A new beginning? A Tsundere!?

Everyone was sitting around the floor table in the meeting room inside the house with Sakura still holding Megumi's gloved hand as she sat by his side with Mebuki and Kizashi sitting opposite to them and Tsunade and Shizune on either ends.

Both Megumi and Sakura had dried themselves up using towels as Megumi changed into a new Kimono once again, causing them to freshen up from the somber mood they were in just sometime ago.

"So? Since when did you begin wearing those girly looking gloves?!" Tsunade teased Megumi as she pointed at the white full sleeved gloves that covered his left hand.

No one had noticed the ones on his leg since it was under the table.

"Ah… well…. I kinda have to or else it would freak people out…" Megumi said with a soft little smile as he reminisce the first time he had made a arm out of Gojo's infinity technique for himself and caused Mito to freak out because she found an object floating in front of Megumi, seemingly being controlled by his mind.

The gloves were also things she had gifted Megumi after making them by herself using seals to thread and sew the cloth and stich it all together.

"Have to?" Tsunade raised an eyebrow at his choice of words.

Everyone at first felt that it was meant to cover scars like his face and were about to avoid the topic, but seeing Megumi smiling softly they thought it wasn't a problem to talk about this subject with him.

"Well…."

Megumi softly freed the arm Sakura was holding on to and them slowly rolled down the full arm gloves as much to the surprise of everyone present they found that there was nothing underneath the cloth.

They could clearly see the wall behind Megumi that was supposed to be blocked by his arm.

"What…?" Sakura was the first one to question what was going on since she felt confused and a little shocked as she was just holding the arm and it definitely felt real to her.

"It's a new jutsu I made to protect myself but since I also needed something to help me with my missing arm, I thought it would be helpful if I used it to do this as well."

"No! What happened to your arm!?" Sakura questioned with worry, bringing up the question on everyone's mind at the moment.

"Ah… well…hehe. It got eaten immediately after I was teleported to the place after Tsuna-nee gave me the new body…hehe that was so funny…"

"How can getting your arm eaten be funny!?" Sakura tried to be the voice of reason for everyone in the room.

"I mean… it wasn't then. It hurt like hell especially when I had to cauterize the wound by burning it, but now? Now it just seems silly…. I mean can you imagine a random kid getting mauled by a fire fox after getting teleported to a random forest on an entirely different continent?! That just sounds like a hilarious tale to brag about."

"...."

Everyone faces had several degrees of varying emotions present from which Mebuki recovered the fastest.

"How did you…. Why didn't you contact us after you talked to us the last time five years ago!?" Mebuki asked a little fury seeping into her tone.

"Hey! Mum! It wasn't like I didn't want to! I just couldn't! I was stuck inside this statue with these two old and definitely insane people that only knew how to extort things from me for their own enjoyment! Just remmebering the damn old lady reminds me of how I had to endure staying awake because as soon as I tried to sleep she'd activate her traps to annoy me! While the old man was such a child that he'd keep annoying me about everything I did after he once saw the things I could make! I only broke free a day ago! And the first thing I did was leave and come here as soon as I could! Just because they helped me out a little they expected me to make something so that I entertain them from outside as well which caused me to get delayed by an entire day."

Megumi nodded as he reminisced about what had been done to him and complained about Hashirama and Mito without explaining the context about what had happened which caused all of the people present in the room to misunderstand his sentences to various degrees.

'*gasp* Who are these two people who tortured my Megi for all these five years?'

'Who were the bastards that dared to harm my younger brother!?'

'My son! Don't worry about anything! I will make sure they are found and beaten to death if they aren't already for the things they did to you!'

Mebuki and Shizune were the only one who looked to understand more about the situation before jumping to conclusions and hence questioned Megumi.

"Megumi…who were these two people? Do you know where they are? Can we talk to them?"

"Ah! I was waiting to let them talk to you! Can we all please meet in inside my head again!? I can let you meet them in there!"

