Chapter 29

As the crown princess of the elven empire, Kristine had always felt alone. Born into a world of political ambition and manipulation, she struggled to find genuine friendships and connections. Despite her royal status, she was constantly thwarted by her cold-blooded siblings, who sought nothing more than to take the throne from her, even if it meant resorting to bloodshed.

But Kristine was determined to rise above it all. She threw herself into her training, dedicating herself to becoming the strongest, most capable ruler possible. Her natural talent and relentless work ethic paid off, and she quickly established herself as the leader among her siblings.

But the road to dominance was not without its sacrifices. Kristine's siblings were relentless in their efforts to undermine her, and they destroyed everything she held dear in an effort to break her spirit and drive her to despair. Kristine was powerless to stop them, and the constant attacks took their toll on her mental and emotional well-being.

It was then that Kristine discovered the famous academy. She realized that this was the place she had been searching for - a place where she could train, make friends, and escape the machinations of her cruel siblings. She begged her mother, the queen of the elven empire, for permission to attend, and with her blessing, she passed the entrance exam with ease.

Kristine was thrilled to find that the level of students at the academy was truly impressive. She saw potential in many of her classmates, and even began to scout some of the brightest and most promising students for her future court. Despite her royal status, Kristine felt truly at home among her peers at the academy, and for the first time in her life, she felt truly happy and fulfilled.

As I arrived at the Academy, I was greeted by a number of nobles whom I had met during the qualifying process. We were then assigned our dorm rooms, and it was explained that we would be sharing rooms in order to improve our teamwork and cooperation skills. It was clear to me that the Academy placed a great emphasis on these values.

While some of the nobles were dissatisfied with the arrangements of having to share a room with a low-ranked person or someone of an opposing race, they had no choice but to comply with the rules or risk being sent home. I, too, was assigned to my room and was accompanied by two maids and two knight candidates, as was common for most well-established nobles.

Despite their initial dissatisfaction, they had no choice but to agree to the settings of the academy, it seems that they were opposed to the idea that I would have to share room with a stranger, but this is what I also wanted, to finally meet others and make new friends.

Upon arriving at my dorm room, I was faced with my roommate who seemed to have just come out of her room hearing our footsteps. She was one of the most beautiful demons I had ever seen in my life, and I could swear that even my heart pounded for a moment upon seeing her deep red, mysterious eyes. And there was this odd fragrance coming from her that seemed to only be perceptible to me. This smell... it was something akin to sweet smelling, yet at the same time, it was like a sweet dish being presented in front of a person who had been starving for days.

I didn't realize it at first as I was lost in a daze, captivated by her beauty. But as I came to my senses, I noticed that my subordinates were behaving in a rude and brazen manner towards my new roommate, simply because of her race being a demon. I felt a deep shame at how they were acting despite being elves from good families and knew that I needed to act quickly to prevent the situation from escalating.

"Please, stop this behavior immediately," I said firmly to my subordinates. "We are all here to learn and grow, and it is not appropriate to judge or treat others poorly based on their race."

The demon girl, my future roommate, seemed taken aback by my sudden intervention, and I could see a hint of gratitude in her eyes. "Thank you," she said with a soft voice, "I appreciate your kindness."

I smiled at her and said, "I hope we can get along well as roommates, and I apologize for the behavior of my subordinates."

She smiled back and said, "Of course, I would be happy to share a room with you."

I could feel a sense of relief wash over me as I realized that I had just avoided a potential disaster on the first day of my enrollment at the academy. And as I settled into my new dorm room with my demon roommate, I couldn't help but feel excited for the adventures and challenges that lay ahead.
