5 Chapter No.5 Devas Vs Asuras (1)

"Where is my nephew, Brother?" A beautiful woman asked Ravana with an excited gleam in her eyes as she entered the royal chambers.

"Shurpanakha," Ravana turned to face his sister, Shurpanakha, with a stern expression. "Now is not the time for trivial matters. Shani Dev has escaped, and we must find him before he wreaks havoc."

Shurpanakha's enthusiasm waned as she absorbed the seriousness in her brother's voice. "Shani Dev? Escaped? This could complicate matters."

"Indeed. His defiance cannot go unanswered. I need to ensure the stability of Lanka and the safety of our family," Ravana replied, his thoughts momentarily shifting to the potential threats that Shani Dev's escape could pose.

Shurpanakha, realizing the gravity of the situation, nodded in understanding. "I shall assist in any way I can, brother. But what about my nephew? Is he safe?"

A hint of concern crossed Ravana's face. "He is with Mandodari in the royal chamber. I have stationed guards to protect them."

"Well I will go too, I want to see my nephew first~"

As Shurpanakha made her way to the royal chamber, the tension in the air seemed to thicken. The news of Shani Dev's escape had cast a shadow over the joyous occasion of Meghnad's birth. Shurpanakha, though concerned about the potential threats, couldn't suppress her excitement at the prospect of meeting her newborn nephew.

Entering the royal chamber, Shurpanakha witnessed a heartwarming scene. Queen Mandodari, her eyes filled with affection, cradled Meghnad in her arms. The soft glow of the chamber accentuated the purity of the moment.

"Ah, Sister-In-Law, come and meet your nephew," Mandodari greeted with a warm smile.

Shurpanakha approached, her eyes fixed on the sleeping infant. "Awww~ He looks so cute and peaceful. What's his name?"

"Meghnad," Mandodari replied, a sense of pride in her voice. "Your brother named him Meghnad, meaning 'Roar of the Clouds.' Isn't he a precious gift?"

Shurpanakha couldn't help but smile, her initial concerns momentarily forgotten in the presence of the adorable newborn. "Meghnad, a fitting name for such a special child. May he bring joy and prosperity to Lanka."

As Shurpanakha observed Meghnad, her attention was drawn to the mysterious birthmark on his back. The intricate design sparked her curiosity, and she couldn't help but inquire, "What is this unique mark on him, Sister-in-law?"

Mandodari sighed, her eyes carrying a mix of awe and uncertainty. "The physicians couldn't determine its origin or significance. It's as if an ancient being or divine entity has left its mark on him. Your brother believes it's a symbol of destiny."

Shurpanakha's gaze lingered on the birthmark, and a sense of intrigue enveloped her. "Destiny, you say? There's an air of mystique around him, isn't there?"

"Indeed," Mandodari agreed. "But let us not dwell on these uncertainties. He is our son, and that's what matters most."

Shurpanakha nodded in agreement, acknowledging the wisdom in Mandodari's words. She continued to marvel at the serene beauty of Meghnad, blissfully unaware of the concerns that loomed outside the royal chamber.

As the sisters-in-law enjoyed the precious moments with the newborn, a sudden disturbance echoed through the palace. Shouts and hurried footsteps reached their ears, breaking the tranquility of the royal chamber.

Mandodari's expression shifted from joy to concern. "What is happening outside?" she wondered aloud, exchanging a worried glance with Shurpanakha.

Without waiting for an answer, the door burst open, and a breathless messenger entered. "Forgive the intrusion, Queen Mandodari. Urgent news has arrived," he panted, bowing hastily.

Mandodari composed herself, her protective instincts flaring. "Speak. What news is so pressing?"

The messenger gulped, his eyes darting nervously between the two women. "Shani Dev has been spotted near the outskirts of Lanka. He is approaching the palace with an army of Devas."

Shurpanakha's eyes widened in alarm, her earlier excitement replaced by a sense of urgency. Mandodari, though momentarily startled, quickly gathered herself. "Shani Dev and an army of Devas? This is more serious than we anticipated."

Ravana's earlier concerns echoed in Shurpanakha's mind. The potential threat to Lanka and its royal family had become a reality sooner than expected. With a determined expression, Mandodari turned to the messenger. "Gather our forces. We must prepare to defend Lanka. Inform His Majesty immediately."

The messenger nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation, and swiftly left the royal chamber to relay the urgent message. Mandodari exchanged a solemn look with Shurpanakha, the reality of the impending danger sinking in.

Mandodari, holding Meghnad protectively, turned to Shurpanakha with a grave expression. "We must ensure Meghnad's safety. Your brother will need our support in this dire situation."

"NO! Sister-in-law, You and my nephew are not allowed to leave the palace in any situation," Shurpanakha exclaimed with determination, her protective instincts kicking in. "I will not allow any harm to befall you or Meghnad."

Mandodari nodded in agreement, understanding the gravity of the situation. "We need to stay within the palace walls, but we must also be prepared for any unforeseen circumstances. The safety of Meghnad is paramount."

