3 Chapter 3

Saeki Hiromi nicknamed "Silver Fox", She is the head of the National Defense Force 101 Independent Magic-Equipped Battalion.

Saeki Hiromi has streaks of silver running through her grey hair, but it is her analytical skills that earned her the nickname, "Silver Fox".

Saeki was confused,when she got a call from Yamato Saegusa telling her about calling in old debt and this was a very serious issue.

Saeki Hiromi is a very cautious person who believes that being overly dependent on the Ten Master Clans for national defense is very dangerous. She is extremely critical of the Ten Master Clans, but she doesn't have any emotional opposition or hatred against magicians in general.

Major General  Saeki Hiromi established the Independent Magic-Equipped Battalion with the aim of having a magic-equipped military force independent from the Ten Master Clans and fears that the National Defense Force is relying too much on them, a private entity. The Independent Magic-Equipped Battalion carries all the characteristics of black-ops.The current Commander-in-Chief of the battalion. is Lieutenant Colonel  Kazama Harunobu. 

Only the Independent Magic-Equipped Battalion's command structure allows for soldiers during active duty to not be restricted by the military's ranking system, yet still manage to maintain their right to participate on the front lines. Although called as a battalion, it is only the size of two companies. The majority of the troops in the battalion are Magicians who use Ancient Magic, On some level, all the soldiers are considered lab rats for magical experimentation, but they aren't ashamed of being members of the battalion. 

Saeki questioned, "Why did you bring me here old man?"

A tick mark appeared on Yamato's forehead, but he was able control his emotion and sliding over the iPad and saying"We have very unique individual on y look our hand and we called you here make sure everything about him is sealed."

Saeki narrowed her eye, but then watched the video and read the report.Let's just say she quickly understood, why this was serious.

Yamato looking at Saeki seriously said"I know you are establishing a Independent Magic-Equipped Battalion with the aim of having a magic-equipped military force independent from the Ten Master Clans and I know you fear that the National Defense Force is relying too much on us, who are a private entity.I agree with you,if the National Defence force rely on is too much,they won't get strong themselves."

Saeki frowned,but nodded and asked"What do you want from me?"

Yamato replied, "I want you to take this boy and train him in your battlion.I am asking you this because Yotsuba family is slowly gaining more power to act alone without the need for the other Ten Clans.If this was during the time,when Genzou was the head I wouldn't have any issues.But the present head is not the same Maya Yotsuba is one to need control over everything."

Saeki nodded,she knew currently, the magic group with the most power in Japan isn't the Nation Defense Force, but actually the Yotsuba Family.The existence of the Yotsuba Family lay in the entirely opposite direction. Right now they were subservient to the Japanese government, but if they suddenly morphed into terrorists, they were held as individuals who could pull the trigger on World War IV. On the magic side, for such a zealous organization, they were not raised up as something worthy of respect, but of complete and utter fear. 

Saeki was now serious and asked"So you want to oppose her and keep them in check?"

Yamato nodded and replied"I have a feeling they will grow more in future,if we don't do something."

Saeki decided to join Yamato in this,but she was also excited and curious about the boys powers.

By using their magic as soldiers, officers, and administrators, the Ten Master Clans are the forefront supporting group of the country. Most of the Modern Magicians in Japan choose this path. 

While they don't stand in the center of politics nor have the power on paper, they gain inviolable ascendance on the other side of politics—in exchange for their invaluable support.
