Chapter 2: Meeting

As I walk, I stopped at a nearby tree to do some preparations before continuing to go to the town.

I summoned an Anti-Materiel Rifle called CheyTac M200 Intervention, the rifle is developed by Cheytac USA LLC it is a bolt action type and has a weight of 31lb with the length of 1,300mm, the barrel length is 740mm and the ammunition it uses is a .408 Cheyenne Tactical or .375 Cheyenne Tactical.

The gun's effective firing range is 2,500 meters, and the feed system is a detachable 7-round cartridge box.

"If a thick hardened shelled monster directly appears in front of me, I'll just use this monster to shoot it"

The Cheytac Intervention M200 should be shot while in a prone position. However, because of my inhuman strength I can shoot this rifle while standing up.

"Even if I have magic, I think it is wise to have something in hand in case of emergencies"

Upon summoning the Anti-Materiel rifle, I summoned both ten .408 and 0.375 Cheyenne Tactical detachable 7-round cartridge box along with a red dot sight and kept them in my Dimensional Space magic.

"What a handy magic..."

Well I already knew from the word Dimensional and Space and Time magic... but this is just amazing...

"Combining three of these magic to store something is great and all but..."

Couldn't I also teleport or use transport magic with this?

"Alright, if given a chance I'll try experimenting with that"

As I continue to walk inside the forest, I pondered about the attire I should wear.

"... Wait, couldn't I just summon an armor and sword? this is a magic and sword world after all..."

Clarifying what to do of what decision I should make I decided.

"Un... I should just summon both"

There shouldn't be anybody here so I guess it's fine.

"Divine Equipment Call"

As I said those words, my body was wrapped in a bright light.

"!!!"

I was shocked, but the light was now loosing it's intensity and is now becoming dimmer.

"A... amazing..."

My body is in full jet black plate mail armour, the full body armour has a thick build and looks intimidating to a person's eye, with that the helmet's visor has a green like crystal glass embedded on it in a straight horizontal line. Furthermore, the armour's upper mantle is also jet black with green embroidery in the edges and has a glowing green hue on its end, also from the sides of my abdomen the armour have green linings along with it looking like a dragon scale.

"This armour emphasizes the physique, huh... and it is also not that heavy, I wonder if it is due to my strength? also..."

I just noticed this just now but... it seems my height is 177cm...

"The armour looks like a dragon armour the more I look at myself with it..."

But where is the sword...?

I got flustered upon noticing that a sword wasn't in my field of vision.

"Did it fail...?"

As I said those words, a magic circle formed on the ground.

I took a close inspection and nothing seems to come out, but upon a few minutes the hilt of the sword came protruding out from the magic circle.

"Should I just pull it out?"

I put my hands on the grip of the hilt and began to pull the sword out.

"Wew... Success!"

When I looked at the sword in which I pulled, it is a two-handed longsword, the hilt is all black and the guard has a green hue along with the edges of the blade have a dark green lining while the body of the blade is all jet black.

"Eh..? It glows..."

I tried putting my magic power in the sword and the green linings of the blade radiated a dim green light.

"It seems to respond to a users magic power..."

When I finished summoning the equipments and weapons I need, I continued on walking.

As I advance towards the town's wall, I met monsters like goblins and wolves but they instantly got killed with one swing of my sword.

"There should be a muddy road path though..."

However... There are none! none at all...!

"I kept advancing without even minding my surroundings..."

I leaked out a sigh of my blunder.

Normally, I should have just continued casting clairvoyance magic... However, due to the success of my magic eagle eye to find a wall protruding out from the forest I cancelled it...

"Im... an idiot..."

A dry laugh escapes from my mouth.

"Come to think of it the status also shows the name of my equipment"

I then began to cast my Status Window.

I just noticed this now but the skills are all offensive types...

-- I thought. I then begin checking their effects.

"Lets see..."

Magic Invoking (Ancient) should be ancient magic, which takes too long to chant but the result is catastrophic.

Magic Invoking (Present) must be magic of basics which is faster to chant but the offensive capabilities is shortened.

Magic Invoking (Modern) ...

"!. What the hell...!"

Modern Magic Invoking just directly popped up a window right in front of me.

"It seems like Magic Invoking (Modern) is special"

The windows dictates the details of the skills as follows. The skill Invoking Magic (Modern) can let the caster cast magic without chanting, power depends on the casters magic power along with taking account the mana capacity of the caster.

"I see... the downside of this skill is it has higher mana consumption and if the casters magic power is low then his or her magic cast is only for naught"

and last...

"Auto Battle Mode?"

What the heck?

A window then again appeared stating the effect of auto battle mode.

Auto Battle Mode lets the user automatically battle without minding his or her own situation.

"This skill should just be berserk..."

Not minding my own situation is the same as jumping off a cliff.

"I should just use this as a last resort... or maybe not"

As I continued walking onwards along with closing my status window, I noticed a dirt road.

As I casted eagle eye to know the direction, I spotted a carriage. However it seems like something is fighting outside the carriage.

As I focused my Eagle Eye.

"What the... there are six dead knights in the area, moreover there seems to be only nine knight left defending the carriage.. and"

The enemies are... bandits. How cliche, but there seems to be a number of them, about twenty or so.

Confirming their numbers it seems to be somewhere in between 20 to 25 bandits.

