Chapter-3 : Joining a Familia

Beol Mountains__

Edas village, where my family lived was surrounded by mountains infested with monsters, the families living in the village were safe because of high-level adventurers like my parents.

Present__

Aahan and Dunan had finished their purchases in Orario and were returning to the village, they met some monsters which they disposed of very easily, Dunan used a longsword and Aahan used the spear Drake had gifted him on his seventh birthday. Their house was small but perfect for a family of three. When they reached home Aahan's mother Jivni was waiting for them.

Aahan__

"Son, how was your first trip out of the village," asked my mother keeping down a book she had been reading. "Very fun, and also some important things happened," I replied. My father who came behind me said, "Lady Hephaestus invited Aahan to her familia, I let him decide, ad he agreed, he must be guilty because he didn't ask you." "Oh, I am indeed sad to separate from our son but I am also happy that you get to join one of the best-crafting familia, which will be safe and you can make a lot of money." my mother said first making a sad and then a happy expression. I let out a breath of relief as I had indeed been afraid that my mother would be very sad.

"Oh, and also make some time to improve your study of potions as well, I will give you a lot of information on potion making this week along with helping you make some easier ones. You should also take some books on potions and materials with you when you leave." said my mother.

"As you have already joined a familia, your mother and I will also be going back to our familia, we will be leaving after six months as you get comfortable within your familia, we will meet you every month until then." said my father.

My parents were part of an exploration-type familia led by the god Agni, a god of fire and rituals. I was a little sad because of the separation but was relieved that we could meet few times a year if we wanted to.

The following week studied potions with my mother and did regular training of mind, body, and magic. When I left I said goodbye to Uncle Drake and a friend of mine who was eight years old called Varun who lived with his parents a little distance away. This time both my father and mother came with me to see me join my familia.

Valka's Crimson Chamber__

The Hephaestus familia home called Valka's Crimson Chamber was a very large mansion on the eastern side of Orario near the Hephaestus familia forge.

My parents and I were standing in front of the gate of Hephaestus familia, a guard soon approached us and we explained our purpose to him. After going in and informing some higher-level member he came back to take us in, we were taken to Hephaestus's office, outside the office the man I had seen last time with Hephaestus came with a small smile. "Hello there, my name is Graham and I am the captain of Hephaestus familia, Lady Hephaestus is in the office, I will take you all in," he said gesturing us to the door. As we entered the room Hephaestus was sitting behind the table looking at us with a smile, the walls of the office had many beautiful weapons hanging on it.

My parents introduced themselves to the goddess and also told her about their background. After some conversation, the goddess told the captain to lead me and my parents to my room, after sorting my belongings she told me to come to her room to get my falna.

After putting down my luggage and arranging my room parents and said our goodbyes. I started walking towards the center of the mansion where according to the captain is Hephaestus's personal room.
