15 Dora's feelings

(25 December 1989) Tonks Household

Agustus was seated at the dinner table with Tonks' family, clad in a simple yet classy white shirt and black trousers. He exchanged a smile with Dora, who wore the locket he had given her.

"Thanks for the dinner invitation, Aunt Andromeda. It was delicious," Agustus expressed his gratitude.

Andromeda pouted, replying, "You're always welcome here, Agustus. You shouldn't need an invitation. I am your guardian, and from next Christmas, you'll be helping me prepare dinner. If you don't, I won't mind disciplining you," a sharp glint in her eyes warned of a formidable consequence.

Quickly nodding, Agustus said, "Of course, Aunty. No need to say that twice."

Andromeda, satisfied with his agreement, smiled and patted his head, saying, "That's better." Dora and Edward couldn't help but laugh at Agustus's reaction.

Seeing Dora laughing, Andromeda said to Agustus, "Do you know, Agustus, Dora was talking about you in her sleep. She was..." "Enough, Mom! I'm going to my room!" Dora interrupted Andromeda and ran upstairs, her hair colour changing to pink. Seeing her embarrassed like this, Agustus and Andromeda smiled, while Edward felt a pang in his heart.

As the evening came to an end, Agustus stood up and thanked Andromeda and Edward again for the dinner and went upstairs to say goodbye to Dora. As he opened her room's door, he could see Dora's red eyes. He suddenly hugged her, which surprised Dora, and she said, "Idiot, what are you doing?" To which Agustus replied, "If you don't tell me why you were crying, I won't let go of you." Dora tried to use her strength to break free from Agustus' hug, but she couldn't.

Dora said, "Idiot, I don't understand why I feel so good and safe when you're with me. I don't know why. I never cared about my looks, but when you see me, I become anxious. What is happening to me, Agustus?" She started crying at that point, hugging him back.

Agustus understood that Dora's feelings for him and said, "I feel the same, Dora, since I first saw you. And you will always be beautiful in my eyes, alright? When you talk with your mom, you will know what you're feeling. And after you understand this, just know this: I love you too." Agustus let go of Dora and said, "I'll see you at the Hogwarts train." Dora just nodded and buried her face on her bed.

As Agustus descended, he saw Andromeda and Edward conversing. Andromeda smiled while Edward teared up.

"So, you love my daughter, huh, Agustus? You're going to call me Mother from now on, or I won't give you my daughter," she declared triumphantly.

She always wanted a son now she had one, she was really happy tonight.

Agustus smiled, accepting, "Alright, Mother," and then turned to Edward, saying, "I'm not gonna call you father, sorry mate."

Fuming, Edward was about to retort and deny him giving his girl to this boy when Andromeda intervened, "Couch for the next 10 years."

Facing the consequences, Edward gritted his teeth, advising, "Take care of her. If you hurt her, I'll die trying to beat your ass."

Agustus hugged Andromeda, shook hands with Edward, and said, "Alright, father-in-law, I got it. Mother, See you both at the station." Andromeda squealed with joy, while Edward sighed in defeat.

Edward understood there is no better guy for his girl so he reluctantly accepted Agustus as his son-in-law.

Creating a portal with the Power of Destruction, Agustus destroyed the space between Drakul Manor and Tonks' household. Waving a final goodbye, he disappeared into the portal.

With Agustus gone, Andromeda headed upstairs for a mother-daughter talk with Dora.

Agustus stepped out of the portal and watched it close behind him. He had invented this space travel technique to save time. He could travel anywhere in the world, as long as he had the coordinates of the place in his mind.

It was not that hard for Agustus to create this technique, it was all about the correct calculation of desired place's coordinates and destroying space between them. After portal closes the space fixes itself.

Agustus had a daring (it's not) plan for tonight. He was going to rob the Gringotts bank, the most secure vault in the wizarding world. Nothing could stop him and no one would suspect him.

Dora's birthday was coming in January (in canon it was October, but whatever). He wanted to give her something special, something that would show how much he loved her, after all, she now knows about her own feelings.

He thought for a long time and finally found the perfect gift for her. What could be more special for a Hufflepuff than Hufflepuff's Cup?

It was a magical item created by Helga Hufflepuff, one of the four founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was a small golden cup with two finely-wrought handles and a badger engraved on the side. The badger was the symbol of Hufflepuff House.

He knew Dora was not a materialistic girl and she would cherish any gift he gave her but he wanted the gift to be special.

The cup was also one of the Horcruxes of Voldemort. A Horcrux was an object that contained a fragment of a wizard's soul, making them immortal. Voldemort had split his soul into seven pieces and hidden them in different places. To kill him, one had to destroy all the Horcruxes first.

Agustus saw this as an opportunity to simultaneously present Dora with a meaningful gift and dismantle one of Voldemort's horcruxes. It would be his second horcrux destruction; he had already eliminated one during his time at Hogwarts.

The thought struck him after a session of flying and dodging exercises. Curiosity led him to experiment, yielding surprising results. Now, with a purpose in mind, Agustus embarked on his adventure, aiming to hit two birds with one stone – a memorable gift for Dora and a blow against the Voldie's fake immortality.
