Sadly the absence of baelon did nothing to stop my mothers death as it turns out she was already two months pregnant.

The babe came a month before daemons birthday, mother was given to the flames three weeks after.

I tried to console daemon as much as possible but it seemed all he wanted was father's approval but father was to preoccupied trying to keep aegon alive.

Aegon joined mother in the flames after around a year.

But the thing which hurt us the most was the fact that little over half a year after mothers death Rhaenys despite the ban claimed the red queen.

Jaehaerys was furious and demanded her to show herself at court.

Which she did attempting to intimidate the lady and lords of the red keep with her dragon but before she could land in the courtyard of the castle Gelior let out a low growl and Melys skirted away to the dragon pit despite rhaenys's protests.

When rhaenys arrived at court she was questioned as to why she ignored the kings ban she simply answered because I'm the heir why can't I have a dragon.

These were not the right words you could see her new husbands face go pale wedded for less than two nights for a bit more influence in court to hopefully save rhaenys a punishment and he could tell his wishes of his blood on the iron throne were crushed before they could even really begin.

When rhaenys was done stating her case jaehaerys was livid and straight away he announced that rhaenys was no longer in the line of succession and if any of her children claimed dragons not from their own eggs whom ever managed to kill the brats would either get a lordship or have his lordship elevated up a rank.

When the news was announced rhaenys and Corly's both went pale rhaenys started screaming and attempting to reach the king.

As the kings guard moved to interfere Corly's dragged rhaenys out of the throne room.

The next day caraxes flew to the red keep and you could hear prince aemon arguing with the king for what was the good part of two hours before he exited the kings chambers looking defeated.

He didn't return to kings landing.
