53 Teasing Voldomort

Agustus appeared before Ron, who lay unconscious, blood staining his clothes, a deep cut visible on his leg.

After healing him, Agustus apparated Ron to his room and leisurely looked around. The chess game had played out differently this time.

[Agustus's POV]

Upon healing Ron, I materialized in a room where Potter lay half-dead on the ground, and Quirrell had obtained the stone. But before he could escape, I snatched the stone from his hand.

Observing the surprise on his face, I couldn't help but chuckle. As I closely examined the legendary Sorcerer's Stone, I felt disappointment; the stone exhibited no interest in me. Immortality and wealth were already mine, and I possessed the power to bestow such gifts upon my loved ones.

I briefly thought of destroying the stone then and there, but Voldemort might flee without confrontation.

"Peverell, give that stone back to me. You don't know what you're dealing with," Quirrell demanded.

" please, forgive me! I didn't know it was you, Professor. Granger told me about a dark wizard entering Hogwarts to steal this stone, so I mistook you for a dark wizard," I pleaded.

Quirrell gave a toothy grin and said, "You're a wise boy, Peverell. I always admired your talent in magic. You could become a powerful wizard. That spellwork was wonderful; it took me by surprise. 100 points to Slytherin."

I struggled to suppress laughter at his arrogant expression. He thought I was buying his poor acting.

He looked at me again and asked for the stone once more. "Give me the stone. The dark wizard is very powerful; he might attack you. I will keep the stone safe with me. Dumbledore is not in Hogwarts, so it has to be me to do this."

His hands shook a little, presumably from nervousness about being found out. This was getting so much fun.

I began walking towards him, holding the stone in my hand. He visibly relaxed, thinking he was finally getting his stone back.

As I reached near him and extended my hand with the stone, he raised his hand, anticipation evident in his eyes. But when he tried to grab the stone, his fingers passed through it. He couldn't touch it.

He looked visibly confused and tried again, then again. Was he enjoying this? He must have lost too many brain cells at this point.

I couldn't help but laugh at his futile attempts to grab the stone. Seeing me laughing, he snapped out of his little game and focused on the stone again.

"You! You're mocking me. This is serious! Time is of the essence; students may die because you thought of playing a sick prank on me. Those damned twins and you never come out of playing, do you?" he exclaimed, panicking.

The jig was up, but he couldn't help taking another shot. Seeing nothing work, he showed his true colors.

"Fine, now I'll have to force you to give me the stone," he declared.

Intimidation wouldn't work on my younger self. Returning him an amused smile, I replied, "Please spare me, oh great Professor Quirrell. I would die listening to you stutter through a spell."

" haha," Potter laughed, having regained consciousness quickly. I apparated him out of the room, sensing the situation escalating.

Quirrell's face turned red, surprising me, as he was usually pale. I surmised his anger had invigorated him, like a dying candle flaring brightly.

Then, another voice addressed me. "Heir Peverell, I've heard great things about you. We are quite similar, both orphaned heirs of ancient noble houses. Join me, and I'll grant your every desire. The world will be ours. Give Quirrell the stone, and serve me, for I am the great Dark Lord Voldemort."

Quirrell removed his turban, revealing Voldemort's snake-like face on the back of his head.

"Well, well, what do we have here? Voldemort, you say? How have you fared since being defeated by an one-year-old? The greatest dark wizard of all time? What a joke" I mocked.

Quirrell began to tremble, Voldemort's face disappearing as he took control. His demeanor shifted, his smile becoming vicious.

"There's no good and evil, only power, and those too weak to seek it. As a Slytherin, I offered you a chance to pledge allegiance, but you disrespected my generosity. Now, suffer," Voldemort proclaimed, unleashing magic that oppressed the surroundings, reminiscent of the pressure I felt in Dumbledore's office during my first year.

I scoffed at his display of power. "Avada Kedavra," he uttered predictably.

How dull. I deflected the spell with my Elder Wand, prompting widened eyes from Voldemort. I sighed; too much power made everything mundane, yet I'd choose it over weakness any day.

"How is that possible?" Voldemort stammered.

[POV ends]

'This is absurd,' Voldemort thought. 'I've fought hundreds of wizards during the first war. How can he deflect an Unforgivable?'

Maintaining his arrogance, Voldemort launched a barrage of dark spells at Agustus.

'Well, this is becoming tedious,' Agustus thought, deftly dodging the onslaught.

"Come on, Riddle. I expected more of a challenge," Agustus taunted, dodging yet another set of dark spells.

Quirrell's eyes turned red, his body shaking as he demanded, "How do you know that name?"

Amused, Agustus replied, "Everyone knows about you, Tommy boy."

Enraged, Voldemort tapped into Quirrell's life force, unleashing a powerful Fiendfyre spell, his last resort.

As the flames consumed Agustus, Voldemort laughed triumphantly, gloating, "This is your fate for daring to oppose me. No one disrespects me and lives to see another day. Burn!"

But as the fire raged, it suddenly vanished, leaving Voldemort dumbfounded.

Agustus stood unscathed, boredom evident on his face. "Yes, right, definitely."

With a few Stupefys, Quirrell's body decayed, and Voldemort fled the scene, vowing, "This isn't over, Peverell. You will meet a gruesome end beneath my power."

[Tonks House- same day]

"So, how's life been since we last talked?"

Andromeda asked her sister, Narcissa.

"Fine, except for all these letters flooding in for Agustus because of that deaging spell. Some even asking for the magic. My husband is in demand. Miss him. Why's he gotta run off to Hogwarts when he knows it all?" Narcissa griped, frustrated.

Andromeda sympathized, smiling at Narcissa's annoyance with the letters and her love for Agustus."Alright, hang in there. Just two more weeks till he's back. Did you meet Hela?" Andromeda asked, changing the subject.

"Yeah, seems like she's cooking up something for him," Narcissa replied casually.Andromeda sighed, a hint of worry in her eyes. "Hmm, just make sure you don't get outdone by her."

Narcissa smirked. "Don't worry, sis. We're tight, and he loves my rear more than hers."

"You can't just say that!" Andromeda exclaimed, surprised by her sister's boldness.

Narcissa shrugged. "It's true."They shared a smile. Andromeda's expression turned a bit sad as she said, "It's just Bella now. Old Bellatrix would've been all over Agustus, probably married him before going off the deep end."

Narcissa, though a little sad, replied, "She's a murderer, Andy. I can't do that to him."

Andromeda looked at Narcissa and said, "Really, Cissy? You think the little sister you played dolls with was a killer?"

Narcissa remembered Bella and said, "Andy, you know that was in our childhood. She changed after she joined that bloody Knights of Walpurgis bullshit."

"Yes, she changed drastically. She was a battle maniac, we know that, but our sister was not a killer."

'There must be something that had happened to her there maybe he could help her' thought Narcissa.

Narcissa nodded at that and smiled a little. "She was battle-crazy, used to duel every day with Uncle Orion in her first year."

Andy laughed and said, "Yes, and she lost every time. She looked so cute when she sulked about losing in the living room."

"Yeah, she's as nuts as him. But he's the good kind of crazy compared to her." Said Narcissa.

With a nod and a glance, they silently agreed that Agustus would have his hands full when he got back from Hogwarts.