"Alright, I'll try saving them"

Using my strength superiority, I leaped towards the direction of the carriage leaving trails of destroyed trees along with the road getting a bit deformed, well at least no one will notice.

"For now I'll use my full power"

In a fight underestimating an enemy could lead to a recoil of you're own death.

I then used Strengthening along with the passive God Magic.

"Oh crap! I'm almost there"

I evidently stopped in front of the carriage, although the horses are a bit bewildered from my appearance, the bandits line of sight was focused on me.

"What the fuck?! a Dark Knight?!"

"Shit! Reinforcements since when?!"

"Don't panic it's only one guy!"

As the last guy that seemed to be the leader stated that, the bandits came back to their senses.

Although the knights are staring dumbfounded at my appearance, they seemed to also get back to their own senses too.

"So what can a one puny knight do?"

The bandit leader seemed to be grinning while questioning me along with him releasing an intimidating aura.

Although I confirmed it, there seems to be only 22 bandits in this vicinity.

"Oi! Are you scared that you can't even answer my own question?"

As the surrounding bandits laugh from his statement I simply stood there listening to his blabbering, he seems to be pissed off due to me not responding to him.

He then evidently lunges his longsword to me but...

"... Im... impossible..."

The bandit's leader face became pale white.

When he gave me a vertical slash I evidently caught his sword and grasped it without putting too much effort into it.

The result...

The longsword broke.

The pale faced bandit leader then leapt back, and began to give out orders.

Although the knights wanted to give me a hand. It seems like the person inside the said carriage is more important.

"Kill him!"

as he gave out that word, several magic came flying towards me.

"Ahahahaha, Even a royal knight couldn't survive that barrage of magic!"

Right now my whole body is covered in smoke and dust due to the sudden barrage of fire and wind magic from my right.

I see so that's why...

It is impossible for professional knights to be dealt with and get cornered in an easy manner, it seems someone hide throughout my clairvoyance magic.

I then began casting a high level clairvoyance magic.

Opposite from the bandit leader, there seems to be a mage on the left side area of the carriage at the back of the bandits.

Earthen Eater

As I silently casted that spell, the area around the mage began to swell and then suddenly formed a mouth which swallowed him whole.

The bandits shocked from the sudden event stared towards me which is still currently covered in smoke and dust.

As the smoke and dust gradually fades away, I heard the cries of the bandits.

"Mo... monster!"

"Shit! Run!"

"Fuck! Fuck! I don't want to die!"

"What the fuck! How can you still be alive?!"

Each and each of each faces of the bandits became pale and started to run, however...

"As If I will let you get away that easily"

Along with that. I casted a small homing fire ball in which upon contact to the target, will evidently incinerate the body.

22 small flame balls with the shape of a ping-pong ball came flying towards each one of the bandits and created a circular thick wall about the size the same as their height upon contact with their clothing or skin.

I am worried about a forest fire happening, so when I casted clairvoyance magic and sensed that there are no bandits left. I then casted water magic and shot it out towards the sky.

The spells I casted are both Modern, It also seems that I can make my own magic with the Invoking Magic (Modern) skill.

"Yosh, rescue mission complete. ehehehe"

As I said that in a low voice, I heard footsteps from my back along with the sounds of rustling metal.

"Tha... Thank you. Sir. Dark Knight"

It seems he is the leader of the knights here, his armour is silver plated with golden linings and a blue rose with a shield and dragon in each side of the crest is embedded in the chest area along with his mantle being in a blue color. Due to him not wearing a helmet he is around the 30s.

His face is like someone from Europe, blue eyes with blonde hair along with a fit facial feature. A pretty boy in his 30s!

"No problem, I just happen to pass by that's all"

"Then again I am grateful from the help you've given us"

He then bowed his head but I felt uncomfortable and told him to raise his head.

Although Im a businessman, my age is 25 so it's awkward for a senior to bow to a young man.

"I forgot to introduce myself, I am Leon Cardivell the 2nd son of the household of Cardivell. I currently work as Captain of the Knights on the Household of Bernique"

"I am..."

Is it alright to say my real name? it is right..? well whatever I'll just go with it.

"I am Oyama Itaru, Itaru is my name and the family name is Oyama"

"What a weird way of naming..."

Well I can't retort to that.

"Are you a Knight of some country? Itaru-san"

Oh crap! what should I reason out with?!

"Ah... No, I'm just a wandering knight"

"I see..."

It worked!

"Captain! Milady wants to meet the knight whom helped us"

"Understood"

When he gave his words of agreement, he then looked at me and conveyed.

"Itaru-san can you follow me?"

"Ah... Ok"

Upon getting guided to the front door of the carriage, Leon-san said.

"Milady, the knight whom helped us, is waiting for you're appearance"

As Leon said that towards the carriage, the door then opened and a girl in her mid-teens stepped out from the carriage.

She has blonde hair which reached through her waist, deep blue eyes, and a pretty slim facial feature. He attire is truly that of a noble she wore a snow white gown along with a mantle.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Dark Knight. I am Emily Hart Bernique"

she bowed her head, the knights were shocked but were later calmed by Leon.

"I am Oyama Itaru, my first name is Itaru and the family name is Oyama"

"Hm... What a weird name"

Still cannot retort to that.
