Chapter No.13 Devil Face

The palace, bathed in an eerie glow, revealed a labyrinth of corridors and chambers. Arunasura moved with the precision of a shadow, avoiding the gaze of demonic sentinels stationed at various points. The young Yuvraj Meghnad's presence grew stronger, the intertwining energies of both celestial and demonic origin creating a distinct resonance.

Meanwhile, Arunasura approached a grand chamber, guarded by formidable demonic sentinels. The presence of the young Yuvraj Meghnad pulsed strongly within. The final stretch of his mission lay before him.

The Divine Astras at Arunasura's side emitted a subdued brilliance, ready to be unleashed at a moment's notice. The third Astra, a radiant orb of celestial energy, hovered above his palm. This Astra, known as the "Starshower Sphere," possessed the ability to create illusions and manipulate perceptions.

"A fitting tool for the final act," Arunasura thought, contemplating the most strategic use of the Starshower Sphere. He observed the patterns of the demonic sentinels, their attention fixed on guarding the chamber.

With a subtle gesture, Arunasura released the Starshower Sphere into the air. The celestial orb dispersed into a myriad of shimmering lights, creating illusions that deceived the senses of the demonic sentinels. The guards, momentarily disoriented, turned their gaze away from the chamber's entrance.

Seizing the opportune moment, Arunasura slipped through the illusions and approached the chamber where Yuvraj Meghnad resided. Kavya, still placing the young prince on his bed, felt a subtle disturbance in the energies around her but remained unaware of the true threat.

As Arunasura entered the chamber, the ambient energies shifted, alerting Kavya to an intruder's presence. Her eyes narrowed as she scanned the surroundings, the protective instincts honed through years of training kicking in.

"Who goes there?" Kavya demanded, her voice cutting through the silence of the chamber.

Arunasura stepped out of the shadows, his dark form contrasting with the gentle glow of the celestial energies. The Divine Astras at his side were poised for action, their radiance revealing their otherworldly nature.

"I am Arunasura, emissary of King Vritra, here on a mission of consequence," he declared, his voice carrying the weight of purpose.

Kavya tightened her grip on Meghnad, her eyes narrowing further. "An emissary in the dead of night? I find your explanation lacking."

The air crackled with tension as the two beings faced each other – one, a skilled assassin with a mission fueled by the complexities of alliances, and the other, a fierce protector, sworn to defend the young Yuvraj at all costs.

"Sorry, I don't have time for a measly maid. So do a favor to yourself and step aside, or things might get unpleasant," Arunasura warned, his eyes glinting with little lust as he looked at the figure of the 'measly maid'.

Kavya's gaze remained unwavering, her resolve firm despite the thinly veiled threat. "Measly maid, you say? Underestimate me at your peril. I am the shield that guards Yuvraj Meghnad, and I will not yield to the likes of you."

Arunasura, though cloaked in darkness, exuded an aura of confidence. "Your loyalty is commendable, but it stands in the way of a mission of consequence. Move aside, and no harm will befall you."

Kavya shifted her stance, a subtle dance of readiness. "I swore an oath to protect the Yuvraj with my life. I won't let your mission, whatever it may be, jeopardize his safety."

Without further words, Arunasura lunged forward, the celestial dagger in his hand glinting ominously. Kavya, with practiced agility, evaded the initial strike, her movements fluid and precise. The clash between the emissary and the guardian echoed in the chamber.

The chamber reverberated with the clash of weapons, each strike a testament to the skill and determination of the combatants. Arunasura, with the precision of a seasoned warrior, aimed to incapacitate Kavya swiftly and proceed with his mission. Kavya, on the other hand, danced through the confrontation with a grace that belied her status as a mere maid.

As the celestial dagger and Kavya's concealed blades met in a flurry of strikes, the young Yuvraj Meghnad, still nestled in his cradle, observed the unfolding struggle with amazed expression.

"Damnit! You are good, Actually too good but in front of Divine Astra you are nothing."

"Nagapasha!"

Arunasura, realizing the formidable skills of Kavya, decided to unleash the power of the Divine Astra named "Nagapasha." The celestial energy surged through the dagger, transforming it into a coiling serpent of radiant light. The Nagapasha, a mystical entity with the ability to ensnare and immobilize its target, struck with swift precision.

