43 - Trouble In Another Realm (2)

This caused them both to stop fighting immediately.

"What did you say?'' Kratos was very agitated now.

Iris didn't care for the way Kratos was looking at her, '' We found out that his body is being attacked by his powers. Hestia will explain it to you better, but we have to get there as soon as possible.''

''Okay. Kratos, come here.'' Poseidon called Kratos, who was about to start running in the direction of his house.

''What is it, Poseidon? This is an emergency!''

Poseidon sighed, '' I know. I'll give you a hand.''

When Kratos got close to Poseidon, the Sea God took his arm and asked, "Which way is your house?''

It took a second, but Kratos pointed in one direction.

"Okay. The landing is up to you!'' Poseidon used his strength and launched Kratos in the direction of his house.

Only Iris and Poseidon were left on the scene. The God knew he was slower than her, so he asked, '' How about you give me a ride?''

Kratos landed near his house, which caused a small earthquake in the area, but he didn't care about that, since Atreus was in danger.

'If something happened to him... I don't know what I would do.'

Kratos' life was full of tragedy, and the God of War didn't know if he could handle losing another family member.

As soon as he spotted his house, Kratos came crashing through the door, '' What happened!?''

The situation inside the house was normal. Everyone inside looked at Kratos as if he were crazy.

Hestia knew that Iris must not have explained properly, '' It's an emergency, but not that big of an emergency. Calm down and let me explain.''

Kratos knew he had misunderstood so he sat down. After a while, he calmed down, '' Okay. Tell me the situation.''

Hestia nodded and told Kratos about the fact that Atreus had 2 types of very powerful powers and they were fighting inside his body to gain more space. And that was slowly killing him.

''If he had used any of his powers, he would probably have gone into a coma and died soon after. You not talking about his powers might have saved his life.'' Hestia gave Kratos words of support.

It took a while, but Kratos absorbed everything she said. He was still angry with Laufey for hiding her race, but he knew that the priority was Atreus, '' Were you guys able to think of anything to help?''

Everyone in the house shook their heads negatively, ''So far, we can't think of any solutions. We were waiting for you and Poseidon to arrive to see if we could come to some conclusions.''

'' And I do have something in mind, but it's dangerous.'' The person who spoke was Poseidon, who arrived just in time to hear what Hestia said.

'' How dangerous?''

First, Poseidon looked at Laufey, '' Why did you put the barrier around the house?"

Laufey knew that this was her time to speak the truth and only the truth, '' My race ... it was hunted by the gods of this realm. We almost became extinct, thanks to the Chaos attack a few decades ago and the attacks of the gods.''

Some members of the giant race could see the future through prophecies and were attacked by Chaos creatures, like the Egyptian and Greek realms.

''I put up this barrier to keep these forces away from the house... don't tell me you want to lure them here!?''Laufey was not stupid and she sort of understood Poseidon's plan.

"I want you to break the barrier.''

"But why?'' That was the part that was puzzling the other members. How would that help the situation?

"You'll have to trust me.'' Poseidon sort of knew what was going to happen, but it had been so long since he had played the game that certain memories were failing to come back.

The location of Freya and Mimir was one of them.

The plan was to attract the attention of Odin, who would send Baldur, just as he did in the game, and Poseidon would 'kindly' ask for Mimir's location.

Or he could ask Laufey now. That would bring some suspicion and change the game plot a lot, but Poseidon really didn't care.

'' Then forget the more dangerous plan. Let's go for a smarter one.'' Poseidon looked at Laufey, '' Do you know where Mimir is imprisoned?''

Laufey was shocked, "How do you know about Mimir!?''

Poseidon's group had arrived less than ten hours ago in the Norse Realm. There was no way Poseidon could have known about this.

Poseidon pointed at Isis, '' You don't know how good the intelligence system of the Egyptian Realm is.''

Isis was shocked to become the focus of attention, but she decided to help, '' Yes, we know about Mimir's history. We just don't know his current location.''

Which was true. Isis also knew about Freya, but also did not know her location.

Laufey was still suspicious but decided to believe Poseidon, '' If my husband trusts you, you have my trust... I don't know the exact location either, but they say he is on the highest peak of Midgard.''

''That's enough. Kratos and Atreus will come with me and we will pay this Mimir a visit. He should know how to help in the situation with Atreus. The rest of you stay here and take care of Laufey's safety.''

After making the plan and deciding to head out tomorrow morning, Poseidon went close to Isis, '' Thanks for having my back.''

