28 Chapter 28

Chapter 28

"But before that, who the fuck are you?" Jamie asked the boy who only looked at him ridiculously.

"Miyuki Ren. 18 years old." Jamie nodded his head.

"I'm Kim Jamie."

They went back to Ren's apartment and the place made Jamie sigh. He waited for Ren to gather his clothes while the teenager just looked at him in confusion. Jamie explained to him that he needs to bring him to a good place. Ren even gazes at him in a strange manner but Jamie sighs at him. He feels the exhaustion already.

Ren has a small backpack with his piece of clothes. Jamie gritted his teeth at another fashion terrorist same with the soul owner of this body of him. Possibly the reason why Jamie felt different from Ren. (Eww)

They were in the hallway when a middle-aged man frowned at the sight of them. Jamie ignores him but he holds Ren and the boy bites his lip seeing the man corner him again.

"Fucker! Where are you going? Give me money! Your piece of shit! Useless motherfucker!" The man keeps cursing and Jamie closes his eyes because of irritation.

"Hello, I am his employer," Jamie said when he saw the man was about to hit Ren.

The man looked at Jamie from head to toe. He smirks seeing Jamie's contour, there's a glimmering expression in his eyes.

"You look like one of the guys in brothels." The man laughs while Ren frowned at Jamie, huge dark eyes staring at Jamie.

"He's a pimp you dumpo!" The man laughed again while Jamie just watched him without any set of emotions.

"Ren," Jamie called but the teenager was confused, he voided his eyes but his grip on the bag pack didn't loosen up.

"You think you can whore my son and get out of it? Pay me you son of a bitch!" The guy said mercilessly. Ren burst into tears and Jamie only took his remaining thousands of yen before giving it to Ren's father.

The guy long escaped but Ren is still crying. Jamie watches his stop until the teenager speaks.

"Are you really gonna pimp me?" Ren asked, voice broken while another fat tear fell on his cheek.

"Excuse me, I'm a businessman." Jamie countered, still offended he was mistaken as a pimp.

"Really?" Ren asked, too vulnerable and insecure.

"I promise. But it's complicated. I'll tell you everything but we need to get out of here first." Jamie said and waited for Ren to gather his strength and stood up.

Jamie has never been in Ren's shoes so he understands if he won't trust Jamie. He's still an 18 years old kid though they have similarities with his parents treating him to old Jamie, the sympathy was not what he felt for him. Jamie wanted to help him because he deserves it. He asked him if he has a dream and he said he has it. The gleam in his eyes isn't dead yet and those people who still dream deserve to be given a chance. They are just misfortunes, no one deserves to compare them as worthless.

If Ren chooses his own life and guides him through it, then he will be fine. But for now, this current boy is lost and full of insecurity, vulnerability, and anger with the world. So Jamie doesn't have a plan to hide everything about his mafia family. Ren should know what he is entering into if he chooses to be with his side as they survive together or reach the top together. Ren will choose his lane, and Jamie will only guide him at the starting point. He hopes it will be okay with them in a long journey because Jamie never forgives traitors. He hates betrayal and one thing he learned from his past life is to treasure his life and eliminate threats.

They ride a taxi again and Jamie is quiet in the car. Ren is looking outside the window. His doe eyes were alert but when they stops at the Tokyo Peninsula, Ren's lips quivered again. He gulps and gazes at Jamie. He fidgeted while Jamie let him feel his anxiety and ignored him as Jamie got a new room for Ren.

They were in the elevator and Ren's nervousness is so obvious. Some of the hotel guests looked at them frowning at Ren's uniform while the staff ignored Jamie because they knew him as Kun's brother and a Kim.

Jamie opens a suit room next to his own. He let Ren come first before closing the door on his back.

Jamie took an intercom and ordered food service. Ren was still fidgeting at the corner couch, clasping to his backpack like it was his lifeline. Jamie let out an exhale before sitting on the sofa and looking at Ren.

"Seat Ren," Jamie mumbled and the boy followed him.

"I know it's strange that we were in a hotel after your father mistook me as a pimp but I was staying here, left room was my suit," Jamie mumbled accordingly.

Ren appears to relax more and is finally seated. The door knocked halted their conversation and Jamie went to the door and took the food. He let the staff help them, eyes trained on the floor. They never met Ren's especially Jamie and bow politely after and closed the door. The food is served and Jamie only takes a drink because he needs to explain.

"My name is Kim Jamie, 21 years old, an art university student from Seoul, Korea. If you're going to come with me, you will also move to Korea." Jamie studied Ren's reaction but so far he was neutral about it.

"I'm in Japan because my father sends me, well, to be precise, to assist my brother. Maybe you'll meet him or maybe not. He was always busy." Jamie says and stares at Ren.

"I'm a programmer. I think Japan has the highest knowledge about that. I will hire you as my assistant. I live in Kim manor but I have an apartment, my father brought it to me and you will be living there if you accept the job."

Jamie explained the basics of most of his creations. Ren is just listening to him until he mentions the mafia.

"I don't know if you're familiar with the Dragon mafia but I was an illegitimate child of the leader. Well, my brothers and sister have the same mother but I only have a different father. We aren't close if that's what you are curious about."

"I haven't told Kun about you yet but I'll take it," Jamie says again.

"Then am I safe?" Ren asked, still fidgeting but determined to know the answer.

"I'm not sure. Someone tried to kill me before so you need to learn how to fight too." Jamie pouted because that's the only disadvantage of his perfect life.

"How dare you not protect me after you lure a high schooler here," Ren says, earning a glare from Jamie.

"It's not my fault that you're a wimp." Jamie retorted childishly.

"Anyway, I need to know if you're going to sponsor my expenses because as you know, I'm broke," Ren mumbled, he felt relaxed now and started to eat the cookies.

"I can see that, you poor thing."
