Ch.30 Destruction of rosemary village

What entered the sight of Kingu and Co. upon teleporting outside the village is the houses being swallowed by a large fire.

"What happened to the village?" Irene said worriedly as she laid sight to the village.

"I don't know what happen but we better hurry if we want to save the village" Kingu said as he started running towards the village.

Upon entering the village, Kingu and Co. was greeted by the sight of burning houses and peoples being dragged by men wearing a hood.

Kingu opened the gate of babylon as he sends noble phantasms hurling towards the group of hooded men while ensuring that the villagers wasn't hurt.

"What happen here?" Irene ask as she help a male villlager that Kingu had just rescued.

"Ms. Irene, We were just sleeping in our houses when suddenly this group of men entered our houses and started dragging us while killing some of the villagers who had tried to strongly resist." the male villager replied as he tried to stand up.

"Judging from their attire, this group of men must be the believers of zeref who had kidnapping people all over the villages of Ishgar." Kingu said to Irene as he observe the attire of the group of men.

"Ms. Irene, please save my wife and my child. The cultist have taken them beforehand." the male villager begged to Irene.

"Kingu-kun and Skadi-san, can you rescue the villagers on your own? I need to check my house. Even though I had put various enchantments on it. I'm still worried about Erza." Irene said.

"Go check your house, we can manage on our own." Kingu replied.

Hearing Kingu's response, Irene nodded and took off towards her house.

"Which way did the cultist took the other villagers" Kingu ask to male villager.

"The group of men took them towards the east of the village." the male villager replied.

"Skadi, can you please go and save the villagers while i clean up the remaining cultist." Kingu said as he look towards skadi.

"Okay" Skadi said as she started flying towards the direction the group of men took the other villagers.

"Now that Skadi is gone. Let me clean up the trash before she returns." Kingu said as he started to fly upwards.

"Be careful, the group of men can use magic" the male villager warned to kingu.

After reaching a suitable altitude, Kingu spread his perception to cover the village.

Once he determined the position of every cultist, Kingu opened the Gate of Babylon and flew towards the position of every cultist and hurled a noble phantasm towards their body.

A few moments later, Kingu killed every cultist and landed on the ground as he waits for Skadi to return with the rest of the villagers.

Upon landing, Kingu saw Irene holding the drowsy 11 years old Erza at the corner of his eyes.

"Where did you find her?" Kingu ask to Irene once she arrive at his location.

"I was worried for nothing. When i arrive at my house, this girl have been peacefully sleeping inside my room." Irene replied as she hold the hands of Erza.

"How can that be? It's impossible for her not to notice the commotion outside the house unless you a noice canceling enchantments inside your room. What about the hooded mens" Kingu said while being midly suprised by her answer.

"Well, you're right. I did put a noise canceling enchantments inside my room. As for the hooded men, they have been hit by the destuctive enchantments that i have put inside the house when they tried forcefully enter the house." Irene said as she imagine the face of the hooded men when they were hit by her enchantments.

"Ah, that's right. I've notice those enchantment when i entered your house. So that was its purpose" Kingu said as he come to realisation.

"Where's Skadi?" Irene ask as she notice that Skadi wasn't on the side of Kingu.

"I had sent her to pursue the other cultist who had taken the other villagers." Kingu replied to which Irene nodded in response.

"Mom, i'm sleepy." Erza suddenly said as she yawn.

"Here, let me carry you, so you can sleep on my shoulder." Irene said as she carried Erza on her hands.

A few minutes later, Skadi returned to village with the other villagers.

"Now that the other villagers have returned, let's go destroy the headquarters of this hooded men." Kingu said as he summon Vimana.

"Let me come with you" Irene said.

"No. Me and Skadi are enough to destroy their headquarters. You on the otherhand need to help the other villagers." Kingu said as he flew towards the pilot throne while Skadi followed him aboard the noble phantasm.

'I've forgotten about the tower of heaven, if not for them invading the village, the memory would remain at the back of my brain.'

'As far as i can remember, the Tower of Heaven is located on a small island on the coast of the Caelum Kingdom, south of  Fiore' Kingu thought as he will the Vimana fly towards that direction.

A few seconds later, the unfinish tower came into view.

Kingu landed the vimana outside the tower and unsummoned it as he and Skadi entered the tower slaughtering all the cultist and freeing the slaves inside the tower.

After killing all the cultist inside the tower, Kingu summon the noble phantasm of Francis Drake, The Golden Wild Hunt as ghost flee of countless ships materialize outside the tower.

Kingu and Skadi urged the slaves to enter the ships as they embarked towards Caelum Kingdom.

Upon arriving at the land of Caelum Kingdom, the slaves got off the ship.

Once all people is off the boat, Kingu unsummoned the noble phantasm and summoned Vimana.

After giving the slaves some money so that they return to their home, Kingu flew towards the pilot throne of Vimana with Skadi in tow and headed back to Rosemary village.

Upon arriving outside the village, Kingu and Skadi got off the vimana and headed towards the village.

Once they entered the village, Kingu and Skadi saw some family crying while hugging their family member while some other villagers are grieving for their dead family.

Kingu and Skadi spotted Irene sitting on the grass while Erza is sleeping on her lap, so they headed towards her.

"Irene, now that the village is destroyed, maybe it's time for you to join our group in our headquarters."Kingu said once he and Skadi arrive at Irene's location

"It's also time for Erza to know some magic. I know that you're relucant to teach Erza some magic but you cannot be always there to her.

"What about when she have her own family? It's not all the time that you would be there to protect her." Kingu said.

Irene hesitated because she didn't want Erza to enter the world of mages since it's dangerous but she knew Kingu had a point so she sighed.

"Okay i'll join you but give me 4 days so that i can help rebuild the village."Irene said.

"Okay, we'll come to pick you up." Kingu said as he and Skadi teleported to the Hanging Garden of Babylon.

Important Notice

Author's Note: Some of you guys commented that i've been making bullshit decision for the plot because some of you think that Erza would be brought to the tower of heaven. About this matter, I give you guys 3 big hints before. 1. The magic of Irene, before Irene became a dragon slayer, her main magic was enchantments so how can she not think of enchanting her house with some defensive enchantment especially when Kingu told her to practice magic once in a while so that she don't get rusty, i even hinted that the house was enchanted in the last chapter. The second hint is Kingu's title, the master of weapons. In the series, Erza was fame for her requip magic and the use of different armors and weapons that are suitable for any opponents. Who else would be suitable to train her in the arts of weapon other than our MC Kingu who can have the experiences of various heroes that are in the pinnacle of their craft by tracing the history of a noble phantasm, Combine that skill with enchantment magic from Irene, you get an op erza who can deal a devastating attack and strong defense while displaying a large of variety of techniques by enchanting her weapons and armors. The last hint is on the improtant notice before, i posted there the arcs that would be skip or doesn't exist anymore, and the Tower of Heaven arc is included on the list. Also Kingu is not omnipotent, he's just a human too so he might forget some things. I am not angry with your comments, I'm just ranting and reminding you guys to watch out for some hints that might reveal future contents of the story. You guys are free to comment what you like since it's your freedom to do so, besides its the proof that many people is reading the fanfic.