From the commotion, the sleeping Meghnad slowly stirred, sensing the tension in the air. His innocent eyes blinked open, oblivious to the unfolding events. Mandodari gently cradled him, whispering soothing words to maintain the calmness around him.

Shurpanakha, torn between her desire to protect her family and the impending danger, took a deep breath. "We need a secure place within the palace. Someplace hidden, where we can ensure Meghnad's safety without being directly in the line of danger."

Mandodari nodded, a glimmer of gratitude in her eyes. "There's a hidden chamber, known only to a few trusted members of the royal family. It's well-protected and away from the main corridors. We can take refuge there until the situation is under control."

As the two women moved swiftly to the concealed chamber, the urgency in the air heightened. The once joyous atmosphere of the royal chamber was replaced by a palpable sense of anxiety. Guards were mobilizing, and the distant sounds of war drums echoed through the palace.

Once inside the hidden chamber, Mandodari carefully placed Meghnad in a cradle, surrounded by protective charms. Shurpanakha stood guard near the entrance.

"We must trust that brother will handle the situation, but we cannot afford to be complacent," Shurpanakha declared, her eyes scanning the room for any potential vulnerabilities.

At the outskirts of Lankapuri, Shani Dev, the divine embodiment of the planet Saturn, stood with a stern expression. His gaze, unwavering and intense, surveyed the formidable city of Lanka. By his side, an army of Devas, celestial beings, prepared for the impending confrontation.

Ravana, the mighty king of Lanka, stood at the forefront of his own army, now in his ten-headed form radiating an air of authority. The atmosphere crackled with tension as the two opposing forces faced each other, the destiny of Lanka hanging in the balance.

Shani Dev's voice echoed with divine resonance, addressing Ravana, "Ravana, your defiance against the cosmic order cannot be tolerated. Release the devas you hold captive, and surrender yourself to the divine justice."

Ravana scoffed, a defiant glint in his eyes. "Shani Dev, you have quite the tone for someone who was under my feet just a day ago."

The celestial beings behind Shani Dev tightened their grip on their weapons, ready for the unfolding conflict. Ravana's defiance, however, remained steadfast.

"Your arrogance blinds you, Ravana. The cosmic balance must be restored, and your actions have consequences," Shani Dev declared, his voice resonating with the authority of celestial justice.

Ravana, unyielding in his resolve, retorted, "I answer to no one but myself. Lanka is under my rule, and I will not bow to the whims of the cosmos."

Shani Dev's gaze intensified, his eyes reflecting the weight of responsibility bestowed upon him by the celestial order. "Your actions have consequences, Ravana. You cannot escape the repercussions of disrupting the balance."

Ravana, ever the proud and powerful king, raised his ten heads with arrogance. "I fear no consequences. Lanka is impregnable, and I am its ruler. Your interference will be met with the full force of my might."

The clash seemed inevitable as both forces braced for impact. The celestial army behind Shani Dev tightened their formation, celestial weapons gleaming with otherworldly radiance. On the other side, Ravana's army, comprised of mighty demons, prepared for the imminent battle.

"Kumbkarna, you shall lead the vanguard," Ravana commanded, addressing his colossal brother, whose massive form loomed over the battlefield.

Kumbhakarna awakened from his slumber, and nodded with a grunt, brandishing a colossal mace. The ground trembled beneath his weight as he stepped forward, ready to face the divine forces opposing them.

Shani Dev's piercing gaze remained fixed on Ravana, his voice echoing with cosmic authority, "Ravana, the time for words has passed. The cosmic order demands correction, and I shall ensure its restoration."

As Shani Dev raised his hand, a surge of celestial energy enveloped him. The sky darkened, and a powerful aura emanated from the divine being. The battlefield became a convergence of mortal and celestial forces, with the fate of Lanka hanging in the balance.

The clash erupted with a thunderous roar as celestial weapons collided with demonic might. The air crackled with energy, and the ground shook with the intensity of the battle. Kumbhakarna, a force of destruction, plowed through the celestial ranks, his massive mace creating shockwaves that sent opponents flying.

On the other side, Ravana, with his ten heads, unleashed a barrage of spells and incantations. The celestial beings struggled against the might of the demon king, their weapons slashing just an empty wind as Ravana skillfully dodged and retaliated with his formidable powers. The battleground became a chaotic dance of cosmic forces, each side vying for supremacy.

Kumbhakarna, the colossal demon, continued his rampage through the celestial ranks. His massive mace swung with devastating force, creating shockwaves that reverberated through the battlefield. Shani Dev, however, stood resolute, channeling celestial energy to counter the demonic onslaught.

As the clash intensified, Ravana focused his attention on Shani Dev, his ten heads coordinating with eerie precision. "You may command celestial forces, Shani Dev, but you face the might of Lanka. Prepare to witness the power that has kept demons and gods alike in awe."

Shani Dev's response was a surge of celestial energy, forming a protective barrier around him. The divine glow contrasted with the dark aura emanating from Ravana, creating an otherworldly spectacle on the battlefield.

The clash between celestial and demonic forces reached a critical point, and the outcome seemed uncertain. The fate of Lanka hung in the balance as the two opposing powers collided with titanic force.