It confused all the people as to what the two people who had tortured Megumi were doing in his head and how they were going to meet them but Mebuki agreed anyway.

"....alright."

Mebuki and Shizune held Megumi's exposed hand first and then teleported into his mindscape which brought the remaining three out of their musings leading them to hold his hand and move into his mindscape as well.

Sakura was the last one to do so, but before she did she sneaked a glance at Megumi and then remembered that she had practically confessed to him earlier when she was screaming at what she thought was a hallucination and shouted in a panic "Megi! Don't misunderstand anything about what I told you earlier alright! I don't lo- like you or anything like that! Alright!', before sending herself away with a harsh blush on her cheeks.

Megumi sat there stunned for a second before he shook his head, smiled a little and then proceeded to right everyone's postures by properly leaning them on the table just like he used to take care of their bodies all those years ago.

A sense of nostalgia washed over him as he remembered their last such discussion when they spent time discussing how he and Sakura would get their own bodies.

'Hehe… it's been so long yet so short. But everything is still just the same.'

Megumi then placed himself on the table as well and switched his view to that of his mindscape which was still the simple room from earlier with all the posters.

Sakura was the only one who recognized the room as being the one that she had seen the first time she was here, while the rest just stared at it in confusion until Megumi was here.

As soon as Megumi stepped in, he became embarrassed at his collection of posters on display before waving his hands to switch to a more neutral look in a traditional home located in the middle of a tropical forest.

"Who is it you want us to meet Megumi?" Mebuki asked.

"Yes, where are they Megumi?" Tsunade tapped her fingers across her arms as she held them folded.

"Yep, gimme one second."

Megumi remembered he still had his infinity turned on, wasting his chakra which he might need here to keep the duration of the call he was going to make as long as he wanted to so he left the place for a second.

"I'll be here in a minute, they should appear on the other side of the table in a few seconds so be ready."

A circular seal spread out across from them around the same table they were now all sitting around, before a few voices started to pour through it first as it glowed a little with the lightest of pink colours.

"Sit right! You don't want to lose your respect in their eyes!"

"Like I still have any respect after you released that book about me into the village! I read it you know! Megumi gifted it to me! I saw how you portrayed me as an addicted gambler!"

"I only wrote down the truth. You should also know what's the truth in your heart!"

"....but-"

"-Now…Shh! That thing's glowing green which means that brat will contact us now! Be ready! I wonder if he'll try and trick us this time as well! I'm tired of the goddamn brat and all his antics!"

*BANG* *BANG*

Before the projection could stabalize enough to display their images, Tsunade and Sakura who were both familiar with Megumi's communication seal assumed that this was a similar seal meant just for verbal or sound based communication and hence both puched the table with force as Tsunade began shouting first.

"How dare you call my younger brother a brat! Who ever you're I'll beat you up if you don't reveal your names to me! I'll make sure you get whatever you want, so tell us your demands for leaving him alone!"

The seal on the floor then flickered between pink and green as a projection of two people apeared flickering at first but stabaliing soon after.

Mito and Hashirama ended up looking right at the furious Tsunade because of the seating arrangements which caused her to stop in her tracks as soon as she saw them.

For a few seconds Tsunade's brain stopped functioning as if it needed to be rebooted but then Mito just covered her mouth with her hands and stiffeled her laughter while Hashirama began to laugh out loud without restraint forgetting about what Mito had just told him a few seconds ago.

It brought out the atmosphere from the weird direction it was moving into where everyone recognized Mito and Hashirama to making them now just seemed like normal old people you'd find around your house with nothing better to do than laugh at the plight of the younger generation.

"Haha! Looking at how lively you are I don't need to ask how you're doing Tsuna! It seems that you've moved on to live quite well."

Just then Megumi entered the room once again as he spotted Mito and Hashirama's images projected over the seal.

"Oh! Granny! Grandpa! Can you see everything fine? Is the connection fine? We can see you properly on our end! Can you hear us as well?"

