Chapter 13

For Nanaka, these weeks were the most memorable she had ever experienced in her life, all thanks to one person.

It all began one day while she was attending the diving shop as usual. A young man entered, very different from the usual clientele, as if a prince from a fairy tale had escaped his own story and appeared in that very place. For Nanaka, at that moment, her heart felt a way she wasn't accustomed to.

The young man approached her and said, "Excuse me, miss, but I heard that you teach diving here. If that's the case, I'd be interested in a tour of these wonderful waters." Upon hearing this, Nanaka snapped out of her reverie and replied with a smile, "Yes, of course, we teach diving here and offer tours. Leave everything to us." Upon hearing this, the young man responded with a smile, "Then I'll be in your care, miss..." Nanaka, smiling, interjected, "Nanaka, Nanaka Kotegawa."

Upon hearing her name, the young man smiled and said, "I see, Nanaka-san, it's a pleasure to meet you. Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Kaito Tanaka." Nanaka nodded and said, "Then, Kaito-san, let's begin the tour, shall we?" Kaito nodded, and thus began the happiest weeks of Nanaka's life.

As the days passed, Nanaka discovered what that strange feeling she felt when she first saw Kaito was. With each conversation, dinner, and laughter together, that feeling grew stronger. Above all, the day of their beach walk at night was one of her most memorable days, the day she finally realized that what she was feeling was indeed love.

Nanaka found it hard to believe that all this was happening and that she could ever love someone so intensely. She understands that all of this is very sudden, and her love almost came out of nowhere, but still, it's what she feels with all her heart, and it's something she doesn't mind at all; in fact, she loves this sensation.

On the day Kaito was leaving, she was nervous and anxious all day long. She wanted to tell him to stay a little longer with her, especially, but she didn't have the courage to say it. So, with all her willpower, she accepted that he had to go, but she was relieved that he had promised to return as soon as possible.

So she would wait as long as it takes until he returns and she can confess all these feelings she was feeling at the moment. And she is certain that he feels the same way, not because he has never experienced love before, but because he understands the signs that Kaito has been giving her.

Indeed, love is something incredible. It can happen in a moment or take a while to arrive, but it reaches all of us in one way or another. It can affect us all in different ways, generating bad experiences or very good experiences, but the important thing is, even if we have bad experiences with it, never lose hope that there will always be someone who will truly love you despite your flaws, and that person will love everything about you.

Love is a journey, and Nanaka is ready to embark on it with Kaito, wherever it may lead.
