1 CHAPTER 1: HERE WE GO

"Where am I?" asked Levi as he looked around.

"Welcome to the heavenly realm," replied a strange-looking man with a long white beard and long hair. He stood up to greet Levi. 

"So, where am I?" Levi asked again.

"As I said before, you are in the heavenly realm. In other words, you have died."

"Don't mess with me. I'm still 17, how can I die?" he looked around for an exit but soon realized he was in a room without any doors.

Damn it! Looks like he isn't joking. What should I do?

"Kind sir, where is the exit? I need to get to the restroom," Levi said, stammering.

"Dead people don't need to use restroom. If you don't believe me, let me explain how you died. Basically, you were returning home in a public transport which met with an accident but you only died."

"How can I die at a young age like this?" Levi cried and stopped suddenly.

Well, nobody cared for me, anyway.

"Please, send me back, how can I die? I never dated a girl, leave dating. I never spoke to a girl before, damn it I feel like trash here," Levi fell to his knees in utter disgust in himself.

"I have a lot of people to attain, so, I provide you with two choices here. Hear me carefully; first; either you can go to the afterlife and spend eternity there or get reincarnated to a world where magic exists. The choice is all yours."

Reincarnated? Is he messing with me? Well, the fact I died is not false. Damn it.

"Normally, people who are in a good state of mind choose the afterlife without thinking twice."

"Ahem! If I get to date girls in my new life then… I guess you know the answer."

"Looks like your brain isn't working. I'm no one to judge here. Here your wish is granted." After that, the old strange man chanted something and the surroundings started to turn white. Levi looked here and there in amazement.

Here I come, my new world.

THE MAGICAL WORLD

Just after Levi stepped into the new world, he was amazed to see greenery all around. There were no cars or buses or any other vehicles to pollute the environment.

Wait, wait, wait. What am I supposed to do now? Ahhhhhhh! I forgot to ask that old man. 

Levi sat under a tree thinking about all the worst decisions he made in life.

What the hell is wrong with me?

After a few moments Levi again stood up and planned to explore the place first before doing anything. 

This world is of magic, so, do I have magical powers? No way.

As he kept on walking on the streets, he saw roads filled with people happily moving here and there and children playing in the streets.

Now it was getting noon and Levi was hungry, he took a glance here and there but as he had no money, he couldn't buy anything.

I'm gonna die a second time now.

He walked in the streets as soon his attention caught on a big writing. ADVENTURES GUILD. 

What's that?

He entered inside. Just as he kept his leg in, he was greeted by a beautiful receptionist. He walked up to her.

"How can I help you, dear adventurer?" the receptionist said with a bright smile.

"What is this adventurer… thing?" Levi asked out of curiosity.

"You are a new adventurer… I guess. Let me help. We, adventurers, are tasked with different jobs and upon completing them, are rewarded with gold coins, the reward depends on the risk involved in the job," the receptionist explained.

I have heard about these things in books and tv shows. It's happening in real life. Looks like fiction isn't fiction anymore.

"And as you are a new adventurer, you will be rewarded with 10 gold coins upon registration," the receptionist said. "So, would you like to register yourself?"

"10 gold coins?" without giving a second thought Levi enrolled himself.

NARRATOR: "What's wrong with this kid?"

"Here's your card, you are officially an adventurer now. Please work for the betterment of society."

After receiving the money, Levi ran to the nearest restaurant and gulped everything till he finished all his money.

What's now? Maybe I should have saved some money, there's no point thinking now. Maybe being an adventurer is not that bad.

He again returned to the Adventurers Guild and peeked at the notice board which had information about different jobs available. 

All these jobs require teammates. Where the hell will I bring teammates now?

"Hello, are you looking for teammates?" Levi heard a soothing voice from behind him, as he turned back, he saw a beautiful girl around his age.

So beautiful. "Y-yes, I'm looking for teammates," Levi replied. 

Levi without even looking at the notice board took out a job notice and placed it before the receptionist. 

"A-are you sure? Do you really want to take this job?" the receptionist asked, shocked. 

Levi ran his hand through his hair gracefully. "Oh, my goodness. Is there anyone stronger than me?"

"You look strong, let's do this job and get those gold coins," the girl said, smiling.

OBJECTIVE: KILL 10 GOBLINS

"Sorry for my rudeness, my name is Mello, what's yours?"

"I'm Levi; the most handsome guy around the town," he said, running his hand through his hair.

NARRATOR: Levi has a nice sense of humour. 

Both of them stood before a large dark cave.

"So, Levi, what type of magic are you expert in?" Mello asked.

Magic? Wait, wait, wait, how can I forget I don't have a thing called MAGIC!

"Magic, yeah, magic. I'm magic," Levi replied stammering.

"Let's get in," Mello said.

A FEW MOMENTS LATER

Out of the cave, Mello came running with Levi on her back.

"You don't know magic?" Mello shouted at the top of her voice.

Her personality changed in a second

"Keep on running or those goblins will eat us," Levi said in a low voice.

"I feel like throwing you here."

"Please don't do that, I don't even have a girlfriend," Levi begged.