The Nagapasha, with ethereal grace, slithered towards Kavya, its radiant coils moving with preternatural speed. Kavya, recognizing the celestial threat, swiftly maneuvered to evade the mystical serpent's grasp. But the Nagapasha, with its celestial speed and precision, proved to be a formidable opponent. It moved with a mind of its own, anticipating Kavya's every evasion attempt.

Arunasura watched with satisfaction as the Nagapasha closed in on Kavya, its radiant coils surrounding her in an otherworldly dance. After fully coiling around her in a tight grip, the Nagapasha tightened its hold, constricting Kavya's movements. She struggled against the ethereal serpent's grip, her blades rendered momentarily ineffective.

Arunasura advanced, confident that the Nagapasha had subdued his opponent. "Your skills are impressive, but even the most skilled can't escape the grasp of Nagapasha. It's a creation of celestial energy itself."

After saying that he started walking toward the bed where Meghnad was looking at the system panel.

"So you are the little prince everyone is fussing about huh~ you don't look like much."

Arunasura, confident in the Nagapasha's restraint over Kavya, approached Meghnad's cradle with a smirk. The radiant glow of the celestial dagger in his hand reflected in his eyes as he looked down at the infant prince.

"Your guardian is quite resilient, little Yuvraj, but not resilient enough," Arunasura commented, his voice laced with a sinister undertone.

But the moment Arunasura looked into the eyes of Meghnad-

"Gu-Gu~"(Devil Face!)

AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

A terrified scream escaped Arunasura's throat as he witnessed the face of the most hideous sight he had ever encountered. Yuvraj Meghnad, the seemingly innocent infant, had transformed his cherubic expression into a demonic visage that sent shivers down Arunasura's spine.

Whiff~

As if released from the confines, Two eternal wings sprouted and spread wide from Meghnad's back, their ethereal glow filling the chamber. The celestial and demonic energies within the young prince surged, creating an aura that transcended the mortal and embraced the divine.

Slowly but surely Meghnad flapped his wings with an otherworldly grace, lifting himself from the cradle. Arunasura, still recoiling from the terrifying transformation, stumbled backward, his confidence replaced by a newfound sense of dread.

Due to Arunasura standing right in the line Kavya's eyes she didn't get to see Meghnad's Devil Face. But she did see him levitate in the air with his wings unfurled, a sight that left her both astonished and perplexed.

"What... what is this?" Arunasura stammered, his gaze fixed on the levitating infant with demonic wings. The celestial dagger in his hand trembled, its radiant glow flickering in the face of the unexpected turn of events.

Giggle~ Giggle~

Meghnad continued to hover in the air, his cute giggles now resonating with a mixture of celestial and demonic echoes. The chamber seemed to pulsate with the energies emanating from the young Yuvraj, creating an otherworldly atmosphere.

Kavya, still ensnared by the Nagapasha, observed the scene with a mixture of adoration and regret? as her thoughts were, 'Yuvraj looks so cute giggling like that, Ahhhh! I want to curdle with him~'

A vein popped at Meghnad's head as he saw Kavya's expression.

'Hey! Woman, I am here trying that famous villain laughter stop that expression people will misunderstand Hmph~'

"Gu~ Bao~"(Power Of Destruction!)

A radiant red aura energy emitted from Meghnad's tiny hands as he extended them towards Arunasura-

[Host only destroy his head.]

'Mm...Why?'

[Just do it, I will explain later.]

'*Sigh* Okay, But it better be worth it.'

The red aura started to get compressed till it looked like a red crystalized ball.

Whoosh~

In a swift motion, Meghnad released the condensed red energy, aiming it directly at Arunasura. The crimson sphere surged with a potent force, hurtling towards the surprised assassin with remarkable speed.

Arunasura, still recovering from the shock of Meghnad's transformation, barely had time to react. The red energy collided with him, engulfing his head which started to get 'erased' from existence. The Nagapasha, sensing its master's impending demise, dissipated into celestial energy, leaving Kavya free from its ethereal grip.

As the red energy dissipated, Arunasura's headless form crumpled to the ground, his dark silhouette fading into nothingness. The celestial dagger, now without a wielder, clattered to the floor, its radiant glow diminishing.