"Perhaps a little too well." Mebuki said in a soft voice audible to everyone.

Mito couldn't contain her laughter anymore as she along with Hashirama began to laugh loudly at Tsunade's plight.

"...huh? What happened here? Why is everyone laughing?" Megumi meanwhile clulessly added on, fuelilng the burning fire that was Tsunade.

*BONK**BONK*

"You bastard! Couldn't you just have told us before!?"

"Arggg! Why the hell are you hitting me!? I forgot that you were such a short tempered person! Goddamn it! Why do I have to get hit randomly!? They're the ones laughing at you! Perhaps they're laughing at your stupidity! Yeah! It is because of your stupidity that you can't even get married! They probably are laughing at you for that!"

*BONK**BONK**BONK*

Having been hit on his head, with three lumps growing out of it, Megumi was now quietly sitting around with a frown on his face, still confused about why he was hit so he voiced himself again, perhaps not having learnt from his punishment just now.

"God damn do older people become crazier? You're exactly as mad as your grandma. No you are old enough to be called a grandma too after all!"

*BONK**BONK**BONK*

"Hit him two more times! Extra! From my side Tsunade!" Mito cheered on since she felt insulted as well.

*BONK* *BONK*

This time Megumi was truly sitting quietly without trying to provoke anyone, or in his words, just speaking the truth.

"So this brat was with you two the last five years, grandma?" Tsunade asked since she was the first and the most direct bridge between the two parties.

"Yes, Tsuna-chan! The brat was living with us the for the last five years!"

"How are the two of you alive? Shouldn't you be dead?" Tsunade asked the question with a little bit of a quiver to her voice as she rememberd some painful memories.

Mito and Hashirama shared a glance as Hashirama carried on.

"We should be dead, at least to the outside world. We had to pretend to do so since I found out about the Sage of Six paths. We had to, so that we could escape his view in the fabric of fates."

"You pretended to die? But how? I remember you falling sick grandpa! And Granma I remember you got older and passed the tailed beast to the next jinchuriki until just a decade ago!"

"Well…It wasn't wrong that I got older, but it was more that, I manipulated my soul to appear to age faster to fool the Sage of Six paths of my demise."

"You guys knew about the Sage of Six paths all the way back then? Why didn't you tell anyone about anything then?"

"You know why we couldn't tell, Megumi told us you came across the same person during your trip to the capital was it?"

Everyone present in the room, except for Megumi, shivered nivoluntaraly at the reminder of what had happened. They all had their own emotions that they had built up around the incident related to the entity or the Sage of Six paths that had caused them to nearly die, simply through the means of speech.

*Clap* *Clap*

"...." As a somber silence picked up in the room, Megumi just clapped along his hands to distract everyone away from the untimely reminder of the enemies power.

"I'm sure everyone is quite eager to catch up, just as I am about what is truly going on! But right now!? Right now I want everyone to be happy first! So why don't we all have fun for a while before going back to the ridiculousness of the world outside!? We all deserve a bit of peace right!?"

"Oh! Are we going to watch another one of those things that you imagined Megumi!? Quickly! I can't wait!" Hashirama immediately jumped on the band wagon, he was a fan of the ACGN culture of the modern twenty first century world, he was probably addicted.

Everyone smiled and nodded their heads after that at which Megumi just transformed the space around them into a large screen theater and began to play another animated movie to his ever expanding audience that treated his head as a sort of entertainment center.

As the lights fell dim, with Sakura seated beside him, Megumi leaned in closer to her face and blew a breath of warm air into her ears and when she shivered he responded while making fun of her, "Don't worry Rura, even though you are my Rura, I don't lo- lo- lo- like you at all, so don't misunderstand. Alright!?" And then continued to turn over and look at the words "How to train your dragon." that came up onto the screen as Sakura beside him blanked out, her face as red as a tomato, with no one to notice due to the darkness.
