Chapter 15
Jamie follows Yejin to the office. His sister is wearing a formal dress and her heels added to her height and which makes her more intimidating. She looks like a high socialite that Jamie meets in his previous life. The way she handles herself is screaming of confidence and power.
She opens the door without knocking. She looks bored while Jamie is confused and sleepy. His bangs fall to his forehead, slightly touching his eyes. Jamie blows his bangs away but only to fall to the exact place. He snorts at his childishness and realizes that he already entered the room.
In the familiar room, his father talked to him a few days ago. It's not that far and Jamie still remembers their conversation. Word for word.
He surveys the area and gets to his older brother Kun, with a man he couldn't recognize. They look like friends, too much information Jamie thought.
The only thing that earned him a frown was the person who was seated on the vast sofa. The man earlier made him panic because of their killing aura. Unlike before, Jamie is more relaxed now.
The man's gaze stops on his face before checking his outfit. He controlled rolling his eyes when he saw the gleam of amusement. The eyes meet his and Jamie is too decent to wear his blank expression. He drifted his gaze to his father who just finished talking with his sister and gave him an acknowledging gaze.
"Jamie." He started, "The person who threatened you last time is in the basement. He is a hard stone to crack." He deliberately unfinished his statement and looked at him, as if checking his expression.
"Thank you for being generous, father." Jamie mumbles. Not sure if it was the right word. Everything happened according to his plan. Now, he just needs to wait for his father to finish the job.
"This young man here helps us to find the bug. I want you to personally thank him." His father gestured to the man who was still looking at him.
Jamie smiles as he bows his head for respect.
"Thank you for your generosity Mr?" Jamie asked, pursuing his lips as the act of waiting. His old habit that he hardly gets rid of.
"Mr. Lee." He conveys. Eyes not leaving his face. Jamie nodded his head and bowed again to thank Mr. Lee for helping them.
"What's your name sweetheart?" He heard him ask.
All the people in the room gasped with the sudden endearment. His father coughs while his brother frowned deeply. His sister is glaring while the other people hide their surprise.
Jamie frowned, not happy with the way he called him even using a sweet tone.
"Mr. Lee, I am thankful for your help but with due respect. I rather called for my own name. Kim Jamie sir." Jamie is sure that he uses his formal unemotional tone. It makes him look intimidating and many of his business executives cower after hearing him speak like this.
"What a cute name for a beautiful man eh?" He laughs. The bastard laughs at him. Jamie feels irritated and almost. Almost glared at him but he chewed on the inside of his bottom lip to keep calm as he still looked at him with a neutral expression. Making his face unreadable is a huge advantage in his case.
"Thank you. My mother will be delighted if she heard it." He retorted unemotionally.
"Hmm." He hums and that's his cue. Jamie looks back at his father.
"I'll be going, dad. I still have schoolwork to finish. Good night everyone." He bows again and does not wait for their response. He swiftly runs away after closing the door. He glances at him still looking at him with emotions on his face before Jamie fully closes the door.
His journey to his room is far. When he reaches the guest room, Jamie quickly opens it and enters. He locked the door before collapsing on his bed.
He was scared and the frightening scenes extended to his chest. There is wild beating against his ribs and Jamie doesn't understand the cause of rage forming in his head.
Never in his entire life with the eyes of so many people that he was insulted! Does he dare to laugh at him? His ego cannot forgive him! He gritted his teeth. He exercises his breathing to calm down.