''Don't mention it... But how do you know about Mimir?'' Isis was genuinely confused.

Poseidon gave a mysterious smile, '' It's a secret.''

It must be said, Isis found Poseidon quite attractive, and this smile just now made him even more handsome in her eyes.

WITH ODIN

What the group didn't know was that Odin had sensed their presence when they approached the Norse realm.

'' Hmm?'' Odin was in a dark corner of Midgard, making preparations to open another chaos portal.

This would be the 3rd one in Midgard.

Just then, he felt the presence of several powerful individuals, ' Gods? No, if it was one of ours I would have recognized them... They aren't Chaos creatures because the portals haven't been fully opened... that just leaves the Giants!'

Just as he was about to see the exact location, the forces disappeared. Odin recognized what it was instantly, 'A barrier! And one of the most powerful. I can no longer feel any presence. And to think that there would be giants hiding in Midgard...'

Still, Odin remembered the surroundings where he felt the presence, 'Should I send someone to investigate? Killing giants is up to Thor, but I want one of them alive. The last one I captured died too soon and I haven't had much progress with my experiments.'

Odin would not use Tyr for mere experiments. He uses the Giant and Mimir to feed his need to see others suffering.

'Heimdal is no longer the same, something to do with the Chaos portals that opened 100 years ago, but what matters is that he is no longer of any use to me. I leave him alone to see if he recovers, but so far, no progress.'

Yes, Heimdal was also affected by what happened to the oracles in all realms. As one of his biggest assets is Foresight, he was shaken. He eventually regained his powers, but the experience changed him greatly.

'The forces I felt were too powerful, so I can't send Thor's useless sons... That leaves only Baldur.'

Deciding who he would send, Odin turned himself into some ravens and went to Asgard. Why he didn't go and investigate is a mystery.

'By the way, I almost forgot to visit Mimir today. I love to watch his expression while I torture him.'

GREEK REALM

A woman dressed in strange clothes stepped through the barrier of the Between the Realms and into the Greek realm. She had a sword on either side of her body and what looked like a mirror on her back.

This woman was bleeding profusely, but when she saw where she was, she was relieved, '' I finally found a realm!''

The mysterious woman noticed that this realm was not yet infested with Chaos creatures, '' A good sign! It means Chaos hasn't attacked this place yet.''

Realizing that her wounds were not healing, the woman continued walking forward in search of a place to rest.

'Susanoo... I promise you that I will avenge you!'

The mysterious woman was Amaterasu, a Japanese Goddess, who had seen her realm destroyed and her friend, Susanoo, captured by the Chaos forces. She fought with everything she had but was forced into Between the Realms. She wandered around, killing thousands of creatures until she found the Greek Realm.

Amaterasu didn't know how much time had passed, but that didn't matter anymore. What she wanted most now was revenge!

Unfortunately for her, the Chaos forces that were following her into the Between the Realms also followed her into the Greek Realm. When she felt the presence of the creatures, she prepared herself for battle, 'If I hadn't been hurt by that huge creature... these ones wouldn't be a problem now.'

Amaterasu didn't know it, but she too withstood an attack from Cthulhu. Of course, she had help from Susanoo, who took the most damage of the two, leading to his capture. Amaterasu was injured afterwards, but it's still an impressive feat to survive the attack.

It didn't take long for the Chaos creatures to reach Amaterasu, who did a quick count, ' 10, 20, 30 ... 50 creatures.'

But Amaterasu didn't care much. Those numbers were still low. She just picked up both swords and prepared herself, '' Come!''

As if someone had answered her, the water around where she was standing began to rise. By the time the Chaos creatures realized this, it was too late.

' BOOM'

A blow of that magnitude was enough to kill more than half of the enemy forces. Neptune, who did the attack, appeared in front of Amaterasu and imitated his father with a smile, '' Hello, pretty lady. Do you need help?''

The remaining creatures saw that Neptune had his back turned to them and decided to attack.

Amaterasu was going to shout to be careful, but it wasn't necessary. Out of nowhere, the creatures were attacked by a blur. It was Minerva, who killed the rest of the creatures in an instant.

When she was done, Minerva said, ''I expect more of them. Mother said they are strong, but this... disappointing.''

'' Sister, maybe they are the weaker ones! Like father says, don't underestimate your enemies!'' Neptune scolded his sister for being so relaxed.

'' Ok, ok. I'll be careful.''

Neptune turned his attention to Amaterasu, '' Are you okay?''

Amaterasu was in a daze. ' Where did I end up?'
