Chapter 20: System Shop
I was standing just beside a road railing; the sea was calm, the evening breeze passing by my skin. This was a very desirable moment for me.
The sun was going down, leaving a beautiful orange glow. I can't enjoy this scenery for now though, since I was covered with monster guts and blood.
This happened because a few minutes ago, I had found an abandoned tunnel that had a suspiciously eerie atmosphere around it. The inside of the tunnel was very dark, so it is very hard to see, even though my eyesight is literally out of this world.
So I entered the tunnel without thinking much. Nothing can surprise me more than my head turning bald anyway. It was hard to navigate inside the tunnel and I felt like a blind guy with a walking stick trying to cross the road.
The tunnel was so damned long I couldn't even see the other end yet. I got irritated because there was no light source here, so I took out my flip phone so I can at least see where I'm going. You know what? Why didn't I do this from the start?
Anyway, the moment there was light here, I suddenly saw myself surrounded by monsters. How did I not sense them? Though the reason for that is probably that I was too focused on not tripping earlier.
I calmly looked at them and started counting their numbers. And there was a lot that I didn't even know it's possible to fit that many in this tunnel. I sensed at least 200+ here. I probably entered a monster's den unknowingly.
I smirked. All I can see in front of was free System Points. At least a quarter of them were tiger levels, and the rest were only at most wolf levels. This would earn me a couple of hundred points or even reach a thousand.
I wouldn't let this chance pass by. So, without waiting much more, I started my massacre. And now, a few minutes later, I had found myself standing at the side of the road calmly staring at the horizon.
I couldn't handle the smell any longer, so I ran at a fast pace straight into my apartment. And took a long-ass shower because when I got out; it was already night, and I had missed dinner. I sighed, and just slept early today.

The next morning, I checked my kills count. turns out there were over 200 monsters living there. The exact number was 342. I killed 56 tiger levels and the rest were-wolf levels. I got 2,800 System Points just by killing the tiger levels alone.
And I earned even more from the wolf-level monsters getting me an extra 2,860, so in total. I earned 5,660. It's pretty easy to gain System Points. I will not lie.
Though, I don't know if the system made it easy for me to gain points or the items in the shop are just expensive. Well, it's not like I'm going to buy anything yet. I haven't even looked inside the shop.
Hmm, guess I'll check now while I'm at it. I mentally commanded the system to open the shop.

I saw all kinds of items inside the shop, but this. I didn't expect to see it here. Probably should have expected it because the system said I can buy anything here. [A/N: The only limitation here is my imagination and lack of information.]
Well, some of the stuff that this shop offers me is useless, as you know. I'm Saitama. But it would be useful for the future acquaintances I will have that I trust enough. It would make their strength increase considerably and maybe be on par with a god-level threat someday.
Sigh, I wonder when will I meet that green-haired legal loli again. I'm craving physical interaction right now, unlike the OG Saitama, who's always emotionless. I'm actually a normal human being with emotions and stuff.
I saw a tiny magnifier on the top of the panel, so I clicked it. It was the search option. So if the system said I can buy 'anything', then does that mean I can get that certain OP item that would save me in a dire situation?
Let's find out then, clicking the search tab and writing a certain word. It showed up.

I expected it to be expensive but not this high. Sigh, looks like I won't be able to get this item for now. I waved my hand and mentally commanded the system to close the shop.
I got up and went straight to the bathroom to change into my tracksuit. And went outside to do my daily training, and why not hunt some monster while I'm at it.

I went a little overboard. I got too engrossed and killed too many monsters. It was already noon. Well, I guess it's fine as long as it benefits me. And I've been noticing the increasing amount of monsters here.
The people living near the ghost part of City-Z had already fled in fear of getting attacked by the monsters. And they've installed fences in the perimeter of this area. I don't even know why, because monsters can just cut through that, but I think its purpose is to keep people from blindly coming in here.
Now, I'm the only person living here. And my rent considerably went down! I don't even know why I care about that.
Someone interrupted me in my thought by throwing a car at me. It was a monster and a dragon-level threat, too. How lucky of me, and how unlucky of you to meet me.

Heh, easy money- I was interrupted yet again by a pair of hands grabbing both my legs from underneath. And pulled me to the bottom of the earth's crust.
