Ch 10:- Finding the Truth

Another day began at the the school and like usual he started to make his way towards the canteen to get something in his stomach.

As he reached the canteen queue he noticed that Quinn was standing only 6 people away from him but that is not what he noticed it was the expression that he was making caught his eye as it was quite similar to a sparkly vampire that his mother and sister are very obsessed about.

'Is he suffering from constipation well I will ask him later. ' Rayne thought.

Just then the same boy as yesterday entered who had raided Rayne of all his wealth his name was Rylee. Rylee walked past all the level ones that were in the queue until he eventually reached the spot were Quinn was standing.

"Hey Pipsqueak, you got a problem if

I cut Infront of you?" Rylee asked.

But Quinn was too busy trying to

focus the sounds out from his mind.

"Are you ignoring me? Today is not the day to ignore me." Rylee looked at Quinn's wristwatch seeing the number 1 shine bright on it. Immediately bad memories of yesterdays fight had come into his head and how all he wanted to do was kill the person but that would have to wait for now and Quinn would have to do.

"I said don't ignore me?" Rylee said as he grabbed Quinn by the collar.

But in that instant, Rylee's face was incredibly close to Quinn's. Quinn could hear Rylee's heartbeat. He could feel the blood flowing through his arm and muscles lifting his shirt.

Something had taken over Quinn's body and he immediately hit Rylee's arm away and pounced on him causing the two of them to fall to the ground.

Quinn was now on top of Rylee and had both his hands pinned down.

"Get off me you crazy animal!" Rylee said but when Rylee tried to overpower Quinn and lift his hands, it was impossible. Even his Ability was useless in this situation. His ability only hardened his skin, it didn't make him any more powerful.

Then Quinn started to feel something growing in his mouth. Quinn placed his head just a few inches away from Rylee's neck and was ready. Just as Quinn opened his mouth though, he felt someone pull him by the back of his collar and chucked him off Rylee towards the people in the queue.

"Don't touch one of my boys," Dan said.

Dan was a large man for his age with a muscular build. He didn't look like a teenage boy but more like a bald adult.

"Dan, thank you so much," Rylee said as he stood up from the ground sweating. "You're dead now boy."

As soon as Dan took one step forward though, Vorden stepped Infront of Quinn with Peter.

"Do you really want to cause a problem," Vorden said lifting his arm to show the power level on his wristwatch.

The truth was, Vorden was only bluffing. Vorden's power very much depended on what ability he copied and right now all he had was Peter's level 1 earth ability. If they were to get into a fight here, there was no contest on who would win.

But Vorden's plan seemed to work as Dan decided to back down and take Rylee with him but before Rylee walked off, he signalled to Quinn imitating someone cutting his head off.

"Oh, thank you, thank you, I can't believe that worked," Peter said knowing Vorden's secret.

After the canteen incident the classes played out like usual but through out the whole class Quinn seemed to be on edge. As soon as the bell rang at 12:00 pm signifying lunch time Quinn ran out of the class towards library.

Meanwhile, throughout the class Rayne was getting more and more suspicious of the way Quinn was acting and now he wants to investigate and at that moment a quest got initiated.

Goal: Quinn is acting suspicious for 2 days and his brother thing that he is hiding something from him. Investigate about Quinn!

Seeing this Rayne was stunned because it was the first time he actually received a quest so he immediately accepted it and sprinted out of the classroom to follow Quinn.

After exiting the class Rayne looked around to see if he could spot someone running and he finally spotted Quinn so he immediately sprinted after him during the sprint he received +1 stats in agility.

After running for a while he couldn't see Quinn anymore so he turned towards his left to see the entrance of library assuming that Quinn had entered the library Rayne entered the library and it would be an understatement to say that the library was large because it was super large so he started to tirelessly look for his brother from one corner to another during this time he got another +1 stats in his agility after looking for Quinn in all the section he was now drenched in sweat as he had already pushed his body beyond its limits. He finally arrived at the last section which was the fantasy section he thought that Quinn could not be here as he was not the guy to be interested in fantasy books.

As he was about to turn around and return to his next class a sweet yet metallic smell invaded his nostril it was the smell he knew all to well it was the smell of blood.

Rayne smelling it became cautious and without making a sound entered the fantasy section and he was shocked to see that Quinn was drinking blood from Layla. Seeing Quinn retract his head Rayne quickly hid without making a sound at that time he came to one and only conclusion 'Maybe Quinn is a vampire or he has a vampiric ability that he got from the family book but that brings out another question why did his family had an ability related to vampire in the first place.'

At that time a notification interrupted his thought process.

'So he is indeed a vampire. But the plus side is I actually got an system ability.' Rayne thought as he started to make his way towards the martial arts section of library to see if he could find something useful as he had lost his appetite after seeing his brother munch on an young maiden.

As he was skimming through the books he picked up a book named 'Basic of Taekwondo' even in his previous life he was fascinated by this form of martial arts but couldn't learn it because he had to dedicate most of his time to his studies.

As he started reading the book he immediately memorised everything as all it had was pictorial description about exercises, streachings and the 7 basic kicks and how to perform them. As he finished reading he got a notification.

Goal: Perform 10 minutes yoga, 5 pseudo-pushup, 2 minutes planks, 1 km sprint, 5 km run, 10 side kicks, 5 front kicks, 10 roundhouse kick, 20 jabs.]

"Isn't this to much system I don't think this body could handle this much you know." Rayne said to his system mentally.

[No this is perfectly calculated so there is no chance of error. And this Quest is not optional you have to perform it every day.]

"OK I understand." Rayne said.

Just like that he exited the library and went towards his next class.
