Talk with Yin!

*swoosh* Xuan Yan appeared before a woman of unremarkable features, her brown hair falling in waves around her shoulders. His astonishment was palpable as he exclaimed, "Yin?!" 'Bo Saixi' looked back at him with surprise and joy, her lips curling into an excited smile. "Little Yan?"

Without hesitation, she took a step closer trying to hug him, and this time Xuan Yan opened his arms taking her soft body in a warm tight hug. "Yin!" he called her affectionately "Little Yan!"

Bo Saixi let out a soft sigh relishing the tender embrace savouring the moment she longer for. This is what she wanted to do to him when he first arrived... but she couldn't do that as 'Bo Saixi'.

'I am glad, he didn't forget about me...the Xiu Yin'

Gently pulling away from the hug, Xuan Yan asked with a surprised smile "But Yin.. what are you doing here in Sea God Island..." 

Happiness washed over Bo Saixi's heart looking at his surprised and excited eyes. "Little Yan.." she called him tenderly as her eyes softened.

Xuan Yan again took a glimpse of her outfit and frowned "Purple dress... don't tell me you are actually from the Sea God Island?"

Bo Saixi let out a giggle "Seems like you realized it... En.. I am from here and I was once a purple tier trial taker."

Xuan Yan chuckled in understanding "No wonder you said 'I am from a faraway place...' when I asked about your native back then in the mainland."

Bo Saixi couldn't help but smile constantly as she was so happy right now. 'As I thought, being Xiu Yin is the best to talk with him so casually and friendly.'

She nodded her head "Recently, the High Priestess announced that the Emperor of the Spirit Empire is here in our Sea God Island and he also got recognition from Lord Sea God."

"The people kept talking about him and his women. I became curious too. So I came here, one of the luxurious areas trying to find you. And as I thought, you are here..."

 Xuan Yan smiled "No wonder... you look confused looking around."

Bo Saixi gave a nod smiling "Can we go elsewhere and talk... if the High Priestess finds me here! I may get punished." she felt two pairs of eyes on her from the balcony of the building where Xuan Yan was residing.

"Punishment, heh..." Xuan Yan glanced at Shui Mei and Shui Yue Er on the balcony and waved his hand reassuring them "Well, let's change places!"

In the soft glow of the moon and the gentle caress of the sea breeze, Xuan Yan and Bo Saixi strolled leisurely along the sandy shores of the vast ocean, their ears serenaded by the rhythmic melody of the crashing waves.

Bo Saixi Bo Saixi stole glances at him, looking at him in the corner of her eyes as the moonlight illuminated his handsome face. Noticing her gaze, Xuan Yan smiled "What, Yin?"

 Bo Saixi shook her head, gently brushing a strand of hair behind her ear "It's just that you seem quite different from the last time I met you..."

Xuan Yan's playful smile surfaced "Hoh? I look different...? Maybe because it's been like more than two years since we last met or did I grow even more handsome??"

Bo Saixi couldn't help but giggle "You narcissistic rogue... But it is true that you have become even more handsome." she admitted with a subtle nod.

A soft smile appeared on Xuan Yan's lips "I really missed you in between these years... you suddenly left only with a letter."

Seeing his smile, tenderness filled Bo Saixi's gaze "I also missed you, Little Yan. But I got to see you in the pillars..."

"Oh, you also saw that?" Xuan Yan smiled wryly. Bo Saixi nodded her head "I saw your declaration of war and the war that happened... killing all those Titled Douluos."

Xuan Yan just stayed silent hearing this. A sigh escaped Bo Saixi's lips 'He didn't answer when I asked this question as Bo Saixi...'

"Little Yan, I know are not the type of person who wants to dominate the whole mainland by killing all the Titled Douluos... I know you are not that ruthless."

"Tell me, Little Yan... why all that war? You destroyed those upper clans and Kingdoms. When I first saw you like that, I couldn't believe my eyes."

"There must be some reason, right? Even after the war, you didn't take the Emperor position yourself and gave it to Bibi Dong..."

