Plans, movements and an adoption.

**Kushina POV**

"That being, what ever it is, is going to attack us soon to try and kill us."

"You want to do something to it?"

"I do. From what I learnt by observing the fabric of fates is that each person has a very limited time they can spend watching it much less living there, and I'm sure the fabric wants to expel that being from there as much as we want to get it off of our back."

"So you basically want to expose it's location by using yourself as a bait? How wouldn't the being just find out about it by looking at the fates of people that lived during the Kyuubi incident?"

"It hasn't caught onto us because we are being shielded by someone for now, but that shield will break soon since I had to use it to observe and learn about the fabric of fates by hiding from that being."

"Shielded by someone? Who?"

"That I don't know."

"Do you really think it is wise to interrupt into these games of this beings that seem to hold such abilities?"

"Not really, but do we have a choice? We are going to die if we don't do anything anyway right?"

*sigh*

"All this is so complicated Kushina... and I don't want to lose you again. What will Naruto do without you here? And why do you think that Naruto won't be targeted if the being once finds out about you?"

"The being will find out about me irrespective of me trying to banish it or not. And we aren't trying to fight it, right now. We're just trying to send it back away from there so that we can prevent it from holding our future hostage above our necks like a kunai."

I watched as Minato looked into my eyes with a little reluctance but still agreed in the end.

"So what do you need?"

"I don't know, what can you give? After all, coming back alive from this isn't a guarantee."

"Then I'm coming as well-"

"Mina-"

"No no questions asked, I will not budge on this one."

**Megumi POV**

'Well that made things a whole lot easier for your ideas.'

'It did.'

'So now even if you have to set up a store you don't have to leave the village?'

'I guess? How does that matter anyway?'

'Nothing. Just thought mum and dad might miss you if you left for the capital with Tsuna-nee alone.'

'It would be fine. With what I'm making distance shouldn't be a problem anymore.'

'I thought you were making a book?'

'Yes, that is for the sake of selling, I'm making something else for the sake of keeping in touch with everyone even if I'm far away.'

'Huh? Really? That would make a huge difference."

"It would! Which is why I will only make an attempt at selling it after a few years." 

'I see.'

'You got any idea of how the Hokage was able to get these concessions from the Daimyo?' I asked the question that was bugging me, since everything in politics came at a price.

'I don't really know, but maybe he decided to increase the amount of money the village gives back to the court since it will be earning its own money now?'

'That might be one thing, but if the Court did that they wouldn't have the feeling of holding a leash connected to the hidden village anymore. There has to be something more to it. Something that can safely allow the Daimyo to give into the demands of the Hokage, something important that the Hokage can be controlled with.'

'You mean to say, that since the shinobi have the different option of doing something else other than becoming a shinobi to earn money, the daimyo would want to find a way to control us from getting too economically powerful?'

'In a way yes, but I think the Hokage agreed to a deal like allowing the Daimyo to command a few of the shinobi force from the village instead of having to form the Guardian twelve. Perhaps he might've allowed the shinobi to be used by the civilian nobility for much less money than previously so that they could always remain safe from any external threats, while the shinobi gain their freedom.'

'Wouldn't that lead to the weakening of shinobi forces and decrease their numbers? And isn't that just basically becoming the Daimyo's guard dogs?'

'No not really, as long as Minato plays his cards right, he will be able to open schools for the recruitment of more shinobi since by becoming a shinobi you can help more people just because you are stronger, since most work is physical in nature, all the stronger people will dominate. And as far as becoming the daimyo's guard dog is concerned, that will never happen or rather the Daimyo's themselves will never let such a thing happen since they would then invite the mixing of shinobi and civilian affairs in their political sphere.'

'You mean to say, that other countries daimyo's might use shinobi to assassinate them?'

'That is true, but look at the bigger picture, if a Daimyo involves shinobi politically then they would have to get involved in the wars they fight in between each other.'

'But wouldn't giving the shinobi economic power do that same thing?'

'No. As long as the Hokage does not himself jump into the civilian political sphere no other ninja can do so behind his back, since he is the head of all ninja in the village. As for how they can guarantee the Hokage won't do it himself, that's simple, because if did, the daimyo could simply stop his support for the Hokage and then allow other ninja villages to finish the leaf village off, they could just open or given them permission to traverse through their land with their own armies during war and the leaf village would become a target inside their own home.'

'That… makes sense?'

