Shin powers

Looking in front of me was Shin, the so-called new Akatsuki leader, with something that deeply interested me.

His false Mangekyo Sharingan. Even with cuts all over my body, I couldn't find the answer to my question.

"Will it work? Or not."

He didn't seem like he wanted to talk in his injured state. Pointing his hand toward me, all his black knives shot at great speed towards my head.

Even though I had consumed a lot of black chakra when fighting his clones, I discovered something useful about my so-called powers.

I could devour someone's chakra directly from their main body, not just their jutsus. It sounds good, but I need to keep contact with that body, and the purification of the chakra was already slow. Now, with the addition of needing to hold someone's body, it was even more nerve-racking.

At least it was good to know, but now was not the moment to think about that as I gathered enough chakra from fighting Shin's clones.

Seeing the black knives heading my way even before he raised his arm, it was just too easy. All I lacked was the reaction time.

Grabbing one of Shin's clone's bodies, I threw it towards the barrage of knives while propelling myself backward.

Landing on my feet smoothly, I saw as the black knives pierced through his clone and continued to head towards me. But all the knives stopped near my face and dropped to the ground. I could see clearly in front of me as Sakura retracted her fist, which just punched Shin's face.

Sending him flying sideways, looking in my direction, she gave me a 'we will talk at home about this' look. While the knives again began to hover in the air and I dashed towards the direction he was sent.

'No joke, I didn't plan that he would return with Sakura, but it's good that now she can become bait.'

One set of knives began to fly my way while the others headed towards Sakura. Sakura started dodging them in a sideways motion.

While I continued running towards Shin, even though the knives were an inch from my back. Launching forward, I sent a punch directly towards his face.

But he blocked it while starting to squeeze my little punch, as I could hear bone-cracking sounds. My kunai that was in my other hand dropped as I could feel a lot of pain from my other arm.

"TAIYO!" Sakura screamed while trying to head towards us, but she just couldn't as one of the knives pierced her skin.

"Haha, you really dared to rush like that? Even though you're a Uchiha like myself, I can't spare you."

But I didn't listen to his talk, as with my other hand, I planted three fingers in his stitched eye socket.

Pulling the eye out, I could feel the knife penetrating my back while my fist gave his last crack as Shin was furious, digging his knives deeper.

I didn't let that slide, as I used all my might to raise my hand towards my mouth. He didn't have time to even think what I was about to do as I gulped the eye down my throat.

"NOOOO!"

Throwing my body as a toy in the air, he concentrated the other group of knives he split towards my front body.

Sakura started screaming too as she tried to rush towards Taiyo, but she was just too far to reach in time. Leaving her just to watch as her son was about to die.

But to Shin's surprise, the knives were blocked by one of his dead clones flying in front of his knives. While Taiyo hit the ground with the knives in his body impaling even deeper.

Shin didn't have time to question what happened as the kunai that was dropped in front of him shot directly towards his neck, impaling his neck, leaving him shocked.

He tried to cover the wound with his hand, but it was useless as blood continued to pour. Leaving him dying slowly while he couldn't utter a word.

Sakura, seeing all of this, finally arrived beside Taiyo, gently hugging his unconscious body to give it support. Began to emit a green light from her hand.

While with the other, she started to remove the knives from Taiyo's back as tears started to pour from her eyes.

But she knew she couldn't be weak at this moment as the other Shin clones were closely watching her.

Even though they didn't attack, it was clear that they wouldn't let them escape from this location. While another clone walked closely to Shin's body.

Looking at it with indifferent eyes, it crouched down as it placed its hand on Shin's face, closing the remaining eye from his face.

The darkness from Taiyo's mind finally began to fade away as he began to think how much he loved to end up in dangerous situations. Even now he doesn't know if he's alive or dead.

When he finally opened his eyes, he found himself in the same lovely bed he always woke up in after something big happened.

A hospital bed.

Looking around, he couldn't see anyone as he opened his special Sharingan this time while moving his wounded body into a better position.

"Looks like I still have one tomoe, but that's not what interested me right now."

Slowly, the glass of water beside him started to float in the air. But just as it was rising, it started to shake violently as in a second it dropped the water all over the floor.

While Taiyo caught the glass before it hit the ground and shattered.

"It's way easier to directly shoot an object than guiding it through the air... at least at my level."

Taiyo said while sighing as he put the glass back and buried his head on the pillow.

'Looks like I found a new way to use this power, even though I'm not about to go and eat eyeballs anymore. I did it back then because I couldn't absorb the eye fast enough.'
