palace." Levin planned out his next move to relieve his stress.

As he laid down on his bed and let the sweet embrace of death, ahem, I mean sleep take him. A single thought passed through his mind.

'Damn, did I leave the stove on?'

'BOOM'

"Ara ara, wake up young man." Levin, opened his eyes and saw a beautiful woman sitting on a chair staring at him while she drank tea. She had a fair skin, blue eyes, and silver hair. She wore a white dress that was embellished by what looked to be pieces of white comets. Levin felt this distinct feeling that he's seen her appearance before in YouTube videos, but his memory before his Elden Ring marathon was really spotty .

"Hello, Ma'am? Where am I?" Levin asked, while wiping his face and double checking where he was.

It looked like he was in the vast expanse of space as he saw different stars and constellations around him.

"Hahaha, You're here my multiverse palace silly." The lady laughed as she covered her mouth with one hand.

"I see... so why am I here?"

"Well.... you were playing Elden Ring, forgot to turn the stove off, went to bed, and the house exploded."

"... Well fark. That sucks."

"Mhm, it was really cool looking at the explosion though."

"Alright, so what happens next Ma'am?" Levin tried his best to be polite to what he knew was a higher being that he would rather not annoy.

"Oh so sweet and polite, you don't have to be so uptight you know." She said while laughing at his politeness.

"Uh..."

"Don't worry, I just wanted to congratulate you since I'm giving you the chance to be reincarnated with your memories intact,"

"Oh... well Thank you."

"No problem, your life and death this past few days entertained me so I want you to entertain me in your next one too." She said while smiling.

"Okay, I'll do my best Ma'am."

'Okay keep it cool man, there's probably a catch but it's better than being dead.'

"Alright then!" The goddess clapped her hands.

"So, I'll be quick. You can be reincarnated in Elden Ring or Naruto with..."

"NARUTO!..." Levin instinctually yelled out. Though being reincarnated in Naruto was definitely dangerous as well. He had experienced hell the past 48 hours just playing the game so he had a deep rooted fear of the world of Elden Ring.

"Hahahah, not the masochistic type I see... At least not now hihi."

'That doesn't sound well for my future.'

"Anyway, I see that your excited to meet the original brat and the original edgy boy. So, now we move on to your system." The goddess smiled and drank some more tea.

A screen appeared in front of Levin.

[Status]

[Name: To be determined]

[Bloodline: Descendant of the Elden Lord (Choose Demigod Ancestry Below)]

"Naisuuu! Im guessing this will be my kekkei genkai then. "

"Yup, If you had chosen to be reincarnated into the lands in between you would have gotten a system centered around Naruto." The goddess playfully replied.

"Huh... Maybe... Nah I am not going to Elden ring, I don't care what system you give me. Aside from Ranni, there is nothing for me there."

"Ahh, lover of the Lunar Princess I see. Respect. Anyway, why don't you look over your options. I'm sure you recognize some of them, they are some of the bosses you were able to defeat. Keep in mind, you are only a descendant of their bloodline, so the effect is diluted"

[Choose your Bloodline]

[Descendant of Godrick, the Grafted] - "I AM THE LORD OF ALL THAT IS GOLDEN!"

- Bonus affinity for Fire.

- Your physical body will be weak without modification.

- You have the ability to graft different tissues on your body and you will be able to use that tissues abilities somewhat. There is a limit to the amount you can graft.

"..." Levin recalled the demigod's lovely appearance.

"Do I have to look like a weirdo if I use this bloodline ability?"

"What do you think? Hahaha."

"... Yeahhhh, nope. I feel like this could be broken but I'm a bit superficial not gonna lie."

Levin didn't like the idea of his physical body being weaker either. He recalled how much Godrick was looked down on for being the runt of litter among the known demigods.

[Descendant of Malenia, The Severed] - "I am Malenia. Blade of Miquella. And I have never known defeat."

- Increased affinity for kenjutsu.

- Ability to store and release scarlet rot (Side-effects are included.)

- You will have a reincarnating opponent who will repeatedly try to challenge and kill you.

"NO!!! On principle I am not choosing her. Too many traumatic memories."

Levin had a flash back of the hours he spent trying to beat this boss. He had no fun whatsoever and he shed tears of blood. It was only through the help of a hero that trained their whole life to defeat this monster that he was able to defeat her by running away as the hero soloed her.

On a more serious note he also remembered the setting of Elden ring and how scarlet rot had devastated the land. Additionally, he was unsure if he would be able to control it, so there was a high chance of dumb irreversible collateral damage.

[Descendant of Praetor Rykard] - "Togethaaa!"

- Lava release

- Increased aptitude for snakes and their related senjutsu.

- A woman will fall in love with you and try their best to eventually eat your flesh and become one with you.

"Yeah... No. In retrospect, Elden Ring has a bunch of weirdos."

Visions of a weird fire snake echoed through Levin's mind.

"Mhm, and your the weirdo that played through it."

"Sigh... How did I spend the last 48 hours of my life?"

[Descendant of Starscourge Radahn]

- Gravity and Heavenly body release

- Slight increase in affinity for taijutsu and kenjutsu.

- While members of your bloodline are living, invaders from the stars cannot enter your world.

- Inability to use elemental ninjutsu and genjutsu.

"Yikes, I have to go a bit of the Rock lee route to use this bloodline. But... Goddess, I have a question?"

"Yes?" She asked while drink more tea.

"Does this mean that the Otsutsuki won't be able to invade as long as anyone with my blood is still living?" This interested Levin, he hated most of anything that had to do with the Otsutsuki clan in the franchise. If this allowed him to prevent any of the Boruto idiots from entering the elemental nations, he would gladly accept.

"Yes, but they have to have your blood and be officially part of your clan. If your clan ends up getting destroyed, the Otsutsuki can re-enter. "

"Alright... I think this is it then. I hate having to see those idiots. They ruined the franchise worse than the war arc. At least now I only have to deal with Kaguya and Jigen. "

"I see you've made your choice. Are you all ready to go?"

"Wait, do I get a Ranni option?"

"Nope, she's my waifu hahaha." The goddess laughed. It seemed she was possessive over her waifus.

"Fine... it was worth a shot. Thank you goddess." Levin thanked his sponsor regardless of his disappointment.

"Alright then, good luck! Oh by the way could you kill some people I hate when you get there. I'll give you a reward if you can, they're the most annoying pieces of sh*t I've ever seen in anime."

"Ah, no problem goddess!"

Darkness then embraced Levin's vision as he faded out of the Goddess's palace.