'It's just politics. I'm sure the daimyo will always balance the tax to make sure that Konoha does not become richer than the capital of the fire nation. At best it would become the second richest or the second capital. Even high taxes aren't necessary, all that is necessary is to balance the taxes and the number of missions that shinobi receive, if that is done well you can control exactly how many shinobi are part of the shinobi force and how many are just interested in doing business. It is an amazing solution really.'

'It seems simple?'

'Yes, yes. All that's fine and all, now go! Shoo Shoo! I have to test what I've made.'

'Argghhh! Fineeee! As if something will happen if I just look at the silly thing you are doing.'

Only after I felt the connection between Sakura and me break, did I turn my attention to the two identical machines and the suspicious looking paper box covered in seals that connected to both the machines using chakra threads.

A single command passed through my chakra thread into the paper box prompted the two identical machines to spring into action moving the load that was inside of it to various spots on the paper placed under them and started to draw dots and lines on them with toothpicks covered in ink that was slowly being soaked into it by using an ink cartridge stored above it.

Leaving the contraptions running for a few minutes I stopped the machine on my left by breaking the chakra thread that was connected to it using a piece of wood, while the machine on the right carried on.

After the machine on the right stopped naturally, I once again re-connected the machine on the left using chakra threads, it sprang into action and looked like it recalibrated itself for a few seconds before continuing it's task from earlier.

After a few more minutes the machine on the left stopped naturally and I went to both the machines and slid out the paper that was placed inside the two of them.

One paper had the image of Tsuna-nee along with Shizune and the other with Mum, Dad and kid Sakura.

'Yes! A fully functional printer farm system that uses genjutsu to store images and chakra threads to print the images.'

It wasn't an overly complicated printer that could do multi-colour printing.

The most it could do was draw lines for now, but that was enough for what I wanted to do next with all of this.

The printers were synced and controlled by a 'server' which held the 'genjutsu image' that had to be printed, which itself stored the images using seals I had made for genjutsu, but I was sure I could make them all the more efficient and better if I just used storage seals to just store the information directly in chakra within the storage seals instead. But that an optimization for later down the line.

Although storing images as genjutsu was not much different since in the end I was just storing chakra either way, I was sure that something that had had more time to develop in the same field had more for me to learn from.

I didn't want to make these communications wireless just yet, since I was sure that I would be needing the help and support of a whole lot of people if I wanted to get the printing done in any meaningful amount so instead of revealing my hands with wireless tech, I might as well just show them the wired versions first. After all I'm not going to disclose my technology of the printer until I'm forced to, since disclosing this one piece of technology would give away a lot of things that I've researched about. Perhaps if they'd pay me handsomely? Does this world have the concept of patents, if so can I get royalties here?

Perhaps later down the line when I have enough of an advantage to be considered a monopoly then I could reveal the basics of electronics for everyone in the world to see what they were and how they worked. After all someone will have to fix the machines I make so it will get leaked eventually unless they are so cheap that repairing them doesn't make sense?

Now all that remains to prepare for the first book is to make the printers print more printers and then just assemble them to print the books.

"So what you are telling is, that you have to grow a body for Megumi and then you can shift him into it?"

"Yes." Tsuna-nee replied while sipping on some tea from a porcelain cup inside my head.

"Nothing will happen to Sakura in the process right?" Mum worried.

"No, according to everything I've framed nothing should. All you have to figure out now is how you will explain to everyone around you and to the Konoha Hokage office how a new kid popped up and calls you both mom and dad."

"Would it be possible to arrange the procedure outside? Then we could pretend we adopted Megumi from outside the village?" Dad said in what felt like a rehearsed questioning tone, that I choose to keep at the back of my mind.

"What? Why am I the adopted one, Sakura should be the adopted child!"

"Haha! Now you're the adopted kid Megumi! You've got to listen to me now! I'm your boss."

"At least they wanted me which is why they adopted me. You on the other had could as well be considered an accident."

"WHA-"

*PFFFFF*

*PFFTTT*

*PFFFTT*

Mum, dad and Tsuna-nee all three spit the tea they were sipping on after listening to my reply.

"Aren't I right Shizune?"

"Hehe! Sakura-nee is just an accident!"

"No!! Shizune! Not you too! Don't betray me!"

"Haha! You're all alone now! Aren't you Sakura!?"

"Arggg! Just you wait, once we're out of here I'll make sure I beat up your tiny body till you can't get up anymore!"

"Yeah, yeah whatever."

