21 Consuming Core

"There are two ways to increase your soul force, first is to let it increase naturally as you grow and the second is to absorb others soul." Merlin said.

"There are abilities which allow you to drain others soul from their bodies and you can even eat core of other species to increase your soul force.

The core you are going to merge with belonged to an entity whose soul force was tens of billions in his prime and after you have subdued and absorbed his consciousness, your soul force will increase tremendously, same goes for the consciousness of vampire progenitor, when you defeat and merge with him." Merlin said and I rejoiced.

"You can also purchase beast cores of powerful beings from me to increase your soul force but that would be waste of fate points." Merlin said and I agreed.

"No, I will hunt for the beast cores myself." I said.

"That is good, now that you have learned the SOC skill; you are ready to merge with the [Divine thunder dragon core]." Merlin said.

I exited the SOC just by sending will to my brain and I was out of SOC.

Soon the space around me started to distort and a fist sized golden orb surrounded by thick black shadow came out of distorted space and landed in front of me.

The core was shrouded by black fog while radiating golden rays and electric arcs from time to time.

"Eat it, close your eyes and guide him to the core center near your heart." Merlin voice resounded in my head and I did what he told.

I opened my mouth wide and gulped the cores at once, after that I closed my eyes and guided the orb to the core center near my heart and it followed my will without any resistance.

The shadow around orb saved the lightning arc from harming my insides and once it settled in the core center the lightning crackles intensified around the core and in response to those crackles vain started to come out of my core center and covered the whole core.

"Now what?" I asked merlin.

"…" Merlin didn't reply but I felt a jolt of pain piercing every cell in my body and blood started to leak from my skin but it quickly healed because of my immortal physique.

"Endure it." Merlin said and soon the core inside me burst into electric sparks and golden lightning covered my insides.

A golden light leaked from every hole in my body as if my body would explode next second but nothing of that sort happened.

My hair turned golden from white and started to grow at a speed visible to eye and a sudden dizziness struck me but I held onto my consciousness.

The hair grew longer than my body and started to wrap my small body into a cocoon. Within 25 seconds I was wrapped inside the white and golden cocoon that is when I heard merlin's voice.

"Now switch to your SOC." Merlin said and I complied and once again like last time my consciousness shifted.

Even inside the sea of consciousness I felt pain for few minutes and then the pain vanished as if it didn't exist but the cocoon kept getting bigger and bigger.

It stopped growing; when it reached the size of 3 meter round ball and I knew this because merlin showed me the live footage of what was happening outside my body.

"Check your soul force." Merlin said and I looked at the window in front of me.

[Soul force: 30 million/169 million]

[Soul force regeneration rate: 1 million per minute]

"It has only been half an hour and you have already recovered this much soul force, therefore as per my calculation, it takes between 2-3 hour for you to recover your total soul force." Merlin said.

"As your body grows the soul force regeneration as well as actual soul force will increase accordingly but we will not wait for that and once you are capable of leaving the cave, we will start hunting beasts." Merlin said.

"Now that your body is in slumber, we should not waste any more time and start your training." Merlin said.

"But wait, I sense another presence besides us in this sea of consciousness." I said to merlin.

"Let's go and meet him." Merlin said and we both vanished and reappeared somewhere in the white space.

"How can you manipulate my SOC, merlin?" I asked.

"Did you forget, the system is merged with your soul and I am merged with system." Merlin replied and embarrassed by asking this obvious question, I looked at the presence in front of me.

A golden orb was floating there surrounded by mysterious transparent bubble suspended in midair.

"Is this dragon king Noob's consciousness?" I asked.

"Yes, it will grow alongside you in your consciousness space and the day he awakens, is when you will fight one of the most difficult battle of your life." I nodded.

I distanced myself and merlin from the dragon king Noob's consciousness using teleportation and dropped a nuclear bomb from my previous world on the consciousness bubble to see if it affects him, but when the dust settled the golden orb floated there without even a scratch.

"Is this how people welcome their guest's on earth?" Merlin said but I didn't reply.

"Don't waste your soul force; nothing will affect him, while he is in slumber." Merlin said.

"If I hit him with a nuclear bomb when he awakens, how much damage will he receive?" I asked.

"There won't be a single scratch on his hard scales." Merlin said and my jaw dropped.

"Normal destructive weapons won't harm him, if you want to defeat him you will have to use weapons made of other powerful beast cores or attack him with his own divine lightning." Merlin explained why my nuclear attack would fail against dragon king Noob.

"I wanted to ask you merlin, How powerful was dragon king Noob, if compared to Demon king Lucifer?" I asked.

"Did you forget, he had the ability 'Absolute obedience', with that he can control any beings weaker than him, he doesn't need to kill demon king with his hands but just give an order and demon king Lucifer have to kill himself." My jaws dropped in anticipation that I will be able get that much stronger but thinking that how dragon god zenith has defeated him even breaking his pride I came back to my senses.

"Even if dragon king Noob didn't use his ultimate ability, he won't need more than 3 attacks to kill demon king Lucifer." Merlin further explained and continued.

"Don't think you are far from those gods because right now you are depending on others power, once you have awaken your memories and your own ability, you may be able to surpass them instantly." Merlin said.

"Let's start with learning magic spells then, I can't wait any longer." I said positively motivated.
