Chapter 23

The club is still deserted because it's not hours yet for opening. They were at the office located at the back. There are still people but Jamie isn't sure if someone will help him if ever they spotted Hanako turning her gun to Jamie. They only knew him as the useless son of Kim but still, the security was new so Jamie will take advantage of that. 

So when Hanako told Jamie to move, he followed her. He was thankful he saw the club's blueprint. He doubts if Hanako memorizes every part of this club but thanks to Jamie's photographic memory, even the smallest alley that could help him to escape will be used if only he had a perfect time to outsmart her. 

They were walking in the narrow aisle, dim bulbs were on the wall while Jamie could see some water tubes at the corner along with echo steps that added an eerie feeling to his situation. He decided to make her uncomfortable too.

"You see, my brother and I are close." Jamie started, not seeing her because he was in front while he felt the cold metal touch his nape. Hanako is wearing combat shoes that have wedge heels at the heel. She almost reaches Jamie's height and it's not funny because Jamie is tall too! 

"You fucking walk not blabber." Hanako's voice is stern but Jamie will push her limit. 

"And it's wrong of you to think that Kun will abandon me here. As you notice about him being concerned about me-" Jamie felt the massive pain in his head when Hanako struck him using the gun. He fell on the cold floor and held his aching head. He touches it and assumes that there is blood on the back of his head. 

"Fucking told you to walk not to talk with the fifty mouths of yours!" Jamie can see how her expression changes. Even her silhouette can't break her evil features. She looks furious like she was ready to pull the trigger and kill Jamie on the spot. His pulse thumping vehemently that it paused Jamie's reaction to the indignant woman. 

"Kun is not capable of emotion! No... He is! He is kind to me too! He was even concerned when I told him I was having a hard time handling the club! I was... Yes, he cared about me. And dealing with you is another regular day. He will probably thank me for disposing of a useless brat like you." Hanako's voice echoed because of the loud voice. She smirks at Jamie's bewildered face falsing it as fear. 

"You are delusional, Kun will kill you on the spot the moment he knows you betray him." Jamie countered not leaving his gaze at the crazy woman. 

"Fuck you! You only came here today! You don't know us! Kun cared so much about me that he will reward me... Yes, he will reward me, or maybe it's better to get rid of you now. Auction be damned! Kun will like it if you, he dislikes so much, will be six feet under." Hanako chuckles dreadfully.

Jamie knew it was her taunting him but the truth, released from her mouth, touches the sensitivity of Jamie's well-being. It was a fact. No one in his family liked him or cared for him. His life in the past was being loved by the people around him did not exist here. He was alone and it was irritating that this crazy woman knew it. Like a fucking incantation affecting him too bad it creates shivering flaw on him. Jamie scoffed at the useless mind he was thinking. It's not a time to be affected and show her that it tinted him being rubbed to the corner. He levels his gaze at her. 

"Darling, you see. I know everything about it." She let out dry laughter, seeing Jamie's lips put in a thin line. Like she wins the fight. 

"At least I'm not delusional like you. Kun caring about an unfortunate woman like you will never be his game. He just accepted you because he thinks that you are useful however, the moment you made a deal with the Virgo gang... You lost everything that connects to him. You are just the bastard manager like before, selfish and greedy. A bullet at the core of your dipshit brain-." Jamie knew he was in the fucked situation but having Hanako hit him using her wedge killer boots is not a wise choice because it hurts like a bitch. He feels the excruciating discomfort in his nose while the blood tasted metallic and it froze Jamie on the spot. 

Blood. 

Fuck. 

Jamie is thankful for the dim light in the small space while Hanako is hitting him at his ribs. He knew he spits blood and maybe he will fucking have a heart attack if he witnesses the red liquid in the broad light. He can hear the static starting to ring in his ears but Jamie knew better because no matter how hard it was for him to recover from panic attacks, he used the opportunity to twist his body and kick her to her joints. A loud whimper releases from her and Jamie sees her stager. 

He stood up blinking and joined her again to punch her in the corner near her nape. Hanako is not ready for the attack and she does not know Jamie's skill in fighting. Another loud groan before Jamie kicks her hand causing her to let go of the gun. She was panting when Jamie targeted her again. 

He aimed for the jaw, just the middle of the chin, and punched it so hard that Hanako knocked it out quickly. He crouches beside the unconscious body exhaling deeply because he can still hear the static, he clenches his chest, and with trembling hands, he closes his eyes and thinks of the things that make him feel calmer.

Jamie recovered not long after and took the gun that was thrown away. He checked Hanako and lifted her like a sack. He came back to her office and called security. They looked at Jamie with awe while he only gave them Hanako's passed-out body. He knew they were new and under Kun's command. He told them to isolate her in the basement. Not sure what his plan is for her yet but Jamie ordered them to make sure she won't escape. The club is closed for an infinite time. The guards didn't ask questions and only followed him, still shocked that the manager was unconscious while Jamie looked like has been beaten up. 

Jamie is pissed, he goes to the bathroom and washes the blood still quivering from the lost adrenaline. He bit his lips, controlling his anger and washing his face. He can see his aching nose and the red mark bruised closed to his chin. He sighed and felt relieved when the blood stopped coming from his nose but the pain from the fresh abuse still annoyed him. It makes him feel vulnerable and weak. Not his strong pursuit if someone asked him. 

He exits the bathroom and comes back to Hanako's office. Jamie took his phone and connected it to the computer. He runs his program security and takes everything that this damn club is hiding. His eyes darken how fifty Hanako and Virgo gang transactions were made on the premises, confidently under the Dragon's nose. He printed some and made sure to give them to Kun later. 

He pulls out the connector and deletes some of the history that the computer was invaded. He makes sure the track record is flawless before he takes his phone and calls his brother.