"So, is it possible Tsunade-sama?" Dad asked Tsuna-nee bringing the conversation back on track.

"It should be, I have one house remaining in the capital where we could go for a few days and return before winter sets in if that isn't a problem."

"Tsuna-nee if we are going to be leaving the village, we should all be careful of someone trying to interrupt us."

"Bandits?" Sakura asked.

"No. Danzo."

Sakura's eyes widened for a second but she focused back almost immediately.

"Yes. He's still here and alive in this world, how could I forget!? Do you think he'll try and attack us because Tsunade-sensei is with us?"

"I think so. After all it would be strange for the princess of the Senju clan to randomly meet a civilian family very often to the point of going on a trip outside the village."

"You don't need to worry about that. I've always made sure no one has followed me and Shizune, but taking necessary precautions to protect ourselves isn't necessarily bad. We should leave the village separately and only meet up somewhere in the middle. The way there should be generally safe because Minato has set up missions for ninja to clear the route to the capital to make trade more safe, but just in case you guys should go along with some weapon shipment to the capital since those are always protected by shinobi from the leaf."

"That should be fine. I can arrange for that." Dad explained after a bit of thought.

"Done then, we can all be ready for it after a week then?"

"That should be fine."

"Megumi if you are going to be selling anything to the nobles you might want to prepare a copy for them to try out whatever it is you are going to sell."

"I will, Tsuna-nee! Thank you!"

"Ah! I finally get to wear my Assassin creed blades!" I suddenly shouted just as everyone was going to leave.

I then proceeded to feel a wave of second hand embarrassment for myself for saying such a thing while dad just patted my back and mum along with Tsuna-nee snickered, while Shizune was just holding back her laughter and Sakura was laughing out loud shouting, "Of course they adopted you, it's because you're dumb enough to be a pet."

I looked at the stack of papers in my hand bound into a book with a proper cover page for the entire thing.

The story printed inside of it was actually supposed to be a Victorian era war themed emotional rollercoaster but I had changed everything to fit the world of Naruto, except the story which was still an emotional roller coaster, I had to control myself from crying a couple of times so that I don't let Sakura see me cry over the book.

But that wasn't the only special thing about the book, all the books that were going to be given out to royalty were going to be special, they all had a specific surprise waiting for them when they used the book by inserting their own chakra into it.

'What's the book in your hand about? The girl on the picture looks quite pretty.. Almost like a…'

'Shh…! Don't say it! Mum and Dad are still with you aren't' they! Don't spoil it for them.'

'Arghhh! You and your spoilers. Just tell me if the girl is drawn based on a younger Tsunade-sensei.'

'Huh? What? No.'

'I see. Alright then. Just know that it looks a little like her, not in expressions but in the style if she dressed herself in royal clothes?'

'Maybe.. Well she's the one that's going to be the face of the business anyway, so it's alright.'

'Well up to you.'

'Yea, yea, by the way didn't you think something was suspicious about everything today?'

'What was?'

'Hmm….if you didn't feel anything wrong then nothing was wrong I guess.'

I wonder why exactly they're conducting an operation like this now though..... isn't this risky? Since your opponent knows the future? Why not just infiltrate the enemies lair and attack them there instead of placing such an obvious bait? Have found a way to coverup all of this movement under the guise of something else?

**Kizashi POV**

I couldn't tell anyone about this, but along with my family this week the family of the Hokage would be moving along with us as well.

They would be disguised and would be treated as normal shinobi who were guarding the weapons package that was being delivered to the capital.

The Hokage was personally moving along with us during this trip since we had noticed that the number of bandits had suddenly dropped for some reason.

It could only mean one of two things, either there was a bounty hunter or that the bandits were planning something big.

To make everything seem normal and to set up bait, the Hokage's son and his caretaker were going to be traveling along with us, which I guess has now increased with another one since Sakura and Megumi will be joining us as well.

Initially Mebuki was going to be traveling with us for the delivery as well and was going to protect us from the shadows while we both left Sakura with Tsunade-sama but we found out that Tsunade-sama was going on the trip this time as well since she decided to take up missions once again to pay off her debts.

So all three of us had to play a skit to fool the kids into thinking that we had come up with a plan to distract them from the mission we were all a part off, but I just have a feeling that this was to fool not only the children but the adults as well and that Megumi knows what's really up… it might not have been apparent to other people but I could recognize the look on his face, he looked a little confused about something.
