13 Latia's birthday

So this is what human world looks like, I thought to myself. There were many differences between the devil society and the human society that I took notice of. Including the way both of the species in general behaved.

When I was in Underworld and I have met different Lords and ladies of different houses and their children's who are the Heirs of those houses. There behaviour and general normal human behaviour is where different.

Even the most richest people on the earth try to show some form of humility so they could connect with the people. That isn't the case in Underworld with how all the Nobel devils behave in general.

Ever since I was born I was an exceptionally smart child which is to be expected. Considering devil childrens are generally smarter than human children's not only that but the smartest clans of devil society are agares, astaroth and sitri clan.

And surprise surprise I am both astaroth clan from my fathers side and agares clan from mothers side. This means my intellectual potential is higher than average devils of any of these houses.

Because of this Sad intelligence I could discipher that all those Lords and ladies wear selfish in their intentions towards me and my family. At young age I understand the way the devil society work and how patriarchal this society can get.

For female devils there is only two choices for them you either get strong enough to make your own life and get higher position or you get married of in some random arrange marriage. While arrange marriage isn't exactly a bad thing it clearly depends on the person anyone is getting married to.

But we are talking about the devil society here and most cases these arranged marriages are the worst. If you are a female and you are able to find that male devil partner that will treat you equally and respectfully then you are the most luckiest woman on the world.

That is also the reason why my father didn't pressured me into getting married because he wanted me to become independent and strong and if I were to get married or they can arrange their marriage to a young people heir of a good family.

I have no problem getting married for the sake of my family I have brain brought up to love my Clan and feel proud about my heritage and I am willing to make any sacrifices for my family and my houses honor.

As I was thinking this I then realised that someone was looking directly at me with the intense gaze. I didn't saw a boy with black hair and blue eyes looking directly at her I had to admit he was pretty cute.

But there was something strange about him as I can feel some sort of an aura around him that made him stand out among the crowd. I didn't send any kind of intense magical energy from him but that strange or a was very peculiar.

Before I could think anything else the black hair boy broke eye contact with me and he went somewhere after asking what could be his mother.

' who was that strange boy?'

I thought to myself before the voice of my father called out to me.

" so what do you both think about the the party?" Lucas asked mother and me. Both of us smile at him while my mother replied.

" it's a wonderful party honey and I really like your employees and their polite behaviour" cassandra said politely with a smile on her face then my father turn to me and asked

" Latia dear what do you think of your party?is this good enough for you?" Lucas asked in a nervous tone almost as if he is afraid of his own daughters response.

I simply smile at him knowing that he had prepared much bigger celebrations in my previous birthdays. And compared to those once this one is very tamed and is in human world.

I didn't like those parties anyways devils have a bad habit of unnecessarily spending their money on luxury and unnecessary parties. But throwing those parties is also important because it shows status and power of a family even though we are from the brands family of the astaroth clan.

I have a clue want to buy my father decided to celebrate my birthday in the human world it's mostly because for some reason he doesn't like the Underworld not does he likes there own house in general. My father really talks to any other member of his family aside from my uncle ajuka Beelzebub himself.

While my other uncle who is also my father's younger brother livan astaroth never directly talked to my father. In fact my father tried his best to keep me away from him and his son who is also my cousin Diodora astaroth.

That guy is an absolute creep show for some reason whenever she is near him she get this feeling to just get away from that person it's just that as a sensory type devil he can send peoples or are and magical power and for some reason Is Magic is straight up disgusting.

" it's wonderful father I really like the small party that you have prepared for us it may not be expensive but it shows how much effort you put into it. Sometimes spending of money doesn't describe how much you love a person" that was my intelligent answer which left my parents in awe of my wisdom.

Then they smile proudly at me and said.

"Let's me introduce you two to my employees and there families" Lucas said while both me and my mother nodded.

In my last thought I couldn't help but think about that strange black haired boy. There was just something strange about his aura that made her very curious about him hopefully I will be able to greet him in this party.

(General P. O. V)

Lucas was talking to some of his employees and their family. His wife was talking to the women while he was talking to the man and seems like his daughter is also busy talking with some of the kids her age or some even older than her by a few years.

What made him smile do was both of his wife and daughter where same to be more open compared to the expensive devil gathering events where they have to be optite and proper. Here they can behave like normal people or what human say like normal human being.

Even his daughter same to be smiling a lot as she was conversing with the childrens something you will not see in Underworld very often. Thinking about that place made him angry as you wanted his family to stay away from that place.

He has a lot of bitter memories in the underworld and with his house. One of the main reasons he wanted his daughter to study here in the human world is to get her away from the politics of the devils that could ruin her life and future.

It's not that he doesn't want her daughter to marry a good man and settle down but he cannot trust anyone especially the devil race who have quite the reputation.

With people like he is so called brother back home he would rather not risk it and gamble on the life of his daughter and wife.

'My sweet Latia with how things are you will have a tough life ahead. I hope you could becomes strong or maybe find someone strong enough who can help you in your endeavours in the future.' Lucas thought to himself.

He in the end decided to not think about it too much and let his daughter enjoy as much offer childhood as possible because in the future she will have a lot of responsibilities and advisory.

Kage was currently hiding inside the washroom as he truly didn't know what to do in this situation. Kage was worried that if he decided to go out there and meet with the devils devil somehow be able to notice is abnormal powers and try to make a Slave out of him.

While he try to remember that latia in the novels was a described to be a kind and polite person who will never do evil things, but the same could not be said about her parents.

For all he knew that they could be extremely Evil being. But that however will not make sense because if there daughter is a good person then how can they be Evil? Because in most cases the children generally try to replicate their parents be general behaviour and try to mimic them.

One could say that most childrens behaviour is inspired directly from their parents themselves or what their parents have taught them basically.

It's still up to debate whether they are evil or not he truly cannot just judge them directly. Kage knew that there is no escape from this type of situation.

He can't just go to his parents and say 'oh look your boss and his family are Devil's wife cannot be around them' they were most probably thing that he is stupid or something or give him a tight slap.

" you know what f*** this. Consequences be dammed let just get this over with and hope for the best" kage finally made up his mind as he exited the washroom.

He just hope things don't go south...
