Draconic spell module

"Before you start to learn [Draconic spell module], let me brief you about dragons, which will help you understand their spells and your limitations much better." Merlin said and I nodded.

"As you already know dragons are the most powerful being only second to gods and they are the existence, whom no mortal can hope to reach.

But that is not because they are loved by mana or universe has given them any extra gifts but because their progenitor held that much more power than your progenitor.

If you ask my opinion the gap between you and mortal dragons is the difference between dragon god zenith and normal celestial beings." I was shocked to hear how powerful the dragon god was and why his descendent dragons were this powerful.

"According to me, Dragon god zenith doesn't belong to any faction because he doesn't gain fate point from either humans or demons.

The only species that provide fate point to dragon god zenith is dragons.

In this known mortal realm close to 30 percent of planets are occupied by forces of dragon gods i.e. dragons and I don't know how many apostle he have in mortal realm.

Previously I said he doesn't belongs to any faction because he never involves himself in the fights of celestial being or demon gods and no other faction try to mess with him.

But he has some close ties with few celestial beings on the other hand he despises demon gods." Merlin said.

"But I thought we can only find dragons in the land of gods." I said.

"Just like how other celestial beings have angels as their subordinates, dragon god has selected some powerful dragons as his apostles and keeps them in land of dragons which is in upper realm, but most of his descendent lives in mortal realm." Merlin said.

"The main source of power of dragons is their strong physique, which cannot be harmed by an attack which is less than rank 8, and their 'dragon core' but dragon themselves refer their 'core' as 'dragon heart' to distinguish themselves from beasts.

All species are born different in this vast universe but what they have in common is opportunity to grow and surpass those superior to them.

If you put enough efforts and receive right guidance and resources, even you can surpass dragon god zenith." Merlin said some encouraging words to broaden my view and it made me more excited to learn the draconic spells.

"The things which you are about to learn is too early for you to learn but equally important due to many reasons.

You can learn and practice them in the SOC as much as you want but I would prefer if you avoid using them in outside world until you have completely merged with the Vampire progenitor core.

You have acquired one of the two thing required to surpass the dragons and that is the Dragon core but you don't have compatible body to use the core to its true potential.

Draconic spells will put a heavy toll on your mortal body and backlash of using it might even kill you." Merlin said and I understood that a human should not mess with the power which is not meant for him.

"Vampire progenitor has the regeneration ability which even surpasses dragon king Noob, and when you have successfully merged with his core, even if you cast spells above rank 10, at least your life won't be in danger." Merlin said.

"Are those spells that powerful that it will kill me?" I asked curiously.

"Yes, I have seen many mortals learn and use draconic spells with their weak physique and it shortens their life and destroy their foundation slowly chipping away their life and thus making them weak instead of strong." Merlin explained his reason and I nodded that I will not be able to cast draconic spells in outside world for a long time.

"If you have understood my warning, then Let us start with the training for [Draconic spell module]." Merlin said and I opened [Draconic spell module] inside my head.

I browsed through the information in the cube and only found 12 spell out of which 8 were surrounded in black fog, which meant I can only learn 4 of them. I willed for the weakest of them all to come forward and a golden scroll advanced toward me and started integrating with my brain.

It took 6 hours for my brain to absorb the information in the scroll and another 10 days for me to gain the understanding of the spell.

When I compared the information of the spell with the [Lightning spell module], I found a slightly weaker but similar spell which was an Rank 12 spell, which was way out of my current capabilities.

The spell that I learned from [Draconic spell module] was [Meteor Shower].

When I opened my eyes merlin was floating few feet away from me his golden eyes closed but sensing my movement he opened them and looked in my direction.

"Took you long enough." Merlin said.

"The spell was equivalent to rank 12 spell." I said.

"That was to be expected." Merlin said manifested a 50 kilometer long and wide city.

"I have released the limitation placed on your mana capacity but before you try to cast the spell let's make little changes." Merlin said and something within my body started to change.

Four curved golden horns appeared on my head, my skin started to manifest golden scales and my body started to get filled with the power and vitality, I have never felt before.

I manifested a mirror in front of me and saw teeth grow out of my mouth and two 10 feet wide golden wings grow on my back.

"You can't cast draconic spell in your human form or you will face the severe backlash, even if you are in your sea of consciousness." Merlin said but I ignored his words and looked in the mirror bewitched by my own appearance.

"Is this how I will look?" I asked merlin.

"Not exactly, but somewhat along those lines." Merlin replied.

"Ok, here goes my first rank 12 spell and I am going all out." I said trying to cast the normal rank 12 spell to see his destructiveness and exactly 30 second later from the black sky blue meteor like electric spears fell blinding everything in my view.

They descended on the 50 kilometer long and wide city not leaving even a centimeter of area unscathed and at the same time I fell from the sky to the ground feeling the backlash of magic spell coughing blood.

I couldn't even see the aftermath of my own spell because my eyes closed shut and I fell unconscious because of pain.

I opened my eyes once again and the pain once again assaulted my whole body, making me paralyze but using my will I erased the pain and wounds from my body and returned back to my humanoid form.

"It was 100 times more painful compared to when those angel bastards extracted my soul from my original body." I said but merlin ignored me and kept looking at the city.

Soon I turned toward the city and found why merlin was so mesmerized by the aftermath because the place where a city was situated before, now there was nothing but stream of lava swanned.

"You didn't overcharge it or add fate point into it, right Eric?" Merlin asked me still staring at the ruined city.

"Yes, it was a normal and weakest spell, out of all 12 spell but even then my body hurts like hell." I replied.

"You just died." Merlin said and I was bewildered by his words, but it was just an illusion so I brushed it off.

"Dragon king Noob has prepared the weakest draconic spell for you of rank 12, I think defeating him will be more difficult than I thought." Merlin's word brought my attention to the real problem which was pestering him.

"Let's not worry about that, now that I have evaluated your magic and sword talent, we will start your training for real." Merlin said but his word sounded more like torture than training.
