At the table where the guys were sitting, surprised shouts could be heard, "Impossible," "It must be a joke," "How is this possible?" You might be wondering what they were so surprised about, well, for that, we have to go back a while.
While they were chatting among themselves, Ryuu said with a smile, "Now, Kaito, since you're a new member of Peek-a-Boo, we have to welcome you as such." If the guys asked Kaito if he wanted to join their diving club, to which he agreed without seeing any problem with it. But this wasn't an ordinary diving club, and when the other guys heard that they were going to welcome Kaito as a new member, they smiled sinisterly, and some of them went to prepare for it.
Kaito noticed this and found it very strange, but he didn't pay much attention to it and said to Ryuu, "Oh, and what does this welcome entail?" Upon hearing this, both Ryuu and Shinji smiled sinisterly, while some guys behind them brought a bunch of drinks with high alcohol content, and both Ryuu and Shinji said at the same time, "Drinking contest." Upon hearing this, Kaito rolled his eyes and said, "I see. What are the rules then?"
Ryuu and Shinji smiled and said, "The rules are simple: the last one standing wins." Upon hearing this, Kaito smiled calmly and said, "Understood, pretty simple. If you guys are okay with it, let's begin." Upon hearing this, Ryuu and Shinji nodded to the other guys, and they quickly started serving drinks with high alcohol content. The other guys, on the other hand, were making bets on who they thought would win the challenge, with most of them betting on Ryuu and Shinji, knowing how great drinkers they were.
Some in particular who had bet on Kaito's victory said, "Come on, handsome guy, I'll be betting on you," and so the challenge began. Kaito took a full glass of what he saw was vodka and drank it in one gulp, followed by Ryuu and Shinji, and they continued like this for a while until the first one to fall was Shinji, who fell asleep on the table. Upon seeing this, the other guys said, "Wow, who would have thought that Shinji would be the first to fall," "Yeah, this guy has quite the resistance."
Looking at the table, Kaito could be seen calmly drinking vodka, while Shinji was asleep on the table, and Ryuu was dazed, saying to Kaito, "Wow, you're stronger than I imagined," to which Ryuu took one more glass and fell asleep on the table.
This was the exact moment when the girls arrived to see what was going on. Upon seeing this, they were surprised, and Azusa said, "Incredible, Ryuu and Shinji have lost in a drinking tournament; now, that's something new." After saying this, she looked at Kaito and said with a smile, "Kaito, you keep surprising us." Kaito, upon seeing that both Shinji and Ryuu had lost, took another sip for the last time and calmly said, "Thanks for the drink." The other guys, still surprised by Kaito's victory, didn't know what to say; it seemed that Kaito was just getting started, and he didn't seem even a bit drunk. Kaito, without realizing it, had earned the respect of all the guys.
On the other hand, Nanaka, seeing Kaito drinking so much, lightly scolded him and said, "Kaito, you shouldn't drink so much; it's bad for your health." Upon hearing Nanaka's concerned tone, Kaito replied with a smile, "Sorry for making you worry, Nanaka." Nanaka, seeing Kaito regretful with a blush, said, "A-As long as you understand."
After this, the party continued late into the night. In the middle of it, both Shinji and Ryuu woke up from their drunkenness and congratulated Kaito on his victory, claiming that he was the new "Drinking King." Upon hearing this title, Kaito smiled and nodded. At the end of the party, when everyone said their goodbyes, Nanaka invited Kaito to stay overnight at her house, to which Kaito agreed. After leaving a drunk Azusa in her room and with Chisa already asleep, Nanaka showed Kaito the room where he would be staying. Upon entering it, Kaito saw that in the room there were photos of Chisa with Nanaka and some photos of Kaito with Nanaka, so he turned to ask Nanaka if he had entered the wrong room, but as he turned around, he saw Nanaka looking at him with a smile, and she locked the door behind her and looked at Kaito. Kaito, upon seeing this, quickly understood and with a smile, he approached Nanaka and kissed her, and they got on the bed. (I'll leave what happened inside to your imagination).
