"Bring it on." I said preparing to cast normal [Thunder Bolts].
"You can also use normal sword." Merlin allowed me to use the normal sword mainly because of mana capacity and slow mana regeneration restrains, he has placed on me.
I tried to multicast 10 [Thunder bolts] at once and kill the nearest beast but only 8 [Thunder bolts] descended from the sky, which I think is my limit.
All 8 beasts were struck perfectly on heads and there body fell and disappeared but all 42 beasts charged at me at the same time.
I once again used [Thunder Bolts] on the group of beasts indiscriminately, but they have learned from there mistake and dispersed far and wide from each other making me hard to target them.
I used my second spell [Lightning field] when the beast came in the range of 10 meter and their movement froze but the mana consumption increased, ignoring the mana consumption I manifested a normal sword and pierced the heads of 4 beasts one after another.
As I have learned before, instead of attacking, I used mana to strengthen my hands and feet's and started running away from beasts, while attacking them one at a time so that my attack won't miss because the mana reserve merlin has given me was not enough to kill 50 beasts.
I kept running, attacking with mana spell and sword and after 5 minutes of intense fighting and losing an arm, I was able to kill all 50 beasts.
"It was more difficult than I thought." I said.
"It was impressive considering you were afraid of pests in your previous life." Merlin said.
"You have celestial beings to thank for that, I have learned many useful survival tactics in the 3 day long trial of gods." I said.
"That is true." Merlin said looking at me with pity.
"What do you think merlin, how much mana, my body will be able to hold, once I have evolved?" I asked.
"The mana capacity of a person increases as he grows but it also depends on the beast you have merged with.
In your case it is different because dragons are called master of mana and they can utilize mana not only in their core but present in their surroundings.
It is very difficult for people of this world to manipulate the mana in their surrounding until they have attained the ethereal physique but as you have merged with dragon's core, you will be able to control the mana from your surrounding with difficulty of course." So I won't have to worry about running out of mana, once I have evolved.
It was certainly fascinating, because I will be able to use the ability which was reserved for the person, who has evolved his physique to ethereal stage.
"I have evaluated your magic talent; now let's see how good you are with sword." Merlin said and I sat down once again to learn some sword techniques.
Browsing through the familiar cube containing the void reaper sword art module soon I found a technique compatible with me which was Rank 1 [Nova octave].

I watched the tutorial for 10 minutes and understood why this sword art was most compatible with lightning affinity user, which is because the speed and precision it required cannot be imitated by other affinity users.
A perfect hit will live a star shaped wound on the opponent's body which will seal his blood points paralyzing his body part.
"I am ready." I said to merlin and stood up in my place ready to test the newly learned sword art.
"Merlin, the system description said that other than mana, I can use aura to perform the attack but what is aura?" I asked.
"The concept of forming core center and merging with beast core is foreign to this planet and it was introduced in this world by outsiders such as you, but before core center existed the native of this planet used to rely on aura to fight against the beast's and other threats.
In order to manifest aura, one needs to have strong body and soul." Merlin said.
"Aura is a latent ability dormant within every living being on this planet and can only be awakened and strengthened as host fights and kills other living beings." Merlin explained.
"It is pretty dark power." I said looking at its conditions.
"On this planet, the people with weak affinity to mana rely on aura because it has the potential to rival the power of mana.
You can use aura to cover your body or weapon and it can also be used as long ranged attack if your control over aura is excellent." Merlin explained and I was shocked to find one more power equal to that of a mana, which can give me edge in future battles.
"Sorry to disappoint you, but aura can only be manifested and used in real world because no matter how much you practice it in SOC, it won't help you with your real body, therefore we will focus on training your mana." Merlin said.
"For now try to imbue your sword with mana and successfully defeat these 10 beasts." Merlin said manifesting 10 lizards like beast, I poured mana into my sword and the sword was covered with intense lightning crackles.
The fight started immediately and without even a scratch I killed all 10 beasts.
After killing all 10 lizard like beast, I learned 1 movement art [Quick step] and another rank 2 sword art [Sword chain].
With the combination of [Nova octave], [Quick step] and [Sword chain] I was able to finish the next trial of merlin which consisted of defeating 50 beast's easily, and it brought us to the final magic spell module.
"Now that I have evaluated your magic spell and sword talent, there is only one and most important thing left for us to review and that is the final magic spell module, [Draconic spell module]." Merlin spoke in heavy tone.