"I know Little Yan is not a cold-hearted and unreasonable person."

A soft sigh escaped Xuan Yan's lips in response to Bo Saixi's words and he nodded "Well there are certain reasons..."

"One of the main reasons is I wanted to unify the mainland!"

"Hm? Unifying the mainland?" Bo Saixi asked a little puzzled. Xuan Yan looked into her eyes "Yin, what I am about to say is confidential information that only me and some Worships in the Spirit Empire knew..."

Looking at his golden eyes, Bo Saixi gave a firm nod "I will keep it a secret, Little Yan!"

Xuan Yan gave a nod, smiling "Do you remember the Dark Spirit Masters I killed back in the Misty forest?"

Bo Saixi nodded her head "I remember, Little Yan! What about them?"

"That Dark Spirit Masters are not from the mainland."

"Huh? Not from the mainland, then where are they from?" Bo Saixi asked and Xuan Yan spoke looking at her "Yin, there is actually another mainland in the seas as large as our mainland."

Bo Saixi came to a sudden halt, her footsteps frozen in surprise, as her eyes widened in absolute disbelief completely taken aback "L-Little Yan, what? Is this real? B-But..." she stumbled over her words. The information she heard is just so overwhelming for her.

Xuan Yan chuckled seeing her face "It's true. There is another mainland who has already found out about our mainland and they might attack us anytime..."

"And if they truly attacked, their first target would be the Sea God Island which is in their way..."

*gasp* Bo Saixi realized something and looked at Xuan Yan "T-Then the recent attack on the sea and the poison is them?"

Xuan Yan raised his eyebrow "You also know that? Did Bo Saixi announce that too..."

Bo Saixi was startled "Ahm, yeah... the High Priestess said to be careful going to the seas... and said the sea was recently attacked and it may be poisoned."

"Oh!" Xuan Yan nodded his head. Bo saixi sighed in her heart in relief 'I almost gave away...uff. safe!

"Hm, so there is actually another mainland out there..." Bo Saixi muttered as a frown appeared on her face.

Xuan Yan gave a nod "Yeah, that's why I wanted to unify the mainland. If we get attacked someday, we can only defeat them by unifying the forces..."

"But there are already so many conflicts going on in between the forces in the mainland. Some factions in our own mainland may join hands with the enemies to defeat other factions in our mainland. That's why I declared them to surrender to the Spirit Hall and create a single force."

"But those prideful bastards refused it and acted arrogantly. So I had to kill them..."

"And still, I only killed the Titled Douluos, the sect people and kingdom people are safe in the Spirit Empire..."

Hearing all of this, Bo Saixi let out a heavy sigh 'As I thought, he wouldn't do all that war for unreasonable things.'

"You know already, Yin. Only strength rules... that's the rule of this world. So it's natural for Spirit Empire to rule... and my wife Bibi Dong also wished to rule the mainland so I had to do it."

-_- Bo Saixi smiled wryly. For his wife, huh? "How many wives do you actually have? I heard you brought many wives with you... I also saw many red and black lights flickering in the sky that day."

With a thoughtful expression, Xuan Yan took a moment before responding, "Twenty one, perhaps..."

"T-Twenty one? Brat, you are really a chick magnet..." she yelled in shock. Xuan Yan just smiled "As I said once, Yin.. I will admit I have many women and..." he subtly locked eyes with her "Do you remember what I said back in mainland..?"

"Huh?" Bo Saixi's raised her eyebrows in amusement. What he said back on mainland? Is he talking about his love confession?

A subtle blush painted her cheeks and Bo saixi looked away glancing at the sea "H-Hmmm... I don't know what you are talking about..."

Xuan Yan chuckled seeing her reaction "Well, I already confessed to you and you rejected me, Yin. I won't force you to love me back...You gave a clear answer and I respect that."

"So I guess we can continue staying as friends?"

"Huh?" Bo Saixi abruptly turned her head and her eyes trembled in uncertainty and fear "W-Why, Little Yan?" Is he giving up on me?

