Merlin said while my ears rang continuously with a whistle like sound and there were bruises on my little hands and feet because of our rough landing which started to heal as soon as they appeared and the pain vanished within seconds.

"This body is amazing." I said amazed to see my wounds regenerate because ordinarily it would have taken few days to heal if I was in my previous body.

"Wait till you start your training and figure out more quirks about your body." He said and my hopes shot through the roof of a cave we were in.

"So you said something about the using Fate point and upgrading me, what do you have in mind?" When I mentioned about upgrade various windows appeared before me.

"So what is with this???, Can't you at least tell me the name of hidden tabs?" I asked.

"No" He replied right away.

"Let me explain you all the tabs of the shop window." He said.

"The skill tab is further divided into magic spells, weapon arts and latent abilities. There are magic spells and weapon arts I have collected from different planets on my journey and if you can pay the Fate points I will transfer their knowledge to you, on the other hand latent abilities are the skills which lie dormant within human body and I can help you awaken them as you level up." Merlin explained the first [Skill] tab.

"The weapon tab will let you buy weapons from me which I have collected on my journey of different planets." Apart from a god's hunter, adventurer and guide he is also a collector.

"The 3rd tab familiar will let you make a contract with a magical being residing in the land of gods; they are powerful beings who lives in the land of gods and make contract with mortals of lower realm in exchange of Fate points.

You can summon them if you ever need help but remember they consume lot of fate points and their powers are restricted in the lower realm proportionate to the power of their host and if you are stronger than them, they will be summoned at their full strength." So I can also have a powerful pet by my side this world is sounding more and more like those fantasy novels I have read in my previous world.

"Before explaining the 4th tab let me give you a summary of lower ranked physiques." Merlin said.

"As the name suggest, the 6th ranked mortal physique is the physique with which every mortal is born but there are few exceptions such as you. There are certain conditions a mortal has to fulfill if he wants to evolve his physique to 5th ranked transformation physique.

First condition is that the human should be able to sense and absorb mana from its surrounding instinctively. When he reaches this level of mastery of mana his body starts to change from inside and develop a core center, it is not an actual core.

A core is a type of a storage device inside the body of the beasts of this world, where they store their abilities, soul and consciousness and their 'beast core' is the second ingredient needed to evolve from mortal physique to transformation physique.

When the human has formed the core center inside their body they consume the beast's core and place it inside their core center. After the core is settled in the core center it starts to merge with host's body and the human goes in hibernation for a long time until the core has completely merged with human body.

The duration of hibernation depends on many factors such as talent and physique of the individual who have consumed the core as well as which rank core the person has consumed, beast are also ranked between 1-12 on this planet." Merlin finished his theory which was quite interesting to hear and I understood the reason how demon king was able to transform into a black dragon.

"Can I also transform into a dragon in the future?" I asked.

"After finishing your hibernation you will be able to use the portion of abilities of the beast with whom you have merged but in order to achieve the full transformation you have to defeat the beast's consciousness sleeping inside his core.

The beasts are not some mindless creature that will let the other races take benefit from their core and thus they store a part of their consciousness inside their core and once someone attempts to evolve their physique from rank 5th transformation physique to rank 4th radiant physique the beast's consciousness awakens from its slumber and they fight to take control of the body from its owner." Merlin said.

"So if I want to achieve full transformation like demon king Lucifer, I have to defeat the beast's consciousness but aren't they too powerful while we humans only know spells up to rank 4 at that stage?" I asked.

"The beast's consciousness it not as powerful as its real soul but it cannot be underestimated either." I understood the meaning behind merlin's word because the fight ahead of me will be far difficult than defeating a mere beast's consciousness.

"The beasts are already dead when the core is removed from their body and this is their one last effort to come back to life therefore they will do everything in their power to defeat you and if they don't find a way to kill you, they will take you with them to afterlife therefore it is necessary that you possess overwhelming strength when the time comes." The beasts were a lot more intelligent than I thought.

"I understand, thanks for explaining it to me merlin but I already have an immortal physique so how can I go backwards and merge with a beast core?" I asked.

"Due to your immortal rank physique you already have core center inside your body lying dormant, once you learn a spell to sense and absorb mana, it will activate on its own, after that we will proceed with the selection of suitable beast core for your body." Merlin said.

"In this world every living being is only able to merge with one beast core but I have a ancient core center creation art with me which will allow you to make as many core center as your body allows, even demon king Lucifer has only one core center." Merlin said and my eyes lit up with just a thought of being able to surpass the demon king in something.

"But why didn't you give him this technique?" I asked.

"Because I didn't possess it at that time, the skill I am going to share with you is created by me after studying countless ancient arts." He said.

"And it is a good thing I didn't possess this skill at that time otherwise it would have been more difficult to defeat him." He said with a tinge of anger and guilt in his voice.

"I just want to assure you that I will rather die than think of abandoning you." I said because there is a chance that merlin still have his doubts about my resolve.

"I have learnt my lesson Eric and the situation that happened with demon king Lucifer would never repeat itself because I will take precautions this time." Merlin said and a holographic screen opened in front of me.

"A mana contract is a contract in which two individual mutually agree to fulfill some conditions and if one person betrays other than the person who broke the condition of mana contract will lose its ability to wield mana forever and live a life of mortal." Merlin said and I started to read the mana contract.

i) Eric and Merlin should never reveal each other's secrets to anyone without mutual consent.

ii) Eric and Merlin should never betray each other.

iii) Eric and Merlin both have freedom to split up if any one of them desires.

iv) Eric and Merlin will both help each other to the best of their abilities to achieve their goals.

v) Eric and Merlin with mutual consent can add/less/edit any given condition of the mana contract having unique ID: *&%^%$#$@!*

Reading the condition of the contract it sounded more like a marriage contract than mana contract but the condition written were not in any way unfavorable to me therefore without hesitation I pressed.
