29 Finale : Arjun Vs Duryodhan

The announcement of the finalists, Prince Duryodhan and Prince Arjun, echoed through the arena. The tension in the air was palpable as the spectators eagerly awaited the grand showdown that would determine the champion of the tournament.

Duryodhan, with a determined look on his face, stepped forward. He was fueled by his desire to gain the throne he believed was rightfully his. His formidable strength and determination had carried him this far, and he was even ready to face Arjun if need be.

Arjun, having just concluded his breathtaking duel with Yudhishthir, stood tall and resolute. His victory had been a testament to his extraordinary archery skills. And like Bheem, Arjun also wasn't very fond of Duryodhan and taunted him the moment they stood face to face.

"Greetings big brother Duryodhan, today you have managed to surprise me again and again. Just when I start thinking that you can't stoop lower than this, the next second you prove me wrong. "

"Hmph, don't be too arrogant about your strength Arjun. The battle hasn't even started yet. Let's see if you can still talk later. "

Duryodhan said with an ugly face.

The next moment, the horn blew, signalling the start of the battle.

The atmosphere in the arena grew tense as Arjun wasted no time and unleashed his astra, sending a massive brown balloon hurtling toward Duryodhan. The balloon rapidly expanded, casting a shadow over the battlefield as it approached its target.

Duryodhan, recognizing the impending threat, took a step back, his eyes fixed on the balloon. He knew that Arjun's astras were not to be underestimated, and this peculiar balloon held an unknown danger.

As the balloon neared Duryodhan, he pummeled it with his mace causing it to burst.

But unlike what he expected, it wasn't very difficult to destroy the ballon, it burst with a loud POP very easily. However, instead of water or air, a torrent of sticky, glue-like substance sprayed out in all directions.

It engulfed Duryodhan, adhering to his armor and immobilizing him completely. He struggled to break free from the viscous substance that held him in place.

Arjun, with a hint of a satisfied smile, addressed Duryodhan, "It seems, my dear cousin, that I've managed to put you in quite a sticky situation."

"Hahaha! Hahaha! "

The audience erupted into laughter at the unexpected turn of events. Duryodhan's plan to confront Arjun head-on had backfired, and he found himself in an embarrassing predicament.

Despite his temporary setback, Duryodhan remained defiant. "You may have caught me off guard this time, Arjun, but I won't be defeated so easily!"

With renewed determination, Duryodhan struggled to free himself from the gluey trap, while Arjun prepared for his next move.

As Duryodhan finally managed to break free with his sheer strength, Arjun's next attack had already arrived.

The arrow zoomed in towards Duryodhan at breakneck speed. But Duryodhan also reacted in time and blocked it with his mace.

* boom *

The explosion sent his mace flying out of his hands while Duryodhan himself struggled to remain standing. As it turns out, it was not an ordinary arrow but Paishaca astra, one with explosive missile like effects.

"Argh! "

Seeing this, Duryodhan howled in anger, simply abandoned all defenses and rushed towards Arjun in a straight line since getting close to him and engaging him in close combat is the only way he could defeat Arjun.

After all, Arjun's own attributes weren't very impressive. His strength was mainly dependant on his archery skills and astras' knowledge.

However Arjun also knew this thing very well, and before Duryodhan could get any closer, he directly released Shishira Astra to end the battle once and for all which is a powerful weapon that could manipulate the environment itself.

As the Shishira Astra took effect, the temperature in the arena plummeted rapidly. A chilling cold swept over Duryodhan, freezing the very ground he stood on. Ice crystals formed around him, encasing him in a frozen prison.

Duryodhan's charge came to a sudden halt as he found himself trapped in the icy grip of the Shishira Astra. He struggled to move, but the intense cold had immobilized him completely. His breath turned to mist in the frigid air, and his hopes of reaching Arjun were frozen solid.

Arjun, maintaining his focus, calmly approached his trapped opponent. He looked at Duryodhan with a mixture of determination and compassion. "It seems, brother Duryodhan, that the frost of defeat has claimed you."

The audience watched in awe as Arjun's mastery of astras had once again proved decisive. The battle had come to a swift and unexpected conclusion. Duryodhan, who had hoped to claim victory and the throne, now stood defeated and frozen.

With the tournament's grand finale ending in Arjun's favor, the spectators erupted into cheers, acknowledging the remarkable skill and courage of the Pandava prince.

"Prince Arjun! Prince Arjun! Prince Arjun! "

Guru Dronacharya also proudly stepped forward to officially declare Arjun as the champion of the tournament.

"The citizens of Hastinapur, as you have seen just now, my student Arjun has defeated Duryodhan fair and square, proving that he is the strongest among the Kuru princes.

In fact, I can even boldly say that Arjun is not only the strongest among the Kuru princes but also the strongest warrior in the whole Aryavrat. "

{ * another name for Bharat }

The arena resounded with the deafening cheers of the spectators as Guru Dronacharya officially declared Arjun as the champion of the tournament. It was a moment of immense pride and celebration for the Pandavas and their well-wishers.

Arjun stood tall, his bow in hand, as he acknowledged the cheers of the crowd. His victory was not just a personal triumph but a testament to his dedication and training under Guru Dronacharya. The title of the strongest warrior in Aryavrat was a significant honor, and Arjun had earned it with his exceptional skills and unwavering determination.

"Thank you very much for your praise, teacher. "

Arjun bowed towards Dronacharya.

As the celebrations continued, the Pandava brothers, led by Yudhishthir, approached Arjun. They congratulated him with embraces and expressions of pride. The bond of brotherhood among them was stronger than ever, and they shared in Arjun's victory as a united family.

Kunti, the mother of the Pandavas, watched with tears of joy in her eyes, proud of the son she had raised. The support and love of their mother had played a crucial role in shaping the destiny of her children.

The victory of Arjun not only established his strength but also solidified the Pandavas' position in Hastinapur.

But Aryan knew that this tournament was far from over and another protagonist was about to appear soon. And that's when he'll act.