Xuan Yan sighed faintly "Why you ask? You don't love me, right? And feelings should not be forced..."

"I-I...." Bo Saixi's lips shook, struggling to find the right words to articulate her thoughts. Xuan Yan maintained his gentle smile "See, you are hesitating. I guess it's better for us to stay as friends..."

"U-Ugh..." Bo Saixi looked down and her heart clenched in pain thinking about this. 'I-I can't fall in love... I am the High Preistess.. How can I? right? RIGHT? And Y-Yan...' Yet, her thoughts kept drifting back to Yan, further complicating her inner turmoil.

She seems torn between the duty of her position as the High Priestess, which may prohibit romantic relationships, and the genuine emotions that Xuan Yan's presence stirs within her.

"Haah...hahaha... right? I.. just. yeah, we can stay as friends. Just friends, right? Just friends..." It was as if she was desperately trying to convince herself and her heart ached.

She is grappling with the unspoken complexities of her own feelings and her heart is going through an emotional breakdown seeing Xuan Yan giving up on her.

She raised her head, her moistening eyes meeting his golden eyes and she forced a smile "Little Yan! It is getting late, so I am leaving... we can talk someday later."

As Xuan Yan was about to reply *tap* *tap* Bo Saixi quickly ran from there clutching her palm leaving her mind in wavering emotions.

*swoosh* "Aren't you a little harsh to her, Master?" Ciel appeared beside him. Xuan Yan shook his head looking at the back of Bo Saixi who was running "She is the one who created Xiu Yin, let me play along with her for a bit..."

"Well, let that bitch go... Master~~" Ciel exclaimed, excitedly jumping in his arms. "Haha, Ciel.."

...

*thud* Bo Saixi collapsed onto the softness of her bed, her cheeks stained with tears that flowed uncontrollably. Gripping the pillow with all her might. "Little Yan... Little Yan...you betrayed me..." Her tears moistened the pillow in her hands.

"W-Why did you say you love me? My heart is paining Little Yan..."

"You said you love me, You said you love me... b-but you gave up on me just like that? Why? WHY?!!" 

As tears streamed down her face, her heartbroken voice quivered "You didn't truly love me...How can you give up like that?" she cried her eyes out, her hair changed colors and her usual beautiful face which was now filled with tears appeared.

She took a deep breath burying her face in the pillow "But it's my fault too...I-I should have explained my circumstances to him and my identity...Little Yan..."

"Little Yan..." she raised her head and her eyes fell on the ring on her finger. *swish* A white mask appeared in her palm "Just friends, huh? Are we just friends?"

Even more tears streamed down her cheeks "L-Little Yan, I don't know my own feelings... I am not supposed to fall in love. And now there is Zhuqing..."

"You don't know... but in the last trial, I have to sacrifice... myself."

"I can't be with you after all..."

But suddenly a frown appeared on her face and her eyes widened "Little Yan?" *thud* She hastily got down from the bed and ran to the balcony. 

Standing from the balcony, she looked down at Xuan Yan calling her. "L-Little Yan? Why is he calling me now?"

In a matter of moments, she hurriedly entered the room and proceeded to cleanse her face. She swiftly changed her purple dress wearing a normal dress.

*click* *thud* the sound of the door opening echoed through the quiet night, Bo Saixi made her way towards him, her face adorned with a frown "What happened, Xuan Yan? You are here at this time of the night..."

Xuan Yan gave a nod "Sorry, Bo Saixi for calling you now... but it is quite important."

Bo Saixi raised her eyebrow "Important?"

Xuan Yan smiled "Well, actually I want some information about a person." Bo saixi's frown deepened upon hearing this "About a person? is that person from our Sea God Island?"

"Yeah, her name is Xiu Yin!"

Bo Saixi was startled hearing the name. W- Why is he inquiring about me? M-Maybe he didn't really give up on me after all?

The thought lingered in her mind, stirring a mix of curiosity and hope within her.
